Fire of all you said - Software engineering is not to make some one a maths professor or pure computer scientist, that it's to prepare to develop mission critical, business critical and life critical application. Please can you tell me any life critical, missions critical, or life critical application that 60 to 80% of it's development is not all maths? There other day you were mentioning critical systems like spaceships, rockets, and core banking applications, please tell me which of those types of companies will employ you without a good Mathematics background? or you think it's HTML, CSS and JavaScript? React and Angular? Bro you're just too dumb to become even a web developer, not to talk of a SWE.

Why do you think i didn't even respond to the guy? He doesn't like to take corrections and he feels he knows something when truely his brain is empty. I'm even sure he just copied that rubbish from somewhere. If i had replied him i know he would always have one nonsense or the other to respond with and the conversation would go on forever, that's why i just jejely refused to answer him, let him continue to feel like a boss in his olodo-ness. Yeah, but also in some cases when Indians & Pakistanis are involved in smaller companies, I've seen them giving the proposed tech questions to their fellow Indian applicants prior to the interview. They do this thing underground a lot with their own people, some of those interviews are not on a fair playing field with everyone.

At big companies average interview stages is around 6 stages with at least 3 technical interviews. Smaller companies have 3 to 4 with one or two technical interviews stages.

Naaaah bruv. Let's disabuse our mindset like this. Is it harder to get now with serious reduction in remote work? Yes. But I assure you it has nothing to do with "connection" (nepotism). One of the Telnyx guys had been working on Freeswitch (a telephony software) for sometime, contributing several modules to another software that relies on Freeswitch. All open source. When you put in the effort, it pays in the end. Not all employers are like Nigerian employers. Tons of them hire based on competence.

Recently stumbled across some Nigerian guys working for Telnyx as devs. Glass door suggests they may be pulling in around $100k per annum although I think it's closer to $84k. These are direct full-time employees, not Independent Contractors like us.
