jayooh: Hello Please, could you help with tips on getting academic supervisor at manitoba? I need one seriously. Thanks Lol. Well, I didn't secure a supervisor before I got my admission (even till now), as it is not necessary in my department. Email the graduate chair in your intended department to be sure you need a supervisor. But if you'd done this already and it's affirmative, there are steps once listed on this thread on effective ways to get one. Try searching pls. These I can remember: Search for lecturers that you have interest in their research areas in your intended department. Research on the few lecturers you pick to have a background knowledge of their work and interests and where yours coincide with theirs. Then, mail them. You fit attach your CV sef. If after sending mails, they don't respond. Try calling! Yes, try calling them. Ensure you call them at the 'right time' oh: take note of time differences. Best wishes. |

Nice one. The last sketch (the lady) is my favourite. 'Not sure you completely nailed the 'water dripping from the face of a screaming person' (third sketch). I first thought it was the person's skin falling off. Nonetheless, this is awesome! |

TheBae: You should be bothered if you applied via paper route. For online, it doesn't really matter since you have your original passport. But you should make a copy of your data page still. I stand to be corrected. I applied online. Thanks to all. God bless. |

Omonjoe: I am about applying for my TRV online, pls, under which document name should I upload my birth certificate, receipt of part tuition payment and Police character clearance(if I decide to get it but I doubt if I can go get it cos of my location and schedule, hope i am still safe without it?) In my opinion, Birth Cert may be uploaded under additional documents. And it should be scanned as one of the last documents 'cos it's not 'that relevant'. People forge birth certificates; but inconsistency in any of your documents as regards your birth date will surely raise eyebrows. Anything that has to do with finances should be under proof of sponsorship. Be it part payment, scholarship or assistantship offer etc except the funding came with your acceptance or admission letter which has its own separate place to be uploaded. Police Character should also be an additional document. And I don't think it's necessary. |

kennykentipsy: a friend of mine has a CGPA 4.00 from a federal university he studied B.sc comp sci he's currently serving and working as a programmer at a firm..
is he qualified for a full funded scholarship in Canada?
if yes
he wants to apply for a scholarship in Canada pls how does he go about it so I can explain to him.. pls for those who already have their offer letter thru scholarship pls how will he go about it
I can only explain the visa application part to him since I am nt in scholarship ..... thank y'all He should search for less competitive schools with respect to his intended course of study. Then apply for admission with a powerful SOP. Also, he can search for departmental and faculty funding opportunities available. |
