Good day everyone, please kindly advise on this matter
My sister graduated from Biochemistry in Nigeria and wants to pursue a Nursing degree in the UK. I know Nursing is on shortage list at the moment and getting job is quite easy. But i fear for what may come within the next 3 to 4 years befroe she finishes school. Do you think this is a risk worth taking or we should try other countries, thanks for your contributions as i trust your judgements

You shouldn't send any document directly to the embassy. You can scan and send the documents you mentioned to him, he will submit everything during his biometrics appointment.
Alright, thank you

Good day everyone,
Please, while applying for Tier 2 dependant visa, do i need to scan and send my documents (BRP, Tenancy agreement, COS e.t.c) to hubby in Nigeria to submit with his application or i have to send them by post to the embassy here?

Thanks

Take anyone you are offered. Use it sparingly and make sure you pay it off before the interest kicks in. You should see you credit profile improve after a few months of using credit facilities, this will put you in line for a 0% interest-free credit card deal, good mortgage deals etc. I know that some people advise against credit cards, but personally, I think they are a valuable resource when used wisely. It's not the credit card that is the problem, the problem is the small number of users who use them inappropriately like they are free money, and they end up in massive debt. No free money anywhere, even in Freetown.
Thanks for this

Elders in the house, thanks for always putting your girl through in this UK, it's not easy for JJC like us
I bank with Barclays and was offered a credit card with 29.9% APR. I had applied for one with 19.9% APR which was declined but they offered me this one instead. Is it a good bargain or I should continue in my search for a card with lesser APR?
Also, I would really appreciate if someone can tell me more about credit cards, no matter how much I read, all cards are the same to me except their different APR
I only need the card for building my credit score, please enlighten me
Thanks

Just an innocent question.
What type of visa do you hold?
If you hold a T2 Visa, you can’t justifiably call your pay “meagre” because you must have attained a certain threshold to be eligible for that visa category.
Lols, I hold T2 and the pay is meagre after paying all bills

justwise:
National Insurance covers:

-Maternity Allowance
-Contribution-based Jobseeker's Allowance
-Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance
-Bereavement Benefits
-Basic State Pension
-New State Pension

And for your tax..

if you earn:

£11,851 to £46,350 you pay 20% tax

£46,351 to £150,000 you pay 40% etc
Na to go an get belle be this ooo, after all I don't have access to public funds on my visa, I may not be able to get other benefits

2018 / 2019 the personal allowance is £11,850 so usually you have to earn above that before tax start kicking in so maybe you havent earned up to that

Yes everyone pays both once your earnings is over the yearly personal allowance . That figure changes every april . Next year amount is £12,500
Thanks for your contribution, I'm more enlightened. Nut I have been earning above this year's quote. May be they just have to wait till April before charging new immigrants

The tax would collected, because it's a debt you owe.....
They would not collect it all in one lump, but a tax code adjustment would be made, to reflect extra tax collections..........
This is bad news How much more do they have to collect to finish my meagre pay

Your employer was not deducting tax? Never heard of this type of anomaly before.........

National insurance contributions, helps towards your eventual state pension contributions, probably some element of tax, income support etc etc........
Thanks for the information, I heard they start deducting tax from April of every year

My elders in the UK, help me. I just discovered I have not been paying tax since I arrived the UK, instead I have been paying the national insurance. I was told i will start paying tax in April in Addition to the National insurance. My question is does everyone pays the national insurance and tax and what do I start to gain from paying national insurance. I know Tax payment is compulsory but nobody told me about national insurance , how much is the whole money self? Why are they bent on collecting all their money back

I sincerely hope he does not apply for defendant visa, not unless he wants to defend you.......

On a serious matter, tier 2 dependant visa is his best option.......... He dán travel in and out, so long he does not stay outside Nigeria for 2 years, without checking in.......
Thanks for your response , God bless you. Pardon my error, i didn’t notice while typing

I hold a tier 2 visa and have been in the UK for 4 months, hubby wants to visit me here but doesn't want to relocate to the UK yet due to some commitments in Nigeria. The question is what type of visa should we apply for, Visitor's visa or tier 2 defendent visa? If he's granted tier 2 dependent, can he travel in and out of the UK as much as he wants till he's ready to settle probably in one and a half years time?
Pls Help
