Decision finally landed this morning, visit visa denied Submitted application 28th August, Biometrics fine 3rd of September Apparently, the VO thought I wl leave my job and husband in the UK to become illegal in Canada...good thinking Proposed visit date already passed 16th of November and my leave is over. Good luck to everyone awaiting decision |

ty01: This wait is tiring and frustrating. I’ve never waited this long for any visa. Eligibility review started since 5th of November. At time I feel like withdrawing the application sef. Its either they are inefficient or our Naija banks et-al delay in responding to the embassy’s confirmations and enquiries. I’m not sure this is about naija banks I submitted my application August 28th, Biometrics on September 3rd and they are yet to start my eligibility review I sent several mails, no response I applied from the UK and processing was meant to be 53days |

kk2003: Am 75 days already and counting, paper based, Biometric same day. I have tracked tire, event i planned for is today. I have given up. They should return my passport for me o.
I don't know about online. The day i submitted, i got an email with my tracking number. Funny enough, I can’t find their mail in my inbox anymore. Not that I was stupid enough to delete it but it miraculously disappeared Holiday is planned for 16th, I may as well give up at this point |

peetah: Hi mim1031, I think they need you to provide them with you UCI number (unique client identification) and application number (usually starts with V ). which email and phone number you contact them on? I also am waiting for their response on my application and travel date is drawing really close. They didn’t accept the above, all they wanted was the tracking number

I’m sincerely getting tired of waiting, it’s 64 days today and They haven’t started eligibility review on my application. I called the guys in London and the Indian guys that spoke with me insisted I should provide my tracking number which I don’t have. They said I should have gotten one when I submitted my application online. Good people, is it true that they provide tracking number for every application before processing I’m starting to think something is wrong with my application. I sent a mail to IRCC and I was advised to contact London office It’s 11 days past the processing days, is this a common occurrence ? |

Ozzz: I just taya, for their style, I did online application and my purpose for traveling has passed, however I just logged in to find out the review of eligibility has started, i applied September 17th. There was no notification whatsoever to this as well, I remain positive. It hasn’t even started in my case, got me wondering if it’s going to take 74days. Truthfully, I’m starting to loose hope, just trying to stay positive too |

Our bus was stopped at the border and the immigration guy asked everyone for their passports. I wasn’t even nervous at the point until my brain processed the mess I got myself in Inkredible: My first trip, I was nervous as you were. Now, it’s like going and coming. Maybe your outlook on the day gave you away. Where you that nervous of getting caught? These guys are trained to read that.
Sha, pele... You dinnor miss much sef. Dublin is just there like that. Nothing spectacular except Saint JAMES’s Gate... Arthur’s brew room.
You’d enjoy Scotland and Northern Ireland tours better.
Pele dear. |

Ok, thanks so much justwise: I was refused student visa renewer and was given 15days then to leave the UK but i took HomeOffice to immigration tribunal and won, i declared it in my ILR application and the result was positive, so you will be fine, when the time comes declare it and give brief explanation. |

I think he copied some details from the resident card. I actually asked the immigration officer about the implications, he said it’s a stop from entering Ireland and I only have to explain in future applications that I was stopped because I didn’t know I require a visa to visit Ireland at the time My ILR will be due in 3 years time, still a long time but i’m Worried about the whole issue spacyzuma: Did they photograph/scan your passport or resident card? If no, then I think you shouldn't worry.
When I applied for ILR, I put all the places I'd been to outside UK and the dates.
But days after I did the biometric appointment, I discovered that I had made some mistakes with the dates and I forgot to mention one particular trip. I was so worried, but I still got the ILR.
I dont think you'll have to mention this in your ILR. When will you be due to apply? |

I didn’t have my passport on me and no finger print was taken but I had my photograph taken and BRP checked for identification, BRP was later returned to me but I noticed he typed some details on his desktop justwise: Don't be too hard on yourself, this is not actually deportation..you were turned back for not having a visa, you haven't entered Dublin illegally or caught with forged document.
Yes declare it in your future application..was your passport stamped or your finger print taken? |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by mim1031: 8:24pm On Jun 15, 2019 |
Noted, thanks LagosismyHome: I think it would be fine ... you were denied entry and not deported or something more serious. Just be careful next time. That people are doing something dont make it right. Always check what is the proper way and follow due process If not when problem arises you carry your cross yourself. The so called " I know people" are never there to carry your cross when issue arises.. but if you follow due process then no issues |

I’m not as lucky. I think it’s best I open up about this in my future applications including ILR and pray to God in heaven for favourable outcomes spacyzuma: Chai! Sorry o. I've done this before (Belfast to Dublin by bus) and Immigration didn't even stop either bus.
I don't know if this will affect your ILR in the future. I got my ILR some months ago, and of course I didn't mention the trip to Dublin. |

I truly regret this, I was falsely assured plus I know people who have been to Ireland without issues LagosismyHome: Although too late to ask why would you risk this... until you get British passport you are suppose to be on your best behaviour at all times [q[quote author=LagosismyHome post=79352996] |

I was told it’s no problem crossing over and many people do it. Now, I know better wonlasewonimi: You should have done your research, you can't even go there with Schengen visa. The only issue is that you have to answer 'have you ever been deported'? it could affect your future visa applications. |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by mim1031: 11:50am On Jun 15, 2019 |
Thanks so much, God bless y’all justwise: You need to apply for Schengen visa if you want to visit any EU country, regarding ILR application..its not a problem as long as you explained what happened. |

Thanks for this, but, I don’t plan going to Dublin anymore after today’s incident. Do I still need to apply for Schengen visa and will it help my case in any way? justwise: Apply for Schengen visa in any EU embassy in London but you will need a list of documents..flight booking confirmation, bank statement(3 months or more), payslip, travel insurance, proof of accommodation, data page of your passport, the biometric visa card and a letter explaining why you want to visit Dublin.

Do I have to state this when I apply for ILR and I hope it doesn’t affect it, i’m Scared Lexusgs430: We had discussed this issue in the past..... Your visa is only UK centric.........
What it means is, you got a denied entry aka deportation. It would be noted on your records.
What it means is, be truthful and honest when asked the question (with explanation)........
NB : Take out the European Union...... |

omicron: Nursing will continue to be one of the highest in demand jobs in the UK for the foreseeable decades. Reason being that pay remain lower than other developed countries, fewer UK people studying nursing (and medicine) due to poor work/life balance and stress caused by chronic staff shortages and increasing work demands, BREXIT (large chunk of EU nurses leaving the UK), UK nurses and even international nurses in the UK emigrating to Canada, Australia and USA, and an ageing population.
Thanks very much If she really wants to do nursing to practise in the UK, she should not be deterred by potential lack of job opportunities or unfavourable immigration policies. The prospects are very bright. My opinion. |
