This is another erroneous teaching. I read only the introduction and the definitions of the key terms and stopped reading.

1. Righteousness in the sight of God is not 'right doings' or moral codes. All have sinned and come short of God's glory.

When you study the Bible, you will discover that after Adam and Eve were ousted out of the Garden of Eden, it was man looking for God. No one taught Cain and Abel to offer sacrifices. They did it to look for God. One passed, the other failed. Lamech s conscience pricked him and passed judgment on himself for unaliving a person. Seth's time marked a time people began to call on God. God, Himself saw the struggles man in locating and understanding and having a relationship with Him. He located Enoch, the seventh from Adam ( not the third from the line of Cain).
He pleased God and became God's favorite. Then Noah built on that and God called him to further Enoch's evangelical works and God established a standard for judging the world and made an agreement with all creatures through him.
Then came Abraham, the fourteenth from Adam. God called him made a family covenant with Abraham. Abraham believed only promises, and it was counted for righteousness. Gen. 15:6
Then chose the line of Jacob.
God gave them commandments. They misbehaved. Phineas killed the people involved and that act earned him righteousness.

Ps.106.30 - Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
Ps.106.31 - And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.

The question now is what is the biblical definition of righteousness?
The belief or the killing?

None. It is the qualification that God gives per time. The pass mark he gives. Moses was given commandments for Israel, he added his own laws, The Laws of Moses. It was never called the Laws of God. Jesus came and refuted some of them: the stonings for adulterous acts, sabbath, tithing taking too far, dressing of religious leaders etc.

Deut.31.26 - Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
Deut.31.27 - For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?



Moses made those Laws in his zeal to make people obey God as it is today. There are some man - made inferential laws and doctrinal practices that churches and organizations employed to control their members.

However, righteousness is dependent only on God per time and dispensation. Before the law, people would be judged by their conscience.

Rom.2.14 - For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom.2.15 - Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another

The issue of righteousness should be seen in the light of the Bible especially skin the letters of Paul who is our own Apostle.

Righteousness of a Christian is a gift from Jesus. The Jews in the time of Jesus did not understand this as many churches and organizations today.

Romans 10:3-10
[3]For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
[4]For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Unrighteousness and wickedness are one and the same thing.

When you accept Jesus as the ransome payer, who paid in your behalf. You are righteous. Righteousness of faith. That is the foundation you build on. Add to your Faith.,.,..'.

There are many who have left the righteousness of faith and still establishing their own.

Righteousness is standing before God with no reason to blush. The entrance has been paid for. Righteousness is more of positional than activities.
