The have absolutely no say in matters like this, just like those badly educated uthman Dan fodio university students who protested that the federal government should implement RUGA. If they want RUGA they should tell the Federal government to implement it in the university, after all the school is very very big.

Nigerians are definitely smarter than most of these countries, but the odds are against us societally and economically.

Many of those who meet these metrics are Nigerians born abroad, and the credit goes to where they were raised.

The United States has advised its citizens in Nigeria to avoid large crowds and demonstration by the members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as Shiites.

Recall that the Islamic sect last week had a violent clash with security operatives within the precincts of the National Assembly which culminated in burning of police vehicles, injuries to persons on both sides and arrest of over 40 suspects.

However, in a statement issued on Saturday by the US Mission in Abuja, American citizens were alerted to expected protests by members of the sect across the country.

It, therefore, urged its citizens in Nigeria to review their personal security plans.

The statement reads: “The U.S. Mission in Nigeria advises U.S. citizens that large demonstrations by protesters affiliated with the Islamic Movement of Nigeria are expected in the coming days throughout the country, including Abuja and Lagos.

“Protests by this group in the Nigerian capital on July 9 became violent, including exchanges of gunfire between protestors and Nigerian Police, resulting in a couple of deaths. The U.S. Mission advises its citizens to avoid these demonstrations and remain in safe areas during these periods.”

The US added that its citizens should avoid demonstrations and large crowds, be aware of their surroundings, monitor local media for updates and carry proper identification, including a U.S. passport with a current Nigerian visa.
