Almaiga:
I just passed through the road from Benin to Kaduna yesterday. The road is way better than it was about 2 to 3 months back. All the bad spots were fixed, you don't need to go through those Villages again.
The Benin Ekpoma and Ekpoma Auchi part is a lot better now but, Auchi Okpela and Okene axis is worst with so much pot holes. I advice you take caution on that part.
Avoid those Road safety at Iruekpen, the village before Ekpoma. They had a fieled day arresting vehicle's with one offence or the other. I was one of the unlucky ones too, they even set up a mobile Court at their office. I was booked for 3k.
Drive with caution and safe trip.

Please , I am thinking of driving through Auchi to Benin and I heard that the road was so bad at the beginning of the year.That people had to follow through villages which I don't know about. Sure. You can apply ordinary emulsion on a screeded wall.
It will come out well but not as nice as applying matte or silk/satin finish.
Walls to be painted with ordinary emulsion doesn't necessarily need to be screeded, so far the plastering is good.
The essence of screeding in the first instance is to provide a smooth layer on the wall to hide faults on the wall.
High sheen paints highlight these faults, hence why screeding is done in anticipation of using these types of paint.
Regular emulsion on the other hand covers faults on the wall, so far it's not too significant.
Still it's a matter of preference and budget. But I would recommend at least matte emulsion if the problem is with sheen finish.

PS: matte and silk paints have low to little fillers and give flatter and smoother finish.

POP moulding plaster( ABS, JK..) + POP emulsion paint + bond for internal screeding while you can use ordinary cement + POP emulsion paint + bond for your external screeding.

There are many Ma; ABS, JK...you can easily get which one you want in the market thou quality differs.

Cement+ POP emulsion paint+ Bond/Gum.

You can use ordinary cement for your external wall screeding to blend with your plastering, and white for the internal wall as it reflects more light.
