Thanks for the detailed explanation, my question was originally regarding the fixed income fund and not equity fund. Just wanted to know the difference between fixed income fund and regular MMF. Thankks
EquityM: The goal of equity is to grow; if you can't see your money fluctuating up and down, then equity might not be your thing. A Naija girl on this forum living in the US asked this question, and now she started with 3M; despite small dips, her capital is getting back on track. Equity is like locking your money up in a fixed deposit, leaving it there, and seeing wonders. No matter what happens, you are unlikely to lose your money. Accumulating wealth is not like a Ponzi scheme; there are no corners to success. MMF gives you steady income while others do the dirty work for you. I made 45k today from equity today, tomorrow I might lose 20k from it or I might even make 120k; only God knows. On a final note, if you are not patient, kindly stick to MMF.
Thanks @welzyj2 and @EquityM but I am now confused as to if my capital will never go lower like it can happen in Equity fund and not in Money Market Funds
Hello bro, Just curious..with this fixed income fund, is Capital preserved just like the regular MMF? or there are chances your initial amount is not complete depending on how market goes?
EquityM: Use the mobile web; the app does not display all the rates accurately. The price is the current rate.
Sorry boss, I am lost. Are you talking about Equity fund or something else? Do you mind sharing a screenshot and how you get to see tomorrow's rate already.
EquityM: The rate is displayed daily in the app. For example, today's rate is 1.5078, and the next day rate is 1.8017; you should choose 1.8017, as it is higher. Always choose a higher rate for redemption.
EquityM: 90 days means your money will be locked up. However, if you withdraw, they will deduct out of your interest. Moreover, this is not like MMF; if you want to withdraw, make sure that rate is higher on that day. If you withdraw at a lower rate, you will lose money.
This is very important, how do I make sure that the rate for a particular day is high? Biko, give us your tips and tricks boss

Do you advice one to start Fixed income trading also at the end of the month only? or this is best for top ups only?
EquityM: Started last year in December with 5k. I topped up because it was doing well. If you subscribe to it, top up at the end of the month or once a month so as not to get a negative return. If you look at the photo, the 8k minus came the next day after I did the top-up due to the NAV price.
Hello, I think its now 500m self. See the CS Alpha app screenshot
EquityM: CardinalStone has another equity, which is 18 YTD at the moment; they told me I need 100m to enter. The normal equity we trade is at 7YTD. I wonder why the latter is on 7YTD when they both started.
Thanks man. I have created an account and uploaded KYC docs. Will follow up with them via email
EquityM: CardinalStone replied to my email and requested that all inquiries be forwarded to clientservice@cardinalstone.com Kindly make the subject head as Subscriber from Nairaland.

Ashirioluwa: Most major banks in Nigeria have reactivated their bank cards to enable customers to use them for foreign transactions.
Check with your bank or apply for a bank card that you can use to make foreign transactions.
Test was aimed at knowing how many home appliances and their watts rating that the inverter can carry before tripping off on overload protection.
Test was done using: - 3000w 12v pure sinewave inverter - 12.8v 100ah Powmr Lithium (LiFePO4) battery - 12v 20a Lithium charger - KL110F 100A battery monitor with bluetooth function to monitor watts and current pull of the appliances
Appliances tested and sequence of testing include: Sequence 1: Maxi 10kg washing machine (400w) + Haier Thermocool 100L deep freezer (80w) + LG Smart Compressor Refrigerator (85w) + Playstation 3 (100w) + Hisense 55" smart TV (130w) + Panasonic toasting machine (760w). Total appliance pull was between 1,200w - 1400w, and inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on as the load got close to 1400w
Sequence 2: Maxi 10kg washing machine (400w) + Haier Thermocool 100L deep freezer (80w) + LG Smart Compressor Refrigerator (85w) + Royal blender (400w). Total appliance pull was between 550w - 680w. Inverter didnt trip off and overload light didn't come on
Sequence 3: Binatone pressing iron (1200w). Appliance pull was 1,394w. Inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on
Sequence 4: Dual-face inductive cooker. Small face (1410w). Inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on. Big face (1596w). Inverter tripped off on overload
