PoliticsBREAKING: Court Okays Suit Seeking Trial Of FFK, Abaribe Over Kanu's Disappearan by midolian(op): 5:56pm On Nov 09, 2018
A Federal High Court in Abuja has given permission for the commencement of a suit seeking to compel the State Security Service (SSS) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to investigate and prosecute former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe and others over their alleged involvement in how Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) escaped from the country.

Justice John Tsoho gave the permission on Friday after listening to applicant’s lawyer, Oghenovo Otemu, who moved a motion ex-parte for leave to commence an action for order of mandamus.

The judge said he was convinced that the applicant, Isaiah Ayugu, could proceed to properly apply for the order sought.

Justice Tsoho ordered Ayugu to file a motion on notice to that effect and serve the respondents before the next date of November 22 this year.

Ayugu, in the ex-parte motion, said he was concerned about the turn of event and the damage the scandal about Kanu’s disappearance and the claim that the Nigerian sate was responsible have had on the nation’s image both at home and abroad.

He listed the Director General of the SSS, the SSS, the Inspector general of Police (IGP) and the NPF as respondents in suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1254/18.

Ayugu argued that by recently revelation that Kanu was in Israel, it was evident that Fani-Kayode, Abaribe, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor and others, who had accused the Nigerian Army of being behind Kanu’s disappearance, knew about the IPOB leader’s escape from Nigeria.

The plaintiff stated, in a supporting affidavit, “that the said Nnamdi Kanu, the so called self-acclaimed leader of IPOB, da group that has long been proscribed and designated a terrorist group, is alive and was seen in Israel from where he called a world press conference and made a live broadcast of his new and renewed agenda for his group.

“In the broadcast, Kanu boasted that he will bring ‘hell to Nigeria.’ It is therefore clear that, whilst Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, Femi Fani-Kayode, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Tochukwu Uchendu, Emmanuel Shallow Ben, Emmanuel Kanu, Uchechi Kanu, leaders of Afaraukwu community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia state, the different civil liberty organisations and media practitioners and so many others too numerous to mention were making several dangerous claims that Nnamdi Kanu has been killed, abducted or being held by the Army, they were aware that he was actually out of the country, by their collective or respective assistance, from where he resurfaced in video clips of him praying in Israel and subsequent video broadcast.

“Because Senator Abaribe took Nnamdi Kanu on bail, the case against Nnamdi Kanu has not seen the light of the day as Nnamdi Kanu has now jumped bail.”

The plaintiff said he intend to apply for an order of mandamus, mandating the respondents “to immediately investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Nnamdi Kanu from Nigeria when, in fact, the Nigerian Army was accused of abducting, arresting, kidnapping, killing and assassinating him.

“An order mandating the respondents to prosecute all persons suspected or indicted of involvement in aiding Nnamdi Kanu to evade justice.”

“An order mandating the respondents to investigate and prosecute Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, Femi Fani-Kayode, Tochukwu Uchendu, Emmanuel Shallow Ben, Emmanuel Kanu, Ifeanyi Ejiofor and all those who worked together to propagate and spread the inciting lies and falsehood that Nnamdi Kanu was abducted, arrested, kidnapped, detained, killed and assassinated by the Nigerian military, when indeed they were well aware of Nnamdi Kanu’s whereabouts, because they played roles in helping Nnamdi Kanu disappear from Nigeria.”

The Senator representing Abia South, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has written the Nigerian High Commissioner to Israel, His Excellency, Enoch Duchi, to confirm that the Leader, of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is in Israel.

Abaribe wrote through his lawyer, Chukwuma-Machukwu Ume (SAN).

The letter dated November 7th, 2018 was through the Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs and entitled “Is a citizen of our country Nnamdi Kanu in Israel?”

“We are the counsel to Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing Abia South Senatorial Zone in the 8th Senate of National Assembly of Nigeria.

“As a pronounced patriot, he recently, against all odds, put live into our constitutional provision of the liberty of an accused as well as eased tension in our polity, by standing surety to Nnamdi Kanu (who is on trial on allegations of treasonable offences in CHARGE No. FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015.)

“In fact, to situate you properly into the salient realities involved in this national tragedy, the Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

“On 28th April 2017, the Hon trial Court granted him bail on medical grounds and Sen. Abaribe was one of the three sureties who executed the bail bond for his release.

“Your Excellency would recall that sometimes in 2017, the Nigerian Army High Command announced publicly that they were going to commence a military operation code-named “OPERATION PYTHON DANCE “(EGWU EKE) 11 in the whole of the South East Zone of Nigeria from 15th of September to 14ch of October 2017.

TheDevilIsALai:
Ask the idiot why NUPENG is going on strike as well.

This strike is geared towards removing fuel subsidy.

They intend to use the increase wage bill and fuel scarcity to force Nigerians to accept an increase in pump prices.

Note that Buhari never actually increased cost of fuel to reflect with the actual landing cost when he increased the pump price from 89 to 145 naira. What he did was just to adjust for the naira devaluation which he caused by maintaining a stupid forex policy that was marred in fraudulent forex racketeering.

With oil prices now surging, they can not afford to continue subsidising the cost of fuel.

The APC Governors are the ones willing to pay the new wage because they are in the know of this scam because it will lead to higher revenue allocations to them.

At the end, Nigerians will be facing at least 500% inflation rate when they perfect their plans.

Think Zimbabwe and Venezuela 10.0 combined.

Buhari is know for his Hegelian Dialectics.

We saw this with his Fulani Herdsmen which he unleashed on the MB and south in advance towards ushering in his grazing colonies.

He has come again with this hyperinflation policy in the guise of minimum wage towards increasing fuel pump prices.

As despotic Islamic communist, Buhari and his APC knows that only by deliberate impoverishment of the populace to the point of barely able to feed and fend for themselves will they be able to continue to perpetuate themselves in power at very minimal cost to them. See Northern Nigeria and how the fulani oligarchs deliberately impoverished their people as a means of controlling them. See also Tinubu's SW, with Osun as a case study, on how deliberate impoverishment of the masses allows Tinubu and his rascal band to still have control over the once sensible yoruba.

Hunger denies a man his dignity. This is what the Jewish Bolshevik mafia did to Russia - through a deliberate policy of orchestrating a man made famine, the Marxist first humbled the Russian populace to submission despite promising them a better deal in a utopic equality society.

Fck you APC communist.

Why Is Atiku Or The PDP Not Saying Anything About The Proposed Minimum Wage?

Is it not interesting to see that the only supposed vibrant opposition party, which is always quick to politicize every unfavorable and unfortunate occurrence under Buhari's administration has decided to keep mum over the proposed minimum wage?

I have been expecting Atiku or/and the party "umbrelling" him to release an official statement as usual, to probably encourage Labour to embark on strike if the Federal Government fails to grant its request OR to use this as an opportunity to tutor the FG on what to do in a bid to make it look clueless..

What makes this funny is even the fact that the "Grow Nigeria" crooner who is known for having 'permanent' solution to every problem couldnt help but to beg the FG and Labour to agree on 'something' in order to avert the impending strike..

Could this be because many of the states controlled by the PDP are unable to pay the N18,000 minimum wage, let alone the proposed N30,000?

[s]When WAEC joins the bandwagon of lying shamelessly, then Nigeria's academic credibility has become a bull- shit. How can WAEC issue an attestation cert to Buhari for an exam he claims he took in 1961 when the exam was administered in 1961 by the university of cambridge England? Even upto 1970, and after, if you don't have Grade 1, 2, or 3, then u completely failed WASC,, and no cert is issued to u. Now WAEC issued a 1961 WASC cert to Buhari without showing whether he passed with Grade 1, 2, or 3 as was the only criterion that time. I declare that attestation cert FAKE. for two reasons. First, the University of Cambridge is the correct body to issue such cert as the body that administered the exam in 1961. Secondly a 1961 WASC or Cambridge school cert without showing Grade 1, 2, or 3, is forgery which is tantamount to criminal offence of examination malpractice. This is liable. And for WAEC to involve itself in this type of ridiculing Nigeria before the whole world is abominable. How many times have I said it that I am no longer proud to be a Nigerian? Look at what WAEC has the courage and face to present to the world about our president, just because Nigeria has no shame. Why should it be the principal of Buhari's secondary school that told the Nigerian army that Buhari was qualified to go for the cadet officer course? Was there no entry requirement then or was the NDA for all and sundry? I want to hear what educated people like Tinubu, Omorocha, Prof Osinbajo and others in APC have to say about this shameful act of WAEC and Buhari's sec. Such. Cert. If they continue to keep mute on such a crucial explosive national issue, then I know that nigeria is truly doomed[/s]

PoliticsBREAKING; Cambridge Speaks On Buhari's WAEC Certificate Saga by midolian(op): 6:13pm On Nov 05, 2018
The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, now known as Cambridge Assessment, has said it can only release the certificate of President Muhammadu Buhari if he so requests.

Cambridge, a United Kingdom-based examination body, which oversaw the conduct of final year secondary school examination in Nigeria and placement into foreign universities in the early days of colonialism and years after, said this on Monday in a statement on its website.

The “Statement in response to Nigerian Presidential election enquiries”, read: “We can only confirm or verify results at the direct request of or with the permission of a candidate.

“This is in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations, Data Protection Act 2018 and section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.”

The organisation also confirmed that according to the Regulations for 1961, African Language papers, including those for Hausa, were set for the West African School Certificate.

In a footnote, Cambridge also said: “Examination results were classed in grades by 1 to 9. 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicates a Failure.

“To pass the School Certificate, candidates had to pass examinations in a variety of groups. It was compulsory to pass English Language, but not Maths, in order to gain the Certificate.

“The number of candidates who sat for the WASC Hausa examination in 1961 was 152.

“Our records show that Hausa was set in the Northern Region in 1961.”

Buhari on Friday received the attestation and confirmation of his 1961 West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination.

The documents were presented to him at State House during a courtesy visit by a delegation of WAEC led by its Registrar, Dr Iyi Uwadiae, accompanied by Olutise Adenipekun, Head, National Office, Abiodun Aduloju, Head Public Affairs, and Olufemi Oke, Zonal Coordinator, Abuja.

…Akwa Ibom, Imo, Ekiti, Katsina, Oyo, not specific …Delta unable to accommodate any salary increment on current FG allocation …Tiny minority working to truncate new workers’ pay and we won’t budge-NLC Soni Daniel, Northern Region Editor Strident efforts by the Federal Government to stave off nationwide strike by the organised labour, appears to have hit the brick wall following a startling revelation by the Nigerian Labour Congress on Monday that no fewer than ten states had offered to pay more than the N24,000 minimum wage suggested by the government.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Bagudu-OBASEKI.png
L-R: Edo State Governor, Mr., Godwin Obaseki; Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Bagudu; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige; and Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, during the meeting between state governors and the federal government over the new minimum wage in Abuja, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018

It will be recalled that the organised labour on Sunday shunned a final rapprochement meeting with the Federal Government to adopt a new minimum wage of N24,000 agreed by the federal government. The NLC had said that it would not attend any fresh negotiation with the government-led tripartite team, having negotiated and adopted N30,000 as the new minimum wage for Nigerian workers. “We will never attend any further meeting for the purpose of negotiating or debating another national minimum wage having agreed on N30,000 last month with the federal government,” Mr. Uche Ekwe, Head of International Relations of the NLC, told Vanguard on Monday. “We have concluded all matters related to new national minimum wage and if the politicians are unwilling to pay that basic minimum but continue to connive and work against the interest of the Nigerian workers they should hold themselves accountable for that and leave out of any meaningless meeting,” Ekwe said. Pressed to explain, if the orgainsed labour could talk of any agreement when the government had not entered into one with them, the labour leader said that the federal and some state governors were actively working to truncate the decision already reached with labour so that they would not pay the new minimum wage. Ekwe, who brandished a document showing what the respective states in the country offered to pay in writing during the tripartite negotiations, denied the claims by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum that they could only pay a paltry N22,500 as minimum wage. The top labour official indicated that no fewer than ten of the 36 states had offered to pay wages much higher than what the federal government was tabling as new wage and warned that there would be no peace in the country until the N30,000 was adopted as the new benchmark. According to the document made available to Vanguard, Plateau State had offered to pay up to N57,000 when labour initially insisted on N67,500 but later came down to between N25,000 and N30,000. The labour document, which has now been released to the public as part of the NLC move to prove that the government was unwilling to pay more than what it is offering, indicated that: Abia offered to pay at least N42,000, Jigawa N32,000, Nasarawa N31,000 while Kano offered to pay N30,000 as minimum wage.

Similarly, Gombe State is said to be willing to pay N28,000, Borno 27,000, Bauchi N25, Adamawa N23,000 , Ondo N22,000, and Taraba, N20,000. The anger of the NLC is that a tiny minority of federal and state officials is actively taking steps to truncate the payment of the new wage, which states with weaker economic fortunes had agreed to pay. However, labour is most disappointed with states that receive high allocations from the federal government and also net high monthly internally generated income but have deliberately refused to offer to pay anything to the exiting N18,000 minimum wage. According to the document, Lagos offered to pay whatever other southern state government would pay while Enugu State also agreed to pay any amount agreed centrally. On the other hand, states like Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, Imo, Bayelsa, Ekiti, Kogi and Katsina have remained silent on the new minimum wage, opting to wait and see what the government would eventually come out with. However, Delta State, which is one of the states that receive the highest revenue from oil and IGR, made it abundantly clear to labout that it could not ‘accommodate an increase for now on the present federal government allocation to the state’. According to some of the Niger Delta states, which receive 13 percent of the federation revenue monthly, they can only talk about increasing workers’ pay if the federal government reduces its own share of national revenue and gives more money to the states. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, openly canvassed that position last week and blamed the federal government and the All Progressives Congress for the ongoing minimum wage palava with workers, saying that it was their headache.
