Is 10k payment a reasonable dividend payment 4rm a company like transcorp?
That would be 100% improvement on dividend Sir.
If with 5k dividend for the preceding year, it rallied to N7.08, imagine the future potential such a dividend payment may bring grin

I concur with myjoy08 on the current price of transcorp (looks like a buying opportunity) based on the likelihood of the coy releasing a good result anytime from now and reasonable dividend payment which could shore up the price
10k things.

Wen I can I sell my ubcap and still benefit from the dividend?
You have to hold till Monday.
If you are able to sell it then, fine. Else hold till you can exit without making a loss.

I hope the people who have UBCAP in their portfolio presently can see what is happening to AFRIPRUD post closure in this bearish market.

With the sharp practice that happened on Monday, I doubt if they will allow it to fall down to that price again. However, nothing is impossible.
Sir, It is called Market Making. As defined by the NSE it is " aimed at providing liquidity through the establishment of best prices and the narrowing of spreads. There is one Primary Market Marker and two Supplemental Market Makers assigned to every listed equity. Market Makers provide liquidity for their assigned stocks by quoting at and improving upon the national best bid and offer (NBBO).

Good to take life easy , Fear na bad thing ..i wonder what people wey don dey invest in long term stocks for the past 30 years and have several millions of naira worth of stocks in their portfolio do
So if there is war , na only stock we dey talk , what about properties ,the banks , what about human lives
Even with ur money , do you think you go get food buy
Lets have hope ..all will be Good
Lol, I had this conversation with a friend today. All those who are "sharing the fear" forget that the people who matter in the polity, who control the "violence" by their control of the violent, have a lot more at stake in the Nigeria project than you and I. On either side of the divide the main actors have investments in the NSE and outside of the NSE running into hundreds of millions of naira. Depending on who wins on the 28th, at most we will have a few days of tyre burning at a few road junctions in major cities. Thereafter life reverts to normal.

I think it will be safer there than Morgan.
Ogbeni, if you envisage such a scenario your safest bet will be to exit the NSE and Naira and revert to USD which you will hold in cash (per adventure you need to buy your way into Benin Republic)

Haven't concluded yet.
Anything buying will be after 28, then I observe the atmosphere if it's funny, I withdraw all my money from Morgan and keep it safe in my bank account.
Just in case the country turn to something. Prevention is better than cure.
Stop the fear mongering angry. If the 2nd bolded happens, do you think your bank will open? grin

But wait o, is it true that Jonathan visited NSE today, in Lagos "to launch a new online mobile platform, known as X-Gen, to increase local investment"?
Biko, isnt this what we have all been using since 2013? And which even the NSE celebrated its successful one year anniversary last year?

The recent volumes of activity on the FBNH suggest that lots of Hedge Funds and Foreign Investors have already started taking position. Whether it's for dividend returns or for a mini-bumper bull ride (capital gains) is another issue. The sentiment is there already. The Elephant has always delivered in good times and in bad times.

Disclosure: I own billions of FBNH shares.

Shame on those youths taking selfie's with a man under whose tenure several Nigerian youths lost their lives in the immigration recruitment scam months ago and has till date not sanctioned any member of his administration for it.

plz i need help here. am with morgan capital acct openi form nw. on it i see acct no, acct name, bla bla. wat do dey need it for? also i already av a chn, hop i cn still use it n fill it in d form? lastly, i have not colect d new voters card, cn i use d old one cos i no get any oda prove to use.
They need to have a bank account on file for you, so they can remit your funds to you via bank transfers instead of cheques. If you are moving that account with the existing CHN from your current brokers, yes you can use it. Otherwise, I think you will get a new CHN. National id card, international passport, drivers license etc can also be used.
