It's obvious the slave in us is still strong. In fact, some of us still beg to be enslaved.

Some of u open ur nairaland site and allow very thick stupidity to ooze out. Go and ask Muhammad Ali (RIP) why he threw his first Olympic Gold Medal into the sea. It was a restaurant owned by a white man in a white man's land. Here, a 'white man' comes to ur land, still refuses to serve u in ur own land and all u do is make up excuses for them.
Slavery is still in you.
he threw his medal cos he stupidly thought that being an entertainer Will make him equal to the white man. We fly their planes, we watch their TV, see by their light, ride their vehicles use their drugs, even buy their toothpick. All you do is entertain on the stage, on the field, just as the slaves sambos did and yet you wonder why the white man doesn't respect or fear you?
Is it tie ghettos or the Caribbean or Africa, where has tie black man done well ar a race.
It's not by chest pounding or throwing insults, everybody knows you're best av that.
What else are you bringing to the table.?

not really. Simply double peasant farmers productivity with fertiliser, Mech and or irrigation. There's a hundred million of them

The fact remains that for a culturally and religiously diverse country as ours, true federalism is what we must practice if we must be one country.

What is true federalism. So there is China made federalism Abi.

It's the reason the colonialists left us with the system when they were leaving.

No they left us with plenty of time bombs which are all going off as planned

True federalism has worked before and it will work again.

Federalism works (whether true or fake)
So does dictatorship, military rule, presidential and monarchy.
It's the leaders that make it work not a piece of paper.

Any system would have worked for us if we were all one tribe.
Like they were one tribe in feudal Japan.
Samurai, shogun, Ronin mean anything to you?

Unfortunately, we are not and we are too suspicious of each other.

Ah finally we agree on some basic realities
I am not suspicious of Chuks Mohammed or edIdiong. We are all brothers.

I am however suspicious of politician types who use mass psychology (another ugly reality and fact of life) and the simpletons Who fall for it.

The checks and balances in this system will always be compromised by religion and ethnicity.
the checks and balances are comprised by lack of integrity and laziness of a ppl.

Addendum
Your fada is the stubborn goat
Learn to talk to ppl in public

Ikwokrikwo:
We can now see why the north doesn't want to let go of Niger delta oil, even their so called agriculture is HEAVILY dependent on oil money.

Building and maintenance of irrigation dams - oil money.
Provision of subsidised fertilizers - oil money.
Provision of machineries - oil money.
Distribution of improved seedlings - oil money.
Financial grants and loans to farmers - oil money.

The north will just be another Senegal or Niger republic without oil money to sustain its agriculture
and what have y'all built with your own oil money allocation.?
Private jets and Dubai homes ko?

We are all one and those divisions are only visible to outsiders, and the greedy ones/saboteurs amongst us are in the minority. Furthermore, I as a northerner consider myself one with a Yoruba man politically (not just within the APC), so Kwara being Yoruba is not an issue.
you need to hear vehemently adamawa and other middle beltppl defend their identity when we call them Hausa. They SPEAK Hausa, they are not Hausa.

Of course we are one, but the reality is that titles can be used to sway ppl sentiment.
Just like some ppl can kill to defend football club.
Tis human nature to seek out identity

First, South Sudan got independence not resource control. After, the common enemy was gone, the tribes turned on each other.

Which is what will happen in Nigeria
I have seen inter street fighting over councillorship fa

Having said that, didnt the US also fight a civil war shortly after independence. Did it stop them from being a great nation eventually?

They would have been a great country even with dictatorship in place. They are serious ppl

Have you seen the end of South Sudan?

So you want to waste another couple decades like South Sudan ba

Are you a loon@tic?

Are you an slowpoke

What of countries that are successfully practising true federalism? Do they have 2 heads?

What of the countries that are successfully practising unitary system, also multi ethnic, multi religious.
What of those practicing monarchy.?
What of those that developed under dictatorship?
Military rule?
If you're serious it doesn't matter which system of govt, you will succeed.
And if your ineffectual it doesn't matter if heaven comes down, you will mess it up

Dont you know that true federalism provides many checks and balances for a highly diverse country like ours? Checks that dont exist and cant be enforced in this current system?
I challenge you to name 3 checks and balances that are not present in our system.

The middle belt is an illusion and mostly a geographical delineation. There is only one political north.
that illusion can be used strategically. Just remind MB that they are marginalised and one political north premise goes up in smoke.

That will never happen. Not under this administration, not under any APC or PDP government, not if the entire Niger Delta is flooded with oil from blown pipelines, not if the scAvengers blow up the entire region.

Massive development and clean-up of the Niger Delta? Certainly. Weakening the Presidency and reducing the power at the centre? Never.

Mark my word.
what if they bribe some middle belt(6 states) to vote for them.
You know ALL politicians ALL are hungry bastards willing to sell their left nut or even their children for money

Paradventure Buhari succumb to pressure and true fedralism is put into play no politician would be interested in the central politicis especially that of the Oil producing state. They would prefer to contest within the confines of the state than going federal.
that is not federalism. That is revenue allocation. Less at federal more at state and local.
But still won't develop Nigeria

they already control their resources
