PoliticsRe: 2019: It’s Insulting For PDP To Attempt Returning To Power – Ex-speaker, Bamisil by midolian(op): 3:29pm On Nov 25, 2018
If elections are to be held in hell, the PDP would have been a good option. There, Atiku would go unopposed..Saraki too will continue as the senate President..

But the earth is different from hell. We reject the PDP and all that it has to offer
Politics2019: It’s Insulting For PDP To Attempt Returning To Power – Ex-speaker, Bamisil by midolian(op): 3:23pm On Nov 25, 2018
A former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has said no amount of propaganda and lies will save the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and its elements from the impending and unavoidable defeat in 2019 general elections.

He said, “PDP is now an abberation and a cankerworm to both political and economy advancement of the country because of its failure to put Nigeria on a right tract but rather made looting and destruction of nation’s economy a priority for 16 years”.

Bamisile, an APC House of representatives candidate for Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, in the 2019 general elections, told journalists at Omuo Ekiti that it was insulting for PDP to wish to return to power.

He said: “It is insulting and embarrassing for a party like PDP and its current elements to come around again and promising to reposition the country it had earlier destroyed through looting and bad leadership offered the people. And to crown it all, PDP is now promoting and canvassing votes for a former Nigerian vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as its presidential Candidate against President Muhamadu Buhari.

“Nigerians could not have forgotten so easily how PDP basterdised the economy before the masses voted them out in 2015 general elections. Also, with the happenings within the rank and file of the party since then, it is crystal clear that nothing has changed for good within PDP but that it has become worse.

“There is no doubt that the coming general elections would also be another game of integrity and performance test, and the question will now be to compare a-four-year term of APC to a-16-year term of PDP in Nigeria.

“President Buhari had in the last three and years laid a solid structure for economic recovery and development with array of infrastructures cut across all the six geo-political zones”.

Bamisile continued: “The difference is clear and axiomatic. Though PDP is coming to town with looted funds to confuse the electorate and create instability in polity, but we will not fold our arms to watch them to bring back destructive tendencies of the past into the current reformation strides of President Buhari.

“Election is not tea party things and that is why we are going for the general elections with all seriousness to guide against the intruders in their desperate attempt to deceive Nigerians through falsehood, prapaganda and cheap publicity stunt.

“Nigerians are now wise and more informed than before, so nobody can deceive or cajole them to fall into the trap of those who are out there to plung the country back to the days of share the money or diverting the nation revenues into personal or individual accounts even at the nose of the President.

“The last outing of the PDP in power remains not only a disaster, but catastrophe, holocaust and ruin that Nigerians will not forget so easily because of its repercusion which everybody has been battling with, up till now.

“Therefore, it is imperrative and exigent for Nigerians to be wary of the antics, other clandentine and cloak-and-dagger moves by the PDP Agents to take them back to a journey of econemy servitude and serfdom through carelessness looting and bad governance.

“The 2019 general elections will be a consolidation to the liberation of all Nigerians from the desert witnessed in 2015 to a fertile land that has been prepared by President Buhari in the last three and half years.”

PoliticsRe: 2019: How Atiku Plans To Beat Buhari In Southwest by midolian(m):
•To kick start campaign in Lagos on November 28
If you like, kick start the campaign in Tinubu's house on same date

•To embark on house-to-house campaign
If you like, embark on room-to-room campaign

•Tackle APC on issues as SW voters ‘cannot be led by the nose’
S/West voters are still breathing fine. It is better than being led by the throat

•To leverage on influence of Obasanjo, Afenifere leaders
Same irrelevant Obasanjo that can't influence the leadership in Ota farm? undecided huh

As useless as "P" in the pronunciation of "psychology" is, we all know it is far more useful than Afenifere.

And in the end, he will know that the beautiful people of the South West aren't stewwpid!

We are not blindfolded in politics and we will never support evil. Supporting PDP is like saving money to buy one's own coffin.

PoliticsSaraki Conducts Senate Proceedings Despite Alleged Lack Of Quorum by midolian(op): 2:22pm On Nov 22, 2018
Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki on Thursday conducted proceedings of the upper legislative chamber despite supposed lack of quorum as required by Order 10 of Senate rules.

Amidst the scanty presence of senators and as the order paper was being observed, Senator Adamu Aliero drew the Senate President’s attention to the development, saying it was an embarrassment that there was no quorum.

Aliero said, “Mr. President, distinguished colleagues, I want to raise Order 10 to draw your attention that I have just signed up attendance register as number 25.

“It means we have not formed a quorum of 38 Senators and it is an embarrassment for us to continue sitting.”

However, the Senate President insisted that they were 39 already, saying that the Clerk of the Senate should check the register.

DAILY POST recalls that the Senate plenary was suspended for a week due to the lack of quorum last week.

The Senate President however attributed the poor attendance of plenary by Senators to oversight functions, adding that the electioneering which has been lifted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, might be responsible as well.

PoliticsI Was Forced To Withdraw Case Against Adeleke At Gun Point – PDP Chieftain by midolian(op): 11:22am On Nov 21, 2018
https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/ademola-adeleke.jpg

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Modakeke, Osun State, Mr. Ojetade Kolawole has accused Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the zonal secretary of the party in the South West, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo of masterminding his forceful withdrawal of an eligibility case against Adeleke at gunpoint on Saturday.

DAILY POST recalls that the trio of Kolawole and two other members of the party, namely: Mr Awosiyan Kingsley, and Awodire Peter, had on October 30, 2018 filled a case at the Osun State high court to challenge the eligibility of the PDP standard bearer, Ademola Adeleke, to participate in the September 22 governorship election, accusing him of providing false information and forged document to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Addressing a press conference in Osogbo on Tuesday, Kolawole alleged that two PDP members, Mr Kaazeem Ogunsola, and Mr Dele Onigbinde, accosted him on his way to work and lured him to a location where he met with Jenyo.

According to him, “At a spot in Parakin, I met with a certain party chieftain known as Rev Bunmi Jenyo. After our exchange of pleasantries, I was asked to enter into a waiting vehicle with him and I did with a mindset that we were going to hold a meeting right there in the vehicle. Contrary to my expectation, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo told his driver to take off without my consent.

“I sought to know where we were going but nobody among the four men in the vehicle with me answered. The other occupants with me are; Reverend Jenyo, Kazeem Ogunsola, the driver and one policeman who was Rev Jenyo’s orderly. As we travelled in the vehicle and without anybody talking, I suspected we were going probably to Osogbo because I was familiar with the route. We arrived Osogbo after about an hour drive, and went straight into an estate with the inscription ‘AMORITE’. It was a very lonely environment with no one in sight.

“Few minutes after our arrival, somebody came with some documents and handed it over to Jenyo which I was asked to sign. I was reluctant to sign because I didn’t know the content. It was then the policeman who had a gun with him told me to sign for the sake of my life and those of my wife and children. He was firm and violent in his directive.

“Thereafter, Rev Jenyo called a number, spoke to the person at the other end saying: ‘Yes Sir, we got him. He is here now, he gave the phone to me and said I should speak. The voice at the other end introduced himself as Senator Ademola Adeleke. I recognized the voice immediately and greeted him. He told me to cooperate with the people, and added that, that was the only way my safety could be guaranteed and he went off the line immediately.

”At that stage, I knew I was in trouble and the only way I could get out was to ‘cooperate’ like they said. So, with my hands shaking due to the sight of the gun, I later signed the document. After signing, I was commended by Reverend Jenyo who then gladly offered me a sum of N5,000 to transport myself back to Modakeke.

“He told me they would come back for me on Monday so that I could complete the rest processes at the court. I knew it was safer and better for me not to ask questions in order to get out of the captivity. I was let off their hook late into the night on that same day. The following morning wisdom prevailed I should report the incident to the police and I did.

“These people have been on my trail ever since then, the police made some arrests and thereafter released the suspects on bail. This has been my horrible experience in the hands of Senator Adeleke and his cohorts, I decided to bring this issue to the court of public opinion and alert security agencies for the purpose of averting any danger towards me and my family”.

While Adeleke was not available for comment as calls put through to him were not answered, Jenyo denied forcing Kolawole to withdraw any document when contacted.

He however admitted that he invited him “based on my leadership position in the party, to correct the error he committed by taking the party’s candidate to court after election”.
