I am a DIY Solar user to be and I have bought the following Items for my setup.

1) 2 550W Jinko Solar Panels (TechLand Solar)
2) 12v 3000w EASun Inverter From a fellow Nairalander
3) 12v 200A Battery Full River From Idyllic Tech.
4) 120A MPPT Charge Controller From Gennex Technologies


Now, I need advise on every other thing I need to get to have my setup up and running (Cables, Change Over, other accessories etc. ).

I would appreciate every tip and learnings from you all. Thanks

I got canadian visit visa last year. I did my biometrics before getting the visa. I was told biometrics lasts for 10 years. Now i applied for PR, and IRCC are asking me to submit biometrics again. Why is that one not valid anymore?

Hi...same expeerience, I did biometrics for TRV in Dec 2023, now I got a BIL for my PR application yesterday, the challenge now is...vfs canada site seems not to be working well as I have been getting this error on several browsers, devices and laptops.

Please are you able to book another biometric appointment?

I can see Moreover, an applicant must have a minimum gross yearly income of €32,400.

As long as you have a remote job, that's mostly the criteria or if you are a freelancer

trust we are all doing well.

Please i need advise from experienced travellers around combining tickets, and will share a background story of my application;

1) I have an ongoing PR Spousal sponsorship application...got AOR Feb 9th 2024.
2) I had applied for TRV since November 2023, did Biometrics dec1st 2023 ...this application was submitted with invitation letter from my wife who is a canadian PR, and reason for the visit is to travel for 2 weeks to celebrate her birthday with her and return back to Naija.
However, I am considering booking 2 different tickets;
One for Lagos to Ottawa trip (non-refundable) and another refundable (Ottawa to Lagos) which I plan to cancel as I don't plan to return since my PR application must have gone far by then, and coupled with the Policy that allows Spousal PR applicants to come in with TRV for Family reunification that was announced last year.

Another thing is...I want to book these tickets now before the travel date is near and fares would be much expensive.

My question now is:

1) Would it be okay to book the 2 tickets separately and cancel the return leg when I have settled in over there?
2) How can I filter for only refundable tickets when on the airline's website?

I think November should be between end of February and end of March. I submitted 13th of November.

Omo...It is well...I submitted nov 26th and did biometrics Dec 1st...I think the processing time starts counting from date of biometrics capture and not when the TRV application was submitted

The last update was on Jan 26 - it has left the IRCC Accra Office.


Timeline:
Application submitted June 09
AOR received on August 11
Biometrics requested August 17 (spouse already had biometrics from visitor visa - we were asked to pay again even though no recapture was done)
Eligibility status updated to in-progress on Dec 7
Medical request Dec 12|status updated to in-progress - medical done on Dec 19 and status updated to completed Dec 21.
Eligibility and Background check completed on Dec 28
Final Decision Dec 29
The passport was submitted at VFS Abuja on Jan 2.
Counterfoil update in GC key portal Jan 19.

Congrats, please I have also done biometrics for TRV and had to pay again for biometrics when I submitted my PR application.

I just want to confirm if you didn't pay for the biometrics initially while paying and submitting the pr application.

First things first....no such thing as tourist visa.

What you are referring to as tourist visa is actually a visitor visa. Then, note that a visitor visa is a TRV..temporary resident visa.the next level is a PR..permanent resident visa

Getting Powmr has been scarce, I am considering Growatt over Felicity as Felicity is now way expensive compared to the Price of Growatt.

I would appreciate tips from any one who has an idea of Growatt brands.

BVL & PPR: December 19th 2023
Passport submitted: December 21st 2023
Pick-up stamped passport: December 28th 2023.
Visa type: Visit.

I may be biased, but I'll say it is PowMr. This is because I have a friend that was having so many issues with his Felicity charge controller, but when he changed to PowMr, the problem disappeared.

Please which do you think is better Powmr or Felicity MPPT Charge controllers?

Sponsor and invite are 2 different things

You can invite anybody...but can't sponsor just anybody

You can never submit ur application on oçt 12 and get date for biometric attendance on oçt 18, that is pure lie.... don't take us for a fool here,we are bot a kid....

It is very possible, It surprises me when people like you conclude as though you are the one in charge of these processes.

See my application summary below: I submitted my VV application November 26th and got Biometrics request same day, and booked biometrics for dec 1st.

From oshodi...take a bus going to egbeda, drop at sobo bus stop and cross tp the other side, the alimosho passport office is just behind the brt busstop on the left hand side when you drop

Okay...I registered and paid online on Saturday Nov 11th afternoon and yesterday morning my application had moved past secretariat routing. However the sms I got yesterday morning says capture expiry date is November 12th which is a day before.

I want to know if there is really a timeline one must appear for the biometric capture after getting the sms and what documents to go with for the capturing

I paid online, the actual 30k. But capturing officer(a woman) was hesitant to capture me. She said I'll need to pay. She actually delayed me (around 10 minutes) because I said I called their official customer care. Others there were giving her 3k, 5k, actually, they'll expect you to give them a price first.

Inshort, she didn't collect anything from me. And I got my certificate around 5/6pm same day.

Do a mail to secretariat@possap.gov.ng and tell them to help you confirm your invoice and move your file. Make sure your email body contains your invoice number and file number.

Okay boss, I just made payment online myself and my application is pending at Secretariat Routing stage.

Please how long did it take for them to process yours to the biometric capture stage?

It's called Police Clearance Certificate

Go to possap.gov.ng, you need to register. It costs 30k, which you'll pay on the portal. You'll most likely get your certificate the same day you do biometrics.

Also, officers you'll meet there may ask you to pay something ooo

Do you advise one to do it online himself or go through an officer? I am asking because I know how the officers in passport office delay people who do the registration online themselves..You know this is Lagos and people can be wicked and selfish.
