Muslim by religion, humanity at heart. He has gone to the heaven of those that believe in the freedom and life of mankind. |

sonmvayina:I think I have been deceived all my life. I read science, I have not seen an atom or an electron before or how they are combined in chemicals. The told me who did what and what laws, I believed them. They told me about my ancestors, I believe though not knowing my grandfather's name. I believe. Another history that is global talks about Adam, Eve, Socrates, Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte, Fredrick Handel, Joseph Stalin, Emmanuel Kang, Samuel Longfellow, Nostradamus, Gatama Buddha. I believe. I believe, in the same vein, that Jesus existed and still powerfully exists. What then would be my justification not to believe in lies? Ii have always believed in lies including the one you are telling now. |
The husband is even holier than the pastor self. He calmly claimed his wife after battering from the clergy. The man has large heart. Respect

DoWhatThouWilt:I never knew US soldiers were in Burkina Faso. I hope your claims are true about America creating terror groups. Why didn't they create the group with their Christian brothers or Honduras or Buddhists or any other religions? There is a political market called politics, everybody goes there to buy and sell to their gains. What is driving Islamic nation's to kill for recognition is driving America to amass power, dame China, Japan, North Korea. It is like the popular question people ask,' why would a loving God approve of war?' W |
DoWhatThouWilt:Are we in 12th century now. Humanity and human rights have taken me over the barbarity of those times. See what is happening in Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya under Gaddafi, Iraq under Saddam at this time. Wake up brother. Why is there Boko Haram, ISWAP, ISIS, AL QAEDA,? To bring the world under a caliphate. |
He is right, Muslims that are killed by their brothers are sent to have a fore taste of kpekus and wine before their own turn. Dem for don enjoy tire before their killers' arrival. Wetin Christians Dem kill go enjoy? Trump, no unfinished business o, biko . |
For what?🙏 Make dem measure him preek. |
Osgilliat:Well, it depends? Not the whole world is praying to the same God. Peoples in different climes have different gods and different approaches to reach them. I am a Christian, I believe in the Christian God. The development and influence of Christianity is felt today all over the world. Even at that, there was no time everyone place was totally Christian in the Christian 4 domain. The early church fathers and preachers prayed their nations to greatness. Most notable giants in any field that have advanced the quality of life were either devoted Christian or thinkers within Christian folks who challenged dogmas. Prayer is not only a personal affair for individual"s gains but also corporate, and have long time effects. In the developed world, their fathers paid generational price in prayers and devotion. The decadence we see today is as a result of devotional decay and neglect of corporate prayer. Africa is at a crossroads of history and religion. Christianity is preaching advancement, Islam is preaching enslavement. It is unfortunate that these two religions with opposing views are battling for supremacy in northern hemisphere of Africa. Real prayers that can change things positively are not being said to the correct God. |
MaxInDHouse:Islam is not only a religion to serve Allah. It is a religion for land grabbing and rulership. Mohammed was a genius. He carefully blended Arabian intention to rule the world with Jewish religion that had gained ground. He knew that people hardly query anything attached to divinity. That said, I have some saintly Muslim friends, moderate ones. One of them, we lived together as bachelors, got a copy of the Quran when he saw my own copy. I remember him saying, how can a Christian have a copy of the Quran and I as a Muslim don't do you have? We were all graduates living together, four of us. When a Muslim studies the books, Quran, Hadiths, tasfir, and others and really get the understanding, he must get violent. He be be doing taqquiyya or pretending to be peaceful. It is a lie. Islam goes beyond worship, it is a religion for usurpation. You were there nah! Cheers |
Prayer works. I am a testimony to that. Prayer can be said by individuals, a group, a prophet or whoever. Prayer still works. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 1John.1.1 The problem with black congregations today is an advancement of the confusion of two religious cultures coming together. It is not limited to Christianity alone. As a black man, you have been taught by your culture to have one babalawo who takes care of your spiritual and health needs. Everything African is spiritual. You fortify yourself against real and imaginary enemies. You need one Baba to do charms to sell in the market, to give something to pass exams, magical pens and all that. This is why many pastors and ministries are 'returning' to their background as seen in prayer patterns, carrying sacrifices, and cultures into marital issues. Then outstanding people become deities. Almost all so to say idols (orishá) in Yoruba land like Shango, Ogun, Obatala, Oduduwa, Èṣù etc were human beings deified. If it were those days, Awolowo would be a deity. Somewhere in Africa, a masquerade with the head of Mandela was made. It is now very difficult to change that mentality. Big pastors see themselves as small gods, prophets parade themselves as special people, some with strange carriage. About 90% of African Christians don't study the Bible. It is even worse in Islam. In all these, prayer still works, our own confusion cannot discredit the Bible. Pray without creasing to the God that answers without tiring . |
sonmvayina:They did have to live in any of these places. Socrates, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Nebuchadnezzar, all lived before Christ and have mentions in history their legacies and historical records among their people's cannot be forgotten. Jesus Christ also cannot. His philosophy was taken to Europe, Americas, Rome and changed everything.. He became a landmark and threshold of history. Why would people like Paul, Peter, early church Fathers prefer to be matyred for a non- existent person? For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 2 Peter 1:16-18 |
We sonmvayina:This is chatGPT generated view on your question. Yes. Outside the Bible and Jewish historical writings, there are non-Christian, Greco-Roman sources that mention Jesus (or early Christians) within the 1st and early 2nd centuries AD. These are important because they come from hostile or neutral witnesses, not believers. Below are the most credible and commonly cited sources. 1. Tacitus (Roman historian, c. AD 56–120) Work: Annals (Book 15, Chapter 44) Date written: c. AD 116 Tacitus describes Nero blaming Christians for the Great Fire of Rome and explains who they were: “Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilate…” What this confirms: Jesus existed He was executed Execution was under Pontius Pilate During the reign of Tiberius Caesar Tacitus was hostile to Christianity, making this testimony especially strong. 2. Pliny the Younger (Roman governor, c. AD 61–113) Work: Letters (Letter 10.96) Date written: c. AD 112 Pliny writes to Emperor Trajan asking how to deal with Christians: They met on a fixed day before dawn and sang a hymn to Christ as to a god… What this confirms: Christians worshipped Jesus as divine Christianity spread rapidly Worship practices existed very early 3. Suetonius (Roman historian, c. AD 69–122) Work: Lives of the Twelve Caesars Date written: c. AD 120 He writes about Emperor Claudius: “He expelled the Jews from Rome because they were constantly rioting at the instigation of Chrestus.” Most scholars understand “Chrestus” as a reference to Christ, reflecting disputes among Jews about Jesus. What this confirms: Early conflicts about Christ Jesus was known enough to cause unrest in Rome 4. Lucian of Samosata (Greek satirist, c. AD 125–180) Work: The Passing of Peregrinus Lucian mocks Christians and writes: They worship a man to this day—the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account… What this confirms: Jesus was crucified He was a religious leader Christians worshipped Him Lucian was openly mocking Christianity, not supporting it. 5. Mara bar-Serapion (Syrian philosopher, late 1st or early 2nd century) Work: Letter to his son (in Syriac) He refers to: “The wise king of the Jews, whom the Jews executed…” What this confirms: Jesus was considered wise He was executed His influence continued after death Important Clarification You asked outside the Bible and Jewish history, so sources like: Josephus Talmudic writings are excluded here, even though they do mention Jesus. Scholarly Consensus Virtually all serious historians (Christian, Jewish, secular, atheist) agree on these minimal facts: Jesus of Nazareth existed He was a Jewish teacher He was crucified under Pontius Pilate His followers worshipped Him shortly after His death Christianity spread rapidly despite persecution This is why the idea that “Jesus never existed” is considered fringe and unscholarly. |

There is general misuse and mispresentation of prophecy among black folks. In every African setting, we grew up to know a soothsayer, fortune teller, marabout everywhere. In every African setting, this reality predated foreign religions in our midst. Even now, there is still confusion amongst the practitioners of the Abrahamic faiths in Africa. When the religion brought to us cannot match our spirituality, people resort to admixtures of the imported and the natives. Pastors, alfas go back home to bring from the wealth of spirituality to establish the Newfounded faith. This was the basis of the spiritual churches. It is just a practice of seeing a dibia, babalawo or any name they are called among individual natives. The same is brought into Pentecostalism, the latest emergent form of Christianity. We have not totally divorced from our roots. That being said, prophecy is merely for information. Information now has grades. Information on what has happened, what will surely happen, and what may or may not happen depending on conditions. When certain prophecies are released, they can be absolute decisions from God that are definitely determined to happen. Others may be changeable by prayers,. Hezekiah's case is an example. Jesus talked about the suffering of the latter days and out a proviso , ' pray that the days are cut short....' During the election of Tinubu, many prophecies were flying, I was telling people that none of these people's prophecies would come to pass. My reason, we all have access to God and can ask Him to change His mind. In fact, prophecy in this situation is a call for prayers and motivation to appeal to God. Hezekiah did against Isaiah who predicted accurately, the birth of Jesus Christ. The prophecy was changed. In the same vein, prayer still changes the disposition of God to man today. D Can we now say no man can hear from God. Absolutely no. As a youth, I almost scattered a church by prophecies. I was fasting for more than half of the year and I had inspirations. I was just a zealous young person who enjoyed hearing and seeing. These days, I am wiser, I don't say things or like to code like Pastor Adeboye. Primate Olabayo used to be very accurate those days. I mean thirty years ago and beyond, so was T.B. Joshua, Tibetan Marcus. I don't follow them these days. The mispresentation and misuse has not invalidated prophecies. I am more concerned about Adeboye. I was in the camp when he prophesied that nobody would be successful, planning a coup against Abacha. I remember him telling is to warn our families in the military that year. Then the phantom coup happened. The prophecy was direct. These days, he codes his prophecies like Nostradamus Mitchell. |
