I booked under category B but am yet to get AD

Thegamingorca:
Any summer Ad dates for category B yet?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 9:17am On Nov 15, 2019
Firstly, you have a good grade which is sufficient to get an admission in German schools

Secondly, you have other professional certificate that can help boost your chances of getting admission

Also you can search on Daad to see schools that accept English proficiency letter from University, because there are schools that accept the letter and you don't need to write any language exams.

From all you've said, the only thing I think you should be concerned about is if the school you graduated from is recognized by the German schools.

I will suggest you visit the Daad site and start your search for schools that offers you interested course of study and also accept English proficiency letter from University.

sirtonyobi:
Good morning to you all.
I want to appreciate all that have been helping out in this forum. It's really not easy. I pray God always meet you even before your point of needs.

Please I am ready to start my application and I need a little advice from anyone that can help.

1. I graduated with 3.91 on a 5 point scale. Please I want to know the German equivalent of this and what's my chances of admission?

2. I did my Bsc Accounting in a private school that is not too popular(Tansian University Umunya in Anambra) but fully accredited by Nuc and my course professional body... Institute of Chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Please does the school you graduated from a factor to decide your admission fate?

3. I have HND and ACA(ICAN) in addition to my Bsc. Do I apply with all this or just use my Bsc to avoid too much question or complications? Or do they boost my chances?

4. Last but not least... Am trying to cut cost by avoiding writing English test. How effective is English proficiency letter from my school in getting admission? Or does this significantly reduce my chances?

Please I will also appreciate any other information like school or courses that accounting can run for masters because I noticed from my research on DAAD that Germany don't usually run accounting as a program. It is usually hidden inside other programs.

God bless us all.

You need to cancel the booking and rebook another appointment, this is according to the latest directive on the German embassy booking platform. You can visit the booking platform to read the directive yourself.

jimnozi:
Please someone should help me out. I have booked since sept 15 2019 and i already have admission which i am expected to resume Feb 17 but up till now have not seen date from the embassy. Please help what should i do?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 12:10pm On Nov 13, 2019
No it was be stated but you and I know you did the booking on their booking platform so expect them to have the information you filled when you were booking the appointment. Below is the content of the mail you will get from the embassy when you book an appointment

"Your registration to apply for a long term visa (more than 90 days) for students of the category B has been successful"

"With a wrongly booked visa category you will not get access to the visa section"

annie17:
Please I wanna ask , when booking for ad cat b,as shown in this image,if I select what I am applying for like say bachelor's will it be stated on the AD and will the VO know what I book for?

I am working on schools for masters,so I don't really know schools for undergraduate studies. You can go to www.daad.de. You will see more than enough schools there trust me.

You need to cancel and rebook because it has been stated on the embassy booking platform for category B that all booking before 1st of October,2019 will be deleted and new booking will be will commence from 1st of October,2019.
You can go to the embassy booking platform for category B to read this.

shinene2020:
Hi guys, please I need your advice. Applied for an interview date since July under category B and still waiting. Should I cancel and book another appointment or wait?

Really appreciate this thread.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 10:23am On Nov 13, 2019
I can see this is for category B, please when did you book this appointment?

Slip:
It seems you have issue understanding things now! How is amikable97 point is valid? I posted here sometime ago that i personally booked for someone and the person got AD, but this was done without proof of BA!

You can find the screen shot of the AD below where the embassy reiterated that either BA or SL must be provided alongside other documents for student visa application on that AD...I really don't know what you want to get if embassy mandated BA to get AD.... And if you think you want that then go to the embassy and enforce it yourself...

I don't know we humans get problem.. Am sure if na naija person dey in charge na so them go say BA to get AD....You think getting AD is by your money in BA.. Them no send una....
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 10:18am On Nov 13, 2019
This was the same thing I heard applicants under category A get AD within 48hrs of booking. The delay is majorly experienced by applicants under category B.

GabeLegendary:
I know atleast 2 person who booked last week for category A and got AD within 48 hours. They didnt have to block..
This whole delay at the moment is on Category B which unfortunately the bulk of us fall into with the new rule...
Right now all we can do is be patient and wait.

I was told to cancel the booking I did in September and rebook another appointment.

suxex4ever:
Thanks!! Can you help me out with a school that accept the letter for undergraduate studies
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 7:25pm On Nov 12, 2019
It depends on the requirements of the school you are applying for. If you don't do IELTS or TOEFL,It means you will have to search for a school that accept English proficiency letter.

suxex4ever:
Please, is it possible to avoid IELTS or TOEFL exam for undergraduate studies at Germany? Am thinking of going for English proficiency letter from school
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 7:20pm On Nov 12, 2019
I don't think that's what the 2 to 3 months means. When you book an appointment, this is the mail you will get.

"Approximately 2 to 3 months in advance of your appointment you will receive a e-mail with the exact date of your appointment"

Take note of "in advance of your appointment" not in advance of your booking

Thegamingorca:
Pls don't forget that your application for àD can take anything from 2 - 3months to be processed fully as stated by the embassy.

So all fear and anxiety should be dispelled. Hopefully with time they will reduce it to weeks
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 7:07pm On Nov 12, 2019
1st of March,2020

Modesta24:
What start date did you use bro?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:53pm On Nov 12, 2019
I cancelled my old booking last night and I booked another immediately without any stress.

Mikeval001:
It could be that the cancellation of your previous booking was t successful. I guess the system is still seeing your passport number and name on their database.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:51pm On Nov 12, 2019
If you know you booked you appointment before 1sr of October,2019, please for your own good cancel the appointment and rebook.
This is what I read in the embassy booking platform yesterday.... read below

"During the long waiting period for B-list appointments, many students change their plans and do not show up at their assigned appointments. Therefore we will reset the B-list registrations at the end of September and at the end of March before the beginning of the new semester and delete all at that time existing B-list entries. New registrations will be possible again from the beginning of October / April"

So the earlier the better....
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:43pm On Nov 12, 2019
I have fully funded my block account but I don't think there is a way the embassy can know that until I go for my interview and present the documents that will proof that I truly have funded a block account.

Thegamingorca:
Embassy dey pick call? Oboy then try for you oh

Guy call dem with another number ask of why the paucity for AD or if nah true say nah strictly blocked account things before getting AD?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:39pm On Nov 12, 2019
This is what the embassy said and you can check it on their booking platform.

"From November 1st, 2019 the General Consulate will only accept applications with fully funded blocked accounts OR original formal obligations OR a scholarship financed from German public funds or European supported funds"

To my own little understand I think what this means is that by the time you go for the interview you must have fully funded your block account and present a document to that effect. I said this because on the booking platform there is nowhere there that incase you input document for proof of fully funded block account.

epurepu:
Hallo Lueten,

I've asked this question before, I got answers but sorry to ask again, cos I'm getting new info on this again.

Was told that the embassy, last week, gave a directive that only prospective students who has blocked their accounts will be given Appointment Date.

Is anyone aware of this?

N how true is it?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:31pm On Nov 12, 2019

After I cancelled and it was successful; it was not easy to rebook. It kept saying entry needs to be unique....
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Mikeval001: 5:20pm On Nov 12, 2019
Please we all should take note if this,if you booked you appointment before 1st of October,2019,you need to cancel it and rebook another appointment. I read it today at the German embassy booking platform for category B and I also called the German embassy contact link today.
This was what I read on the German embassy booking platform for category B
"During the long waiting period for B-list appointments, many students change their plans and do not show up at their assigned appointments. Go back to pg 61 carry biro and book and jot. Any one you did not understand you note it. Germany is amongst nations to premiere embracing going green and as such it would be wise to run away from oil and gas sector to broaden your prospects of integrating in their society or getting jobs.

Problem with this is that, If you are planning on doing something different from your bsc, you risk being denied visa by the embassy and consulate especially when you cannot marry the possible applications of your intended masters to your bachelors

This point alone is why you should atleast read the last 60pgs. So that you note when it became and why unadvisable to change courses. But then again if your bsc is amongst requirements for applications for the intended masters you actually stand a fighting chance.
