PoliticsRe: Why Do Our Governors Enjoy Immunity??... by mikolo80: 1:31am On Jun 10, 2016
Izonpikin:
This is a question I have always asked....

Please why do our useless god forsaken governors (all of them) enjoy immunity..huh...I put it to everyone that the day our governors are stripped off their immunity then can they be held accountable for their actions and inactions and at the same time work for the people.... angry

Imagine a nigerian society where true federalism is practiced and all governors of our 36 states made to work for the people without shielding themselves with immunity...!!!....

We all shout change and clamor for change yet we still think our inept governors should hold on to their immunity...

Imagine my state bayelsa where a very ugly looking governor won't and can't pay salaries but will turn around to curse the same people who voted his ugly assS to be governor... angry angry

Just imagine. ..!!!

I am so angry with our country and the template or structure on which this country runs. ..We can't make progress , I repeat we can't make progress until such changes are made to foster development...

How can our governors be stripped of their immunityhuh...
1. the constitution(rule book) says so
2.too many frivolous suits would be filed on daily basis thereby hampering any productive anything
3. still doesn't matter cos they will just bribe the lawyers and judges and witnesses and police(like wike is doing now)

You are just confusing yourself...no coherent argument.

FACT: primary and secondary education is free of charge in the USA. It is free because Citizens and residents pay tax. same as in Nigeria.
meaning the payment of tax by citizens to the government requires that government provides certain basic things like education in return.

if you have any cogent counter- arguement then present it and stop bringing irrelevant matters. if monies that are meant to pay salaries, build roads and hospitals end up in private pockets, how will any country develop. as cosmopolitan diverse and racially divided as usa is, you dare not steal as brazenly as our nigerian leaders. if you like be white, brown black or pink..you will go to jail .
how much is our education budget. ?
how much is Harvard budget?
just Harvard o. not the whole 2500 schools in the USA. just Harvard budget.

Universal Basic Education is a right as enshrined in the UN charter and not a privilege.

Please show me a receipt where you paid tuition for a child from elementary to high school in government owned schoo in the USAl as I specified in my post.

As for tax, Nigerians do pay taxes especially PAYE taxes and VAT which is always factored into the cost of items and usually not listed seperately.

What will kill Nigeria is kleptomaniac, government officials pure and simple.
will you pay for it with cowries?
there are no ''rights '' in this world.
just privileges.
that you're alive is a privilege granted by the almighty not to talk of laws made by men that they cannot enforce.
how much Paye you don pay dis year.

RomanceRe: 15 Things Most Nigerian Girls Says When You Compliment Them by mikolo80: 6:26pm On Jun 08, 2016
McBrooklyn:
What is it with women and compliments?

You’re at the mall and a stranger tells you are beautiful. You immediately give an awkward response.

Some says you look nice today and your reaction is, “ Do I look bad every other day ?”

Why do women find it hard to just say ‘thank you’ and move on, instead of giving silly responses?

A lot of Nigerian women find it hard to accept compliment, no matter how confident and comfortable they are with themselves. They will always find a way to ignore it.

There are some women who don’t know how to take a compliment if it was staring them in the face.

Some of these women have heard too many fake compliments that they don’t believe it anymore whether it’s true or not.

Women need to realize that just because it’s being used often as a pick up line by some men doesn’t mean it’s a lie.

Here are 15 things Nigerian girls say when you compliment them:

1. Like really?
Someone says, ‘You have nice legs’ and the best reply you can give is ‘like really’. But why? undecided

2. We thank the Lord.
Of course we will always thank God, just say thank you. cool

3. Stop telling me lies.
So someone cannot say your hair is fine again? angry

4. My head is swelling.
Hold the head well so it doesn’t burst and scatter all over the place. cheesy

5. Who are you deceiving?
Can’t you just accept a compliment? undecided

6. Whatever!
Which one is whatever again? Just accept the compliment and feel good. angry angry

7. I know.
Stranger: Hello pretty, you have a nice figure. wink
Girl: I know. undecided

8. Abeg, let’s hear word.
Which word, is it the word of God? undecided

9. Ehen and so?
The next time you are complimented on your looks or whatever, you just say "THANK YOU". cool

10. I hear it all the time.
You’ve earned somebody’s respect and admiration. What do you say to that? angry

11. If I hear.
Take a compliment at face value and appreciate the best of it. wink

12. Stop whining me joor!
If you think that you’re being modest by not accepting a compliment, think again. cool

13. Abeg, Abeg, Abeg
While there is a possibility from time to time that some people might just be lying, most people are genuine about giving compliment. smiley

14. Washy wash
Accepting compliments tells the other person that you appreciate what they have to say about you. cheesy

15. Is that how you deceive your small girlfriends?
You’ve probably earned it, so enjoy your moment in the spotlight. grin

because we had the productive base to pay for it.
we cannot pay for free education with just oyel money.do the math.
60 million in pry 25 million in sec and a million in uni.
we have over a million teachers and needd 200k more.
1million a year = 83k per month
thata over 1.2 trillion just for education.abi you no go pay army or police or other civil servants, hospitals nko

In the USA and other developed countries, education up till secondary school level is absolutely free if charge .

Do you know why you pay taxes at all ? You pay VAT on everything you buy, if you work you pay PAYE tax ...do we pay those taxes because we like government? Absolutely not. We pay them so that amenities and infrastructure would be provided. So free basic education is not a favour.
i am in the america o.
education is not fFREE o.
yes for the student, not for the govt and society
vat can not pay for anything serious in nigeria because ppl are poor generally.
sorry you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
i thought tinubu and fashola were thieves with lekki toll gate at 150 naira per vehicle until i paid$12 dollars for toll gatae in new york(3600 naira equivalent).
when last did you pay tax on your salary.?
how much vat do you pay on rent or food(this is where you spend most of your money)
trust me we cannot afford free education without first generating the money unless you screen unserious students via exam cutoffs(i'm sure you know what wii happen once this happens, corruption, man know man, bribes, mercenaries).
see ehn there is fire on the montane and we have our work cut out for us.
but shouting free education producing unproductive individuals that the system doesn't need is not the way.
eheeeen maybe if you provide free fish fairming training and other agric and basic manufacturing training that is useful to us as a nation maybe we can start with that one.
sorry,just being realistic
do not be deceived ,education costs money(buildings, salaries, equipment) and somebody has to pay for it(govt or parents)
here we pay vat plus alost 25% tax(almost 30% total)
in scandinavia they pay 40%+
