Lanretoye: So if they do health reform people no go for again or what?,even the doctors and medical practitioners worst and needs reforms, most of them done want to attend to patients but will refer them to their personal hospitals. If government fail to build standard hospitals, your association can come together and work out means to provide of draw foreign investors in to the system, but you prefer to go and be their consultant for your own personal gain.who see them talking will think the love Nigerians, government refinery fail but dangote built refinery very all Nigerians Dey benefit today. See how you are comfortably rationalizing poor leadership, why should government fail to build standard hospitals for themselves and fellow Nigerians? Truly, for some of you, your minds cannot process that providing quality public healthcare system is the responsibility of the government and you see nothing wrong when these same politicians travel abroad for their medical care. |

Most Nigerian elected politicians and their cronies don't even have faith in the health system they claim to have invested massively in.
Coming to London to waste public funds in search of high quality medical care, will remain a reflection of Buhari’s failed presidency. |

Gryffindor: Yes relapse happens in some cases, but there are success rates as well. But given up on them shouldn't be an option It is not about giving up on them but them wanting to truly redirect their lives. I have worked in rehab units of psychiatric facilities and first hand observed the revolving doors of chronic relapse, majorly by those who were forced into it. The key point is, they need to buy in, for that rehab to mean something to them. |

FreeStuffsNG: You should get the education since you have access to internet.
That you don't know that China imposed draconian policies to achieve it and had strict one-child policy is particularly inexcusable. Go and read about the minority Islamic ethnic group, Uyghurs and how Beijing forced them into a concentration camp to force them to become literate
The question you should have asked is if you will not turn around and call our leaders foul names the moment they take the China route. If Canada is brought up with her 99%, you will also come up with another excuse, citing big land mass and the STUFFS! I guess the low literacy rate in Nigeria should be because our leaders are benevolent as the only route to achieving high literacy rate is through concentration camps.😂😂😂 Nigeria has low investment in education, just as we have leaders who are not passionate about education, as long as their own children receive private and expensive education. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Top Ten African Countries With The Highest Literacy Rates-shehu Sani by Mindlog: 8:38am On Jul 14, 2025 |
FreeStuffsNG: Very misleading but I don't blame him. He is not a numbers guy.
Population of Seychelles is 119,773 and actual population of educated people is 115K.
That paltry number is far less than the population of educated people in in some compounds in Nigeria so comparing such two countries is a statistical fallacy. What is your excuse for China with an adult literacy rate of about 97%? |

selfmadeOLX: Why are people not looking into Early Childhood Education and Secondary School Educational with specific STEM courses to study. Teachers are valuable anywhere and should get CoS no? Many had/have the mindset of let me first enter the UK, with just any course then find my way from there, while some are genuinely not just aware of such opportunities. I work in children and family services, I can boldly say boroughs across London are under staffed in that sector and continually recruiting. |
