andromida: I'll stick with 100:100 i prefer people to bring their whole selves not halves and yeah its possible people give the the best of themselves to their careers and other things they consider important why not bring that same passion to your primary relationship. I see your point and i totally agree |

ronald4lif: As crazy as it may sound, one should just love and care less who loves more. When your partner tells you they love you and act it as well just take it like that. But love with your brains intact and always expect the worse so you don't get taken by surprise. Whether he/she loves more is not a guarantee your ass won't get dumped if that's bound to happen.
People should just forget about this love talk and enjoy a relationship while it last, enjoy the moment, live it and when it ends move on.

I am in the midst of a discussion, Please feel free to debunk this claim and give reasons. Here we go, The height of a every relationship with passion begins when a man loves a woman........True or false......give reasons please. It is said that when a woman loves a man more, she is seen as a fool and the relationship should come to a halt. What if it is the other way round (the man loving the woman more), should the man be given a chance or should the relationship also come to an end? Scholar8200: it's okay we learn everyday. Does your concepts of grace match the description given in Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world . I ask because the concluding part of your initial post presents a different perspective hence my previous questions (I'm sorry if I'm wrong let me know). The incoming of sin was not part of man's creation by God's purpose to make him more lower or 'vulnerable' . It was a disfiguring that Christ through grace came to correct not only judicially or positionally but internally else all the epistles and the sermon on the mount will be needless. Grace not only brings forgiveness but also (for those who'll seek it) power to be free. And that's why Jesus told the woman caught in adultery go and sin no more and told another sin no more lest a worse thing comes. Imagine that you are at a healing service. An alcoholic walks into the church reeking of alcohol. He sits behind the pianist, a nice elderly lady who has been serving in the church for 50 years. Both of them are suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The healing power of God is present. In an instant, the alcoholic, who has never been in church before, gets healed. The pianist does not. Most people, on hearing stories like this, would get upset and confused. They might ask, “Shouldn’t God heal this nice, old lady who has been serving Him faithfully all these years, and not that debauched drunkard?” You see, many people still believe that God heals only the deserving. But that is not how God works. God looks at faith, not works. His power is made manifest in those who trust His goodness instead of their good behavior. So if we go back to the above example, God wants to heal both the alcoholic and the nice elderly pianist. All they need to do is to receive by grace, or unmerited favor, through faith. The only thing for you to do is to believe God’s “I wills”. The more you believe His “I wills” or promises, the more you will see His heart for you and the more your faith will grow. We cannot earn the blessings of God. We receive them by believing God’s love and grace toward us. If we receive the greatest blessing—salvation—by simply believing that Jesus did it all for us and not by working for it, what makes us think that the other lesser blessings can be obtained by our works? Well, your boss may not be that gracious, but your Father in heaven is! When He found fault with the old covenant and established the new covenant (Hebrews 8:7– in His Son’s blood, His “Thou shalls” became “I wills”. You may be feeling stressed at work today because your boss just gave you a list of things to do. Maybe he told you, “You have to type this letter. You have to meet this client. You have to write this report. You have to…” Wouldn’t it be nice if your boss had, instead, said, “I will type this letter for you. I will meet this client for you. I will write this report for you. I will…”? You see, under the old covenant, the focus is on you—Thou shall not…Thou shall not…Thou shall not…It is all about your performance, your obedience, your works. But under the new covenant, God says, “I will put My laws in their mind…I will be their God…I will be merciful to their unrighteousness…their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” It is no longer you working for God, but God working for you, in you, through you! |

Told her I wouldnt wanna have sex again until I Got married (which will be, at most, three years from now), and the next day she sent me a text message ending the two year relationship. I'm now caught between a cliff and a high wall. She never told me why. I just hope it's not because of the sex issue. Honestly, I feel used because she was my first and only. I Am 24 and almost through with my bachelors but I've never found sex that appealing. We've dated for more than two years but had sex a total six times. I now feel horrible. I am not very religious but I just feel like sex before marriage is just wrong. But I dont think I am willing to let her go either.
Try having a meaningful conversation with her........perhaps she's listening to stupid talks like "if he's not giving it to you, then he's getting it elsewhere," or " he doesn't really love you". If you can talk with her, make sure you understand why or find out what happened, unless, she's seeing someone else, then she might just be confused................if it's the confused state..............explain to her why you feel it's worth waiting for and make sure you can be trusted. |

Christianity Etc › How Hiding Keeps You From Seeking by Mikwus(op): 3:53pm On Apr 14, 2015 |
Today’s Truth God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in sprit and truth. (John 4:24, ESV) In John 4, we see a tired Jesus. He was exhausted and thirsty from the journey he and the disciples had just made from Judea to Galilee. Having sent the disciples into town for food, Jesus sat down by Jacob’s well and talked with a woman of Samaria – ignoring cultural, racial, and social norms of that day. {Jews did not associate with Samaritans and often tried to avoid Samaria all together on their journeys. In addition to that, respectable Jewish men did not talk women whom they didn’t know in public.} But Jesus was clearly not concerned with public opinion as He was on a mission of mercy. He asked this unnamed woman for a drink then engaged her in a meaningful and purposed conversation. They talked of practical thirst, and then Jesus spoke of living water that satisfies eternally. Not realizing whom she was talking to or what He was really talking about, this woman asked for a jar full of living water so she would never be thirsty again and so she would no longer have to make constant trips to the well. {I mean, who wouldn't want that? If I never had to buy groceries again I would be one happy girl!} Then, in order to lovingly introduce her to the Living Water she longed for, Jesus redirected the conversation and asked her to go call her husband and come back. (v. 16) By asking this question Jesus got all up in her personal business! Why? Because she didn't have a husband and He knew it. She’d had lover after lover. “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have said is quite true.” (John 4:17-18) As light invades darkness, this conversation instantly went from veiled and casual to exposed and personal. I imagine she squirmed a bit under her covering and wanted to hide as she acknowledged that this man must be a prophet. Uncomfortable, she tried to change the subject by talking about religion instead of her rebellion. “Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:19-24) By telling her that, God is spirit. And we are to worship him in spirit and in truth, Jesus went beneath the surface of religion to bring what really matters to the forefront: worshiping God in spirit and in truth. God seeks worshipers who come to Him in spirit – through Jesus – and in truth. Stay with me here! This story is about to take an exciting twist! What did Jesus mean by saying we must worship God in TRUTH? According to the BDAG Greek-English lexicon of New Testament, the root word for truth in this verse is alēthia, which means ‘hiding nothing’. To worship God in truth means that we are to come before Him hiding nothing! It means that we must bear all to the One who sees and knows all. That we should come as we are, allowing our stained hearts to be made white as snow in the presence of our holy God who dwells in unapproachable light. Friend, God is not looking for us to be religious and He certainly knows all about the rebellion in our lives that we try to hide. He knows when you flirt with that married man at work or with an old boyfriend on Facebook. He knows when you put away bags and throw away shopping receipts before your husband gets home. He knows when you surrender to eating that entire bag of potato chips – or when you make yourself throw up your meal. He knows when gossip is on your lips and when you harbor unforgiveness, jealousy, anger, deceit and hatred in your heart. He knows… He knows… He knows… And he calls us to more. He calls us to a vulnerable, honest faith. To worship Him in humble awareness of our depravity, but with a sacred awareness of His grace and unfailing love that binds us to forgiveness, restoration, healing, peace, hope and joy. Today, let’s worship Him in spirit and in truth – hiding nothing. Let’s Pray Holy Father, Oh, how I try to hide! Forgive me. Please fill me with Your living water and help me to know and live out Your truth. Lead me with Your Spirit, today. In Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Karlman: I need some sound advice from sound minds. My girlfriend is three weeks pregnant as I am typing to you. From the depth of my heart and soul I want to keep the pregnancy but I am unemployed and really broke. And when I think of my financial status and what would be required to nurse and deliver a babe, I am tempted to think of doing the unthinkable. But I am so drawn to this pregnancy and the baby in it. The way it came to me and the time it came to me and how I can already feel its presence even when its only a three week old cluster of blood, left me in perpetual amazement. This is not the first time a girlfriend would be pregnant for me, but never at any of the times have I felt as connected with them as I feel with this particular one. In the past cases I have always done the otherwise and moved on without blinking an eye but now I can't even lift a finger against this child. But how will I weather the storm of unemployment+pregnant babe+baby on the way? Already I can't sleep no more, staying up all night and day thinking on how to get all the miles covered.
Thanks for your time! Blessing in disguise............Do not terminate pregnancy, I repeat do not terminate pregnancy. Keep faith and keep searching, i would advise you make this known to the lady's family and any how you can, pay her bride price if you love her enough to marry her. Watch and see GOD announce you in the midst of your confusion. Good luck |

1. Am thinking of going for MSc which i may end up spending the whole money on and God forbid, what if i still don't get any job after the programme won't i go back to square one?
2. I'm thinking maybe i could invest in something profitable and start up a little business but i really want to build my career and with that little sum of money i have, i may end up making little or no gain which i could possibly lose lots of money aswell.
3. The third and last one am really interested doing is someone promised me a job in NNPC and he is asking me to pay 300k for a slot there but from experience of what happened to be last year, i lost 150k to a family friend who promised me a job in Nigeria Custom but i end up got scammed. It didn't workout, am trying to avoid such mistake again.
I've always wish to work with a goverment parastatal (a very good one) and i don't mind forfeiting the whole 500k to get it only if i can be rest assured it will workout.
Am really confused and don't know what to do with my life....i need u guys advice please! There you have it.........you want assurance even after it has happened to you once. Oga start a business or keep praying for a job. You don't pay for jobs. on 2nd thought you can go for professional certification. |

Crime › Re: Gov Al-makura’s Aide Daughter's Head Beheaded By Suspected Ritualists by Mikwus(f): 9:05am On Mar 10, 2015 |
lolaakinola: Some suspected ritual killers have beheaded 20-year-old Memuna Galadima, the daughter of Mustapha Galadima, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to Governor Umaru Al-Makura.
Mustapha, who confirmed her daughter’s murder to PUNCH Metro, said Memuna, before her untimely death, was in the Department of Entrepreneur, Faculty of Administration at the Pianku campus of the Nasarawa State University, where she was studying for a National Diploma.
Galadima said, “It was on Thursday, February 26, 2015. My daughter left home for school to sit for a test at the Pianku campus along Nasarawa Road along with three of her friends.”
The Special Adviser said the test was for 10am and he expected his daughter home a few hours later.
He added that he became worried when Memuna did not come home on the day. He said he never saw his daughter alive again until her decomposing body was found along Agwan Ozoro, in the Karshi development area of Nasarawa State.
He said, “Upon hearing the news, I mobilised people to go there and check if it were her remains that were found. On reaching there, the search team told me that the body had decomposed beyond recognition.
“They added that the body was found inside a deep well, saying several attempts made to remove the corpse from the well were unsuccessful.
“It was when the police brought her picture that we were able to identify her through her legs and there was nothing we could do but to bury her there according to Muslim injunctions.
“She had been in Keffi for the past three years with her mother, who is also an undergraduate at the department of accountancy of the same institution.”
Investigation by PUNCH Metro showed that Memuna was found without a head as it was suspected that her assailants might have decapitated her before throwing her remains inside the well.
It was also said the people responsible were ritual killers.
Some passersby, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they sighted the victim on a motorcycle at about 12pm.
Mustapha, who described his daughter as peace loving and humble, said he never saw her keeping any bad company.
“Those that did this dastardly act will not go scot-free.
“Her death is still a mystery to us, but, however, as a Muslim, we have consolation in God.”
The mother of the deceased, Hajiya Hassana Galadima, said her daughter left home for her lecture with her friend, Aisha.
She said, “The duo usually went to school together and used to return home at about 5pm every day. I even have a photocopy of her timetable in order to monitor her movement.”
It will be recalled that some unidentified gunmen, also suspected to be ritual killers, recently beheaded Mrs. Amina Suleiman, the daughter of Director General of Governor Umaru Tanko Al – Makura’s Campaign Organisation, Mr. Musa Illu.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State command, ASP Umaru Ismaila, who confirmed the incident to PUNCH Metro on the telephone, said, “Investigation into the incident is ongoing.”

NLSince: Hey Guys,
I'm in a fix right now. I created this account to seek advice about my current situation. I have seen some very good and some not-so-good advice being dished out here. I really hope I get more of the former.
So there's this lady who I'm interested in dating. infact, I was about to ask her out yesterday when one thing led to another and she told me she was SS.
Here's a little background to this: 1. I consider myself a good guy. I'm not a player and I can't date you if I don't see us heading to the aisle. I have been in relationships before which have ended but I don't date with the intention of ending it. 2. Because of Number 1, I don't just ask out anyone. I start by being friends and then if I see a future, I'll then take it forward else we mutually friendzone ourselves. I'm different, Bite me. 3. This Lady ticks most of the boxes I think is important. And I actually believe(d) that this would be my Last Bus stop. However, I don't want to get a wife who'll leave me soon. 4. I'm AA
I'll be grateful if you guys help me with answers to this: a) Should I go on with this? or should I free her? or go against everything I believe in and break off the relationship once her next crises comes. (OMG, that's brutal. I'm cringing just writing that) b) I know if we have kids, they'll be AS. What chances of survival does she have? at least to get up until 70. She's 25 right now.
Searching for a wife is hard. I really don't want to lose a good one (If I don't have to) and start searching again.
