Quakertellicus1: Problem is not lack of job....but too many people wanting white collar job....and too many people getting little or no career advice when they were in secondary school. nothing wrong with wanting white collar job. problem is the blue collar workers very very low productivity. trust me if our farmers(tractors and livestock farming) and manufacturers(soap and food processing mini factories a la pure water machine) mechanised we wouldn't have enough graduates to service the system even with polytechnic students join. |

You 'll still need to build transmission lines to evacuate the power generated. what stops them from blowing transmission lines when there are no gas pipelines to blow again. The solution is to have an energy mix that do not totally rely on gas. hehehe so no be only me sabi dis tactics.but that is for freedom fighters.these ones just want to collect bunkered oye moni.no money from cutting powerlines |

mrvitalis: I will still blame the education sector for the foolishness of Nigerians
1) the cost of rice increase because of the value of Nigeria, and that's no buhari's fault, tell ur rich dad or uncle to go to kebbi and build a rice processing plant and make cool cash
2) blaming Buhari for tomatoes?? Why not praise him for onions supply?? Our tomatoes farm was attacked, sha earlier this year I bought tomatoes the cheapest I have bought in my life . . Please if u have money try greenhouse tomatoes farming it's pays ( once I get cash am going into it)
3) as for garri, that's a simple economics, a ton of cassava chips is reported at $300 - $400, and with the current Nigeria value it pays more to use cassava for chips than garri processing and the government can't stop the export cos we need the forex... or what would u have the farmers do? ? Not given him an excuse also but the above accusations are baseless teachers cannot give what they do not have(most of them are doing the job out of desperation) |

This is the same logic behind baby factories and human trafficking. poverty is what takes a childs innocence,at least now she has a shot in life |

For me, I think the Makarfi-led committee should reconcile and work with the Mantul/Gana-led committee to get the party back on track in the shortest time possible, because Nigeria needs a strong and United opposition party at the moment, and also needs to change the change in 2019. so long as these greedy selfish bastards refuse to invest our yams in-country,they can never win anything.cups of rice and customised ankara will not cut it this time around.jobs, light and good roads only can win the peoples hearts cos i trust apc will deliver some of these and with no more money to steal and none invested for the rainy day i dunno how pp will cope in this new wilderness they find themselves |

Politics › Re: Short Term Remedy To Epileptic Power Supply by mikolo80: 12:37am On May 23, 2016 |
bettercreature: The best short term solution is to negotiate with Niger/delta militant then allow each state to partner with private sector to generate it's own electricity Power generation must not be central thing, there are various ways to generate enough electricity that can sustain one state rather than the whole Nigeria and employ militants at said power stations. |

rottennaija: You mean like a large gas storage tanks? It could work but I'm sceptical about Nigeria where a majority see everything thru the lens of tribe and region.
I think building more gas generating stations near the power plant is the best options, as we have a large reserve of gas underground in every part of the country abi you mean to build power plants near the gas supply |
Politics › Re: Short Term Remedy To Epileptic Power Supply by mikolo80: 12:36am On May 23, 2016 |
mrvitalis: I will give my own solution to my countries problem and it's left for my country to take my solutions Am a graduate of mechanical engineering from the UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA with special interest in gas transport network (aspiring gas pipeline engineer) The blowing up of pipeline is making headlines because it majorly affects power generation, so if there is a way to stop from affecting power generation it will make less headline and will be meaningless for the fools( Niger Delta avengers) Engineering solutions of this magnitude are very expensive but are worth it My solutions is that all gas faired gas plants should as a matter of urgency build a gas storage facility capable of storing enough gas to power there plants for a month. With this any damage in the pipeline should be fixed within a month This solution is expensive and will increase the cost of doing business in Nigeria but it's better than giving in to the demands of a militant groups, government should never bring its self down to the point of negotiating with militans group it will give others the impression that the government is weak My thoughts tho how will you fill it in the first place? |
Politics › Re: The Earlier The Better For Apc Government by mikolo80: 12:00am On May 23, 2016 |
MeanChris: This administration seems to be cursed. Every decision they’ve made has led us from bad to worse. This is not funny anymore. I know people believed in APC though they only chose Buhari who they claimed was a repentant democrat because it was clear that without any other candidate spelt doom for me.
At the twilight of the last administration, things were beginning to turn gloomy that’s why most Nigerians not minding that Buhari didn’t present a certificate to prove he went to school, not minding the band of thieves standing behind him, not minding how insensitive his government of the 80s was, not minding that since Buhari left government, he hasn’t engaged in any nation building activity and has only engaged in a series of vengeful comeback attempts, vehemently voted for him because they believed he had the divine mandate to better things in this country.
We all know the situation in our country right now so no need to pin point the different ways this administration has failed. My question is this... Is it karma that’s affecting APC? I know that some elements within them had good intentions for the country, so what’s happening? I know somebody like Fashola had already set out plans to achieve his dream statements of stabilizing electricity so what’s happening to those plans..?
APC castigated, ridiculed, disrespected, offended, blasphemed, reviled, depreciated, derogated, insulted, disparaged etc (I have more words but let me stop here) Jonathans government to the extent that little children who Jonathan was old enough to grandfather also joined in calling him a clueless fool. It was terrible. They were against everything; I mean everything that came from Jona's administration. Well welcome to the world where justice sometimes select scapegoats to use as case study. APC government is not yet over so let’s assume they’ve not failed.
The lesson is ‘always remember Karma’. What you sow is what you reap. The world might be unjust but the little voice of justice is still heard. The earlier APC acknowledge they destroyed Jonathan’s government, the earlier things start working out for them.
PEACE! pls point to one clueful thing jonathan did. apc has 4years to prove themselves, calm down, cos the mess pdpd left will not be cleaned up overnight even though human brains would like it to be.some things just take time.impregnating 9 women will not deliver babay next month |
