Yes, Osun is developing and those who know what Osun used to be some ten years ago will not agree less.
Last I checked, debt isn’t bad at all. Economists even argue in favour of incurring debts, provided such debts are expended on the right projects. In this case, I dare say if the present Osun government is owing, it has done so on the right projects. Oyinlola incured a lot of debt too with virtually nothing to show for it. It is not surprising that U.S, China, Japan and Germany top the list of countries with the highest debt profile.

P.S: I am not exonerating Aregbesola of any form of mismanagement typical of Nigerian politicians. If he is found wanting in any way, he should ne brought to books. That said, he has brought a new dawn to Osun and arguably, he is the best governor Osun has had yet.

I agree with you to some point, but to say Oyinlola incurred a lot of debt with nothing to show for it is mischievous. His total debt unpaid as at when he left was around 14billion naira, yet he left around 6billion in the coffers of the state. He built a multi campus university with the salary structure 1% better than federal universities. He built the second best NYSC orientation camp in Nigeria. In Osogbo alone, he dualized the Olaiya - Akoda road and the Oke - fia - Omobolanle road (that I know of). He was the one that started the school feeding program (ounje and tea oyin) for which Aregbe has been blowing his own trumpet. His investment into human resources is unprecedented. He never owed salaries and allowances and promotions are always timely. The six mini stadia for which he borrowed the said loan would have been completed if not for his ouster. I am not excusing his many failures but then, he contributed his part without throwing us into debt for another four decades.

This is hilarious. In 2014, this same Ayodele predicted that Fayemi will win Ekiti while Omisore will win Osun, the opposite played out. After that, he predicted that Fayose will not last nine months in office before being impeached, well, Fayose is still the Governor. I guess it is safe to say whatever this man predicts, the opposite is bound to happen- at least where Osun and Ekiti are concerned.

You really need to stop lying, it's not by force to comment or spew ignorance.

Maybe you should ask your paymasters what the truth really is or better still find any worker near you and ask. Modulated salary structures only came in effect after December 2016 during the bail out saga. But then what is the point of this discourse, you are either doing what you are paid to do or have been totally brainwashed, so you are gonna believe what you are gonna believe. IRRESPECTIVE OF THE TRUTH!

I don't even know what to do, whether to laugh or pity you. Ask any educationalist in Osun, or better still google the performance of Osun students in external examinations during the tenure of Aregbesola against before him. Osun that was once number four now rests in number 29! Don't just throw propagandis data around and call it fact. Our education sector is in ruins and this has nothing to do with hate.

Not only are you an ignoramus nincompoop, you are also naively dumb. Aregbe has been paying half salaries since July 2015 up till date, or doesn't that qualify as owing salaries to you? Just for the sake of records and your fellow nitwits, let me elaborate the situation in Osun for you. From July 2015 to December 2016, every worker in the state from grade level 8 and above collected 50% of their salaries. From December 2016 after the FG gave states bail out, he modulated the salaries in such a way that workers from level 8 to 10 got 75% of their pay check while levels 12 and above got 50% up till date. So pls, before shitting from the mouth next time, get your facts straight.

It is not the debt that matters, it's what toy did with them. At least, your projects are development oriented. There's no society that can be truly developed without massive investment in education.

BTW, ask those above me castigating the governor what their governors did with their borrowed monies. Delta and Cross River especially.

Borrowing money isn't a crime so far it was judiciously spent.

Yet, the quality of the said education is worsening as you can see from the results of the external examinations in the state. That is what you get when you think investing in school buildings at the expense of teachers' welfare, books and laboratory equipment is the same as investing in education.

Oh, but he did build schools and hospitals. And as much as I detest his nonpayment of salaries, just come to Osun where workers have been receiving half salaries since July 2015.
