There is no such thing as tourist visa..if you want to come to Canada as a tourist..you still have to apply for a visitor visa

But is there really any such thing as a conference visa? Because I know you apply for a visitor visa to attend a conference. I have never seen any page on ircc website that talks about conference visa in particular

I believe it would be better for her to keep the cash in her bank account and then give you her bank statement and a letter of support to demonstrate the kind of financial assistance she is prepared to provide you with if your visa application is granted.
I totally agree with you however, my proposed approach is she tops up my stanbic investment directly from her account. The 5m find won't be hitting my regular bank account, and then I plan to just get a reference letter from stanbic showing when my investment account was opened with current balance, this I would submit with my payslips and statements of my 2 accounts gtb and zenith where my salaries have been paid till date.
I hope this approach works, I'm open to comments and contributions from everyone

If the application hasn't been submitted...I would simply delete that application and start a new one.

SweetJJ: It depends sha. At the point of application, I think a dummy ticket will do. My mom used a dummy ticket and we didn't have any issues. I also know a lot of people that used a flight itinerary and no issues. But not at the point of flying.

For her Her statement of account, All of our birth certificate, Her employment letter, Her promotion letter Her pay stub, Pictures of her and my kids, her and my other siblings, her and her aged mother, Her marriage certificate, Statement of purpose, Her vehicle Documents Leave approval letter, A flight itinerary (dummy ticket)
Her visa was approved in 9 working days from biometrics, lol.

puffmama: They require at least 4 months .( I saw that when I wanted to apply last week ). I would suggest you use your new salary account so that it shows you have a current job and a regular incomes comes into it. Move all your funds into the salary acct and begin to count afresh for 4 months to avoid any lump sump . However if you feel you can't wait, you must have a justifiable reasons for the lump sum and explain in your LOE.

My documents are enormous and I have used compressed them to the lowest point, but they are still more than 2mb. I see a part where they asked for employment letter, can I attach some of my documents there?

Please do you mind sharing how you were about to package the documents considering the 2mb file size limit on the new ircc portal? my statement of account for 6 months is already 27 pages long and I still have other documents to include as financial documents.
Abercrome: My bank reference letter (POF) was also from Stanbic Asset Mgt. I didn’t put statement with my own but it doesn’t hurt to include it. In my case, what I did was to include an LOE showing a table of sources of funds with supporting attachments.
So my point is go ahead and use Stanbic AM but include an LOE stating that the financial institution doesn’t show average balance on their reference letter and so you’ve attached your statement of deposit as an addendum to aid the officer’s assessment.

I plan to get jinko 550w panel(s) with a 60A MPPT CC. My inverter is 12v 3000w off grid.
My concern is majorly if the 60A charger can efficiently charge 2 550w panels or I just stick to one.

First what are the chances for me that don't have any travel experience? Also, I want to apply for visit visa and my fiancé a PR over there would be writing a letter of invitation. However I want to know if it makes any difference in application processing times when she does the application for me and fills the representative form vs when I get all the docs and submit the application here in Nigeria myself.
Follow the process as highlighted on the IRCC portal. I will assume they are coming purposely to visit you, so their visa application will be under the category of a family visit. And as you are a temporary resident in Canada, you will need to present the following documents:
Letter of invitation - A letter written by you to your parents. Details of expected info are below: Travel History - A clear copy of 1 or more of the following: Your parent's previous passports and/or visas (used within the last 10 years to travel outside Nigeria), Entry and exit stamps, Study and/or work permits that indicate their duration outside Nigeria, Expired or Valid visas. Itinerary - Copies of any of the following: flight details and hotel reservations - Very Important. Account statement of your parents - I want to believe that your dad will be the main applicant and mum will be his spouse, Bank name and contact of his account (Just give MBS for this), Proof it is their account - Their name and address on the statement show that the account is theirs, Account details - At least 6 months of account details, including balances, helps IRCC understand their financial situation. Employer information - If dad and/or mum still working, A letter from his/her employer can confirm that they have a stable job and will return to it. It can also show that his/her employer supports his/her visit to Canada. The letter should be printed on his/her employer’s official letterhead. A clear color copy of his & her valid passport or travel document that he/she'll use to travel to Canada. A completed IMM 5476- Use of a representative (IMM 5476)form - I believe you will be the one that will apply on behalf of the applicant. You need to complete this form. A completed IMM 5645 form - This is where you will specify that his spouse, your mum will be accompanying him.
You need to scan all the pages of the passports both current and expired and join them together to attach them to the section. Also, please, let them show the financial capacity to take care of their trip themselves even if you are the one planning to house them. Tie to the home country is key, show more interest on the letter for them to come back home to. There is a section for additional document, this is where the letter of explanation will come in and if there are property documents/ business occupying their attention back home, you want to put them there together. Make sure the main applicant is any one of them that has a higher range in terms of finance/travel experience. Then your mum will be his accompanying spouse. Your letter of explanation should also be detailed and clear with purpose of visit detailed.
Alternatively is for them to visit as a tourist, on this, you do not need to issue any letter of invitation. Here, travel history, itinerary, account statement, passport, Filled use of a representative (IMM 5476) form, Authority to release personal information to a designated individual (IMM 5475) form and completed Family information (IMM 5645) will suffice.

Was her application for a normal visit or some sort of invitation or conference involved?
Newbiein2016: For hotels, I like booking.com (you can filter to see only hotels with free cancellation). You can also use hotels.com, expedia.
For flights, I use wakanow.com (note that they cancel unpaid bookings usually after 48hrs but the goal for me is to only show the flight itinerary, so it works for me). Alternatively, you can try any of the airlines' websites - I know Qatar, AF/KLM have the book on hold options.
PS: Never pay for confirmed tickets or hotels without a visa. My advise above is only to allow you submit travel itinerary.

Anything that can prove your ties needs to be added e.g. I recall a friend who was the chair of their 'ajo' meeting of 35 persons included a signed statement regarding their end of year party to drive home her own ties. She also had the church send a stamped letter as part of some festive events she was leading (and as a bona-fide and active church member). I thought it was funny but after thinking it through, it made sense.
Point being, Canada is quite finicky with tourist visas and they'll always err on the side of caution if they have any concern, whatever you think will help, include it.
Re: flight and hotel, I always include those in visa applications as I don’t see anything wrong here. I go for book on hold and/or options with free cancellation. Never pay for any of these without a confirmed visa.
