You'all now see that "almighty" Hollywood makes silly mistakes too? ![]() Cc: lalasticlala |
13. American Hustle See that Rolex? It was made in 2010, but the movie takes place in the '70s. Weird. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/f9a06063-8c18-4dd4-b372-6987fcc2869c.jpg?impolicy=mobile 14. Dirty Dancing Throughout the film, Baby can be seen sporting a cute pair of denim shorts that were made popular throughout the 1980s. Too bad the film was set in the '60s! https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/cbe100d2-652d-432a-95d3-b62437507b8b.jpg?impolicy=mobile 15. Gladiator In this iconic scene, Russel Crowe's shorts can be seen underneath his tunic, and I think it's safe to say that nobody in Ancient Rome had bike shorts... https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/77239099-3180-431e-96ba-daeac6ccf197.jpg?impolicy=mobile http://diply.com/auntyacid/article/worst-film-costume-fails/5 COMMENT and let us know what other movie goofs you've spotted |
10. Pearl Harbour Almost none of the women in the film are seen wearing nylon stockings, even though this was commonplace before WWII. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/d52380db-18f3-4014-902c-b57e1c85b042.jpg?impolicy=mobile 11. The Ten Commandments Though this film has a ton of historical inaccuracies, one of the most obvious is Nefertiti's dress. The dye needed to make a dress that color simply doesn't exist in nature and therefore couldn't be made at that time in history. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/46685c97-caaa-413b-ae42-7ab81a99ea56.jpg?impolicy=mobile 12. Amadeus Many outfits throughout the film have zippers, even though they weren't invented until 120 years after Mozart's death. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/aca05079-e9e9-4137-b03e-642aa476ecdb.jpg?impolicy=mobile |
7. Singin' In The Rain The pink, poofy gown that Cathy wears in this scene was a very popular look in the 1950s, however the film is supposed to take place in the '20s. Awkward... https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/9de406b1-ffde-4548-8b61-c925999f0666.jpg?impolicy=mobile 8. Seabiscuit If you pay attention to the jockeys you'll notice that all of them are wearing chinstraps. This was a feature that wasn't introduced to horseracing until 1956, however the film takes place in the '30s. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/c6f18590-ebdd-44fa-9ae0-cb298812f6a9.jpg?impolicy=mobile 9. The Aviator These thin, frameless glasses that Robert Gross wears are far too modern of a look for the 1920s. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/6ea6c0cd-57bb-4d3f-b53f-b88c52ed2415.jpg?impolicy=mobile |
4. Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade All of those Nazis that Harrison Ford fights are wearing war medals that were used during WWII. However, the film is supposed to take place before the war even happened. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/dd940297-4350-46fd-ac37-5b334e12af63.jpg?impolicy=mobile 5. Schindler's List Have you ever noticed that all of the women in the film have shaven legs and armpits? Not only is it hard to believe that the women in the concentration camps were so concerned about their body hair, but shaving wasn't much of a trend for European women in the 1940s. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/4df5c1c0-2d40-49bb-bef1-4e96896b59fb.jpg?impolicy=mobile 6. Pirates Of The Caribbean Have you ever noticed the random cowboy in this scene of the movie? He must not have gotten the memo that they were playing pirates... https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/08929a12-f3ed-4223-9373-a701b878b290.jpg?impolicy=mobile |
2. Django Unchained Despite the fact that sunglasses weren't worn in America until the year 1929, Jamie Foxx can be seen sporting a nice pair throughout this Tarantino epic set about 70 years prior. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/e54990b4-b2a9-4340-b41a-1de0ad7402b2.jpg?impolicy=mobile 3. My Girl Remember Vada's mood ring? Well it must give her the power to travel through time because these weren't invented until three years after the film is supposed to take place. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/a24b97dd-ad7c-43a0-8edd-c39fc9452bd0.jpg?impolicy=mobile |
Okay, I'll admit that I'm not one to notice the small details of life. I remember when I first got my drivers license and got behind the wheel that I couldn't remember how to get to certain places that I'd been to millions of times before. I was just used to being taken there while I daydreamed in the passenger seat! But this lack of attention to detail has definitely gotten me concerned, especially when I realized I missed a few of THESE major costume mistakes in my favorite movies. 1. Braveheart History has proven that people in Scotland didn't wear kilts until about the 16th century. However, Mel Gibson's character can be seen rocking one throughout the entire Braveheart movie, which takes place in the 1300s. https://img.diply.com/article-images/a/d1448433-895d-4bdf-a2e2-84174fac1915.jpg?impolicy=mobile |
Decibel:let me put it to you that I am neither yoruba nor Hausa. I just don't know how to have a head/brain without using it. |
Decibel:Abegi, this has nothing to do with cowardice. This is wisdom! This is diplomacy! It takes people with wisdom to reason like him. In the end, it's the innocents that will suffer..so why not handle it with sense? It takes a lotta wisdom to kill a fly perching on ones scrotum. You don't use weapons to do that. Think! |
dollyjoy:So, what will happen if you marry a complete man...and in just few weeks, he gets involved in a fatal accident n becomez a cripple...what would you do? |
The man may be crippled, but his manhood isnt. |
You and who? ![]() |
kcnwaigbo:Abeeeg keeep kwaayet! Fayose is having the time of his life in Ekiti cos of the gullible ones like you singing his praises. Nigeria needs to be delivered from your likes, honestly. ![]() |
omaolowo:The most annoying thing is the way he criticises the government as if he sincerely means well for Nigerians. Who wld ever imagine Fayose is one of the causes of the problems we are faced with now? |

If you kill someone, I do not know why the penalty for such offence is not being killed the way n manner in which you committed that offence..i.e you beat someone to death, you get the same treatment (get beaten to death). |
Blessynokoro:No, it has improved. You nitwit, how has kanu's arrest affected the country asidess the noise pollution it is generating from the east? ![]() |
The fools are always planning to do something. When will they ever do it? If not for social media sef(which even fools have access to these days), who wld have known they exist. Shallow chest beaters! |
BALLOSKI:Yea, On his laps |
wiseoneking:you call this constructive? Are you also too blind to see the last man in the corner with a pen? If this is what you call constructive criticism, then you should change your moniker to something far from it. Spits* |
SCAM everywhere! its sad that women are majority of their preys. Even though the Holy Bible calls them weaker vessel, should they be this mentally weak? |
... |
The man in the extreme end on the Nigerian side has a pen. Kperogi shld shut the fvck up. Plus, what if someone on the Nigerian side is busy recording? Must they hold a pen and a paper? You never hear oyinbo accent well, you wan dey write...wetin you dey write? ![]() |
AlphaT1:what is the basis for this your calculation when the 5points grading system has been scrapped? ![]() |
I don't just know.. she looks like a nollywood witch to me ![]() |
