Politics / Re: Did You Know? Fulani Herdsmen Kill More Than Boko Haram - Mr Ben Bruce by MikelEleta(m): 12:49pm On Sep 08, 2015
This is TOTALLY correct nd I stand 100% with Ben Bruce on dx one. Dx pple ve caused a lot of damage evrywere dy go. Dy destroy nd maim nd run into d bush without meetin any formidable resistance. Jos has witnessed a lot of their destructions. Even d south is not spared. D one dt pains me most is dt MOST nd MAJORITY of the robbery dt tks place on d highway now is bin committed by dx same pple. Ve run into dem twice on d road nd yu easily notice dem thru their poor English n accent nd also their looks wid their cutlass nd hunting guns YET we ve a Fulani man @ d top of affairs in dx country who isn't doin anyfin. Buhari is the life patron of Miyetti Allah which is the umbrella body of all Fulani cattle rearers nd I believe he can call his pple to order buh alas he has not. He used it as a pt to gain electoral victory nd nw he can't stop dem again. I weep for families who ve lost loved ones to dx rampaging animals dt call themselves cattle rearers. Jst as was predicted ind holy books their days re NUMBERED.

Celebrities / O.B.O Himself Davido Travels To Osun To Inspect His Billionaire Fathers Universi by MikelEleta(m): 12:00am On Sep 08, 2015
In case you didn’t know why he’s called – ‘Omo Baba Olowo’, well now you do.

The award winning singer paid a visit to the uncompleted university his father is building in Ede, Osun state.

The name of the university is Adeleke University and it is still under construction.

Davido and his brother Adewale Adeleke(who is the Chairman of the HKN record label) visited the university and noticed the progress going on in the site.

Adewale Adeleke wrote on the impact the University has had on the community so far: –

“Came to my Village this weekend and witnessed something amazing! My Dad has been working on his school for sometime now and it’s coming along Great! The fact that he’s providing our Home town with so Many jobs and education opportunities just shows how Great a man he is. Always give back! It’s such an important thing to remember now matter how much or how little you have we need to remember to give back! #OsunState #AdelekeUnversity #PacificEnergy #hkngang” wrote the HKN Chairman.

In June Davido graduated from Babcock University from the Music department funded by his father Adedeji Adeleke.

Politics / JOE IGBOKWE BLAST: Woe Betides Anybody Who Wants To Destroy Tinubu's Image Built by MikelEleta(m): 11:42pm On Sep 07, 2015

All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos chapter, has condemned what it called “calculated attempt” by some sponsors to bring its National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu down to their “miserable level” through dubious allegations.

APC Lagos chapter Publicity Secretary, Mr. Joe Igbokwe made the remarks Monday, while reacting to a publication in one of the national dailies where the writer urged President Buhari to “beware of Tinubu because he is a moral burden and a dent on his image”.

According to the party, “Our attention has been drawn to an article published on 2nd September 2015 written by one Dele Akin Rahman encouraged by his sponsors.

“Lagos APC condemns in strongest terms this calculated attempt to bring Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu down to their miserable level and to judge the consummate leader of men by their horrible and dubious standards.

“Before the 2015 Presidential elections our well-respected National leader Tinubu and President Buhari were subjected to vicious attacks and debilitating assaults just to bring them down but they failed woefully. President Buhari and Asiwaju BAT ran away with resounding and unprecedented victory on March 28 2015”

“Ever since then, Dele Rahman and his sponsors have been angry, frustrated, confused, humiliated, humbled, afraid and disgraced. Politically they have been decimated and relegated to the background, economically their business of stealing government money in billions has been checkmated and blocked and socially they have been ostracized and rejected by Nigerians”

“These fraudsters and morally bankrupt nonentities know that it is impossible for them to get to Asiwaju BAT’s intimidating, illustrious and glorious personality, so they resort to blackmail and character assassination to bring the sage, the colossus and the leader of men to the miserable level”

“It is obvious that these dying forces of evil are on a futile effort to parry their 16years of wreckage and who else to bear the brunt but a Tinubu who has come to personify a living nightmare to the dying PDP”

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains a well-respected political figure in Nigeria, Africa and the world today and woe betide anybody who thinks in his wildest imagination that a strong and powerful image built for nearly 50years can be destroyed by the antics of a foolish constituency and men without honour

Politics / Pdp Plans Massive Recruitment Of Youths, Offers Election Tickets by MikelEleta(m): 11:53pm On Sep 06, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said Saturday that it would review its membership policy to allow more youth join the party.

The move would enhance the participation of youth in political activities, and would see more young Nigerians clinch tickets for senior political positions across the country, the party said.

A committee named by the PDP National Directorate of Youth Affairs is to examine the level of youth involvement in the party’s administration, and recommend ways of supporting more youth to aspire as the party’s candidates in future elections, a spokesperson said.

Members of the Youth Restructuring Committee are Tony Nwolu, Ibrahim Aboki, Adebayo Abayomi, Franklyn Umar, Babangida Maina, Ini Emabong, and Zulaihat Abdullahi, said a statement signed by the party’s national youth leader, Abdullahi Maibasira.

Other members are Malik Henry Obodozie-Awuzie, Ohimai Amaize, Abdulrahaman Muawuyya, Yusuf Kanoma, Inusa Mohammed, Chidiebere Egwu and Oche Otorkpa.

The committee would be inaugurated by the PDP acting national chairman, Uche Secondus, on Tuesday at the party’s national secretariat, Abuja, the statement added.

The former Nigeria’s ruling party was defeated in March by the All Progressives Congress — the first time it lost power in its 17-year history.

The PDP said its new committee would examine “the institutional, operational and administrative framework that governs and guides youth activities in the party, as well as recommending amendments necessary to improve and expand youth inclusion in party processes”.

It would also review the involvement strategy of youth groups, recommend best practice and avenues for youth group engagement, in addition to contemporary methods for youth recruitment, mobilisation and retention in the party.

“The party appreciates the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI) in pledging technical and secretarial assistance for the committee, which has three weeks to submit its report,” the party said. SOURCE:http://www.nigerianeye.com/2015/09/pdp-plans-mass-recruitment-of-youth.html
