Obnoxious2001: I no buy charger for charging from grid ooh, I felt the solar charging will be sufficient already |

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 4:59pm On Mar 09 |
bassdow: Okay, thanks for the feedback..much appreciated. No financial capacity for extra panel or battery for now..my plan for the future is to upgrade to 2 new batteries after using this one till it needs replacement or I can afford to buy 2 new batteries, whichever comes first. Cheers! |

bassdow: I am not suggesting manual monitoring that's why I got a MPPT CC. Or am I missing something? |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 4:40pm On Mar 09 |
bassdow: i haven't connected anything yet, the set up is still in design phase. Very much open to advise from experts here. Thanks |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 4:25pm On Mar 09 |
Drgreatone: Okay, thanks for these tips.....So once I have 2 batteries and 24v inverter, what else do I need to consider getting to have my set up running? |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 3:54pm On Mar 09 |
dacool1: Thank you, but I thought thats the work of using a MPPT CC that would regulate charge going into the battery. Also, these loads mentioned would not always be powered on the inverter, It is planned to be a backup power system for few hours when no power from the mains |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 3:46pm On Mar 09 |
Drgreatone: oh wow, thanks for your genuine feedback. Can you please advise me on how best to utilise what I currently have ? i mean what I need to bare in mind to work with the components purchased already? as I dont have budget for a new inverter or additional battery now. Thank you |

Obnoxious2001: Lol....please can you give me a list of what I still need to get? Let me use that to have an idea of how much I would have to spend |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 1:53pm On Mar 09 |

Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mikeayus(m): 1:49pm On Mar 09 |
dacool1: Thanks for this input. Just to put in some more context, I would not be fully utilizing the inverter load capacity as I would be using just 2 ceiling fans, a 30' TV and 2 laptops per time. Also, I believe the MPPT CC LED Charging indicator would always show the voltage on my battery while charging and this can help monitor and avoid over charging. Doubling the Battery bank is a plan in view as well. Cheerss |

Hello Everyone, trust we are all doing well. Please i need advise from experienced travellers around combining tickets, and will share a background story of my application; 1) I have an ongoing PR Spousal sponsorship application...got AOR Feb 9th 2024. 2) I had applied for TRV since November 2023, did Biometrics dec1st 2023 ...this application was submitted with invitation letter from my wife who is a canadian PR, and reason for the visit is to travel for 2 weeks to celebrate her birthday with her and return back to Naija. However, I am considering booking 2 different tickets; One for Lagos to Ottawa trip (non-refundable) and another refundable (Ottawa to Lagos) which I plan to cancel as I don't plan to return since my PR application must have gone far by then, and coupled with the Policy that allows Spousal PR applicants to come in with TRV for Family reunification that was announced last year. Another thing is...I want to book these tickets now before the travel date is near and fares would be much expensive. My question now is: 1) Would it be okay to book the 2 tickets separately and cancel the return leg when I have settled in over there? 2) How can I filter for only refundable tickets when on the airline's website? Look forward to your usual responses everyone. Thanks |

maziemeka2024: Omo...It is well...I submitted nov 26th and did biometrics Dec 1st...I think the processing time starts counting from date of biometrics capture and not when the TRV application was submitted |

Educhopper: First things first....no such thing as tourist visa. What you are referring to as tourist visa is actually a visitor visa. Then, note that a visitor visa is a TRV..temporary resident visa.the next level is a PR..permanent resident visa I hope this helps 2 Likes |
