Ruth Dashed me Money for New Year

If I was ever told this would happen, I'd say it's a lie. It'd be a big fat lie cause of all the people that I'd expect to dash me money, Ruth doesn't come close. She can't even enter the top 20 and yet she did.

I'm just as shocked cause our relationship is nothing to write home about. It's not even worth calling a relationship

Truth is, I met Ruth when I was in 100lv. And those days I knew she liked me so much. But you know, as per normal correct guy, we no dey too like anyone wey like us.

It's not that she's not a pretty girl o, she is but then that time I had my eyes on another babe. And to be honest, Ruth was not that fine to me then.

I totally avoided and ignored her. I remember the times we'd be walking together and she'd try holding my hands on the road. I dey everly shaparly comot am. No be me you go put inside entanglement

But funny enough, she did. It was just like a giveaway. It was because to me it was something that really surprised me and helped me.

I couldn't forgive myself easily on Ruth's matter, so I usually check her status from time to time. I was like a stalker basically (don't judge me, we all have our shortcomings).

But something happened one day. I checked her status as usual and I discovered the source of her wealth. She was talking about how she struggled with her business initially and how she started making waves.

Let me tell you What happened to my smart Friend, Tolu.

When he started his little business in 2011, He didn't do any statistical surveying. He never knew if he will love that business, no strategy for success or a paty and consumption structure even the rule issue was to keep up the market.

From the first day he accepted control over the company. He got exhausted and overweight with work and unnecessary utilization that he has not masterminded.

It came as a shock to him, so he started getting frustrated and dissatisfied.

After a couple of months, he had lost the vitality for that business. He was at the verge of giving up!

What Later Happened? The Business Failed

He was limited by what he could see! He didn't have any money to do the notoriety of the enterprise, and there was no business.

He didn't have enough cash to buy the stock to offer, was missing rent instalments for the business premises.

He couldn't make the public supplies to poor worldwide customers, and it felt like a disaster. They had one staff, and that staff abused their short comings.

Hi, my name is Oreoluwa and I'm not a graphics designer but I make lots from graphic design. How do I do this? I'll share that pretty soon but I would like you to know a little about me first.
Basically I am a guy (that's only lighter mood anyways).

Currently, I'm in my penultimate year in the University of ibadan and my course of study...

For those who are really curious for those, I study Nutrition and dietetics and believe me it's a pretty tough course as simple as it sounds.

Let's just leave it at that. Now back on track I make money online via a lot of sources by running a very simple business model I simply connect people.

Remember I told you I'm not a graphic designer but I still make money from it?

What I simply do is connect people.

Although, I have a small knowledge of graphic design but I'm not that good with it.

Even if I was school work wouldn't allow me to design. I'm a serious student and I put my studies first.

So what I do is get jobs and look for a reliable person to do it for me. I pay him then get paid without doing any work. Sweet right?

Yeah it is, my only challenge was the reliable person. I met a guy named Peter, a very good graphic designer and business was smooth as far as I was concerned.

Peter was good I must admit. He knew this design work well and he made me some money. Honestly I would have ignorantly settled for Peter if this particular event never happened.

So what happened? I almost lost money.
I started out with getting small design work and making a profit of 2000 to 4,000 per design.

It was a very smooth flow of income and all I needed was just to operate WhatsApp and sometimes call. That was it.

However something happened one day. I finally got a big job and it was a branding job for a new company just planning to launch.

As I was recommended by one of my clients, I thought I'd finally hit the jackpot.

This job was a contract job to make me 60k in profit per month and I was going to pay to Peter 40K. It was my first job of 100k online without doing Yahoo or Ponzi.

I was the happiest guy.

The company gave me a deadline to submit my design and this was in 10 days 10 days was more than enough for me because I trust my guy Peter, he go sharparly run am.

Informing Peter, I sent him 20K immediately so he could speed things up and promised to balance in later.

Mind you, I pay him with my money because I was so sure he would deliver. The company was only going to pay up on sending them the design this was my biggest mistake.

A buying Audience in "Lay-man terms", is an audience who buys from you.

-A buying audience is one who engages regularly with your status views and make relevant conversation and comments on post.
-A buying Audience is one who likes and shares your content.
-Finally Buying Audience are strangers not your family and close friends.


I see a lot of Entrepreneurs, business owners, Digital marketers, make the mistake of:
-Having beautiful Products,

-Creating & writing amazing Contents,

-Providing the cheapest and most affordable service,

-Paying the best Graphics Designer to brand your business

But not focusing on building an audience

_No one will buy_

Mind you, your Mum, dad, siblings and unserious set of friends who don't understand what you do are not your buying audience.



Building a buying Audience means building an audience of strangers who are ready to pay you without asking for family discount.
I don't know you, you don't know me but I can make you trust me and I'll sell to you.

That is audience building.

And the best time to start building an audience is the minute you decide to

One way to build a NON BUYING AUDIENCE is

Through contact gain


This has become a popular yet unimpressive method of building whatsApp audience.


That's why you check your contact list to see over 5000 contacts

And you begin wonder why you have less than 50 persons viewing your status without any engagement.

And you Begin to question yourself:

what's wrong?

Where did I make mistake.?


The mistake you made was not wanting to go through the process of audience build by joining GAIN TRAIN

They don't know you, you don't know them

DM MARKETING
That is, messaging someone you share a group in common,

Telling him your name what you do and asking for your number to be saved while.

This method is extremely time consuming since you have to spam over 200+ persons while hoping to get a reply.

In fact, I have personally ignored some persons for reaching out to me that way.


It would sound like you're begging people.


You'll be at their mercy and you can't sell to them due to the perception you've given off about your brand by spamming unknown people with unwanted message.

It's also a less effective in build a buying Audience on WhatsApp.
A lot of persons ignore those kind of messages and find it offensive.

It also reduces your perceived value as a brand owner/ service provider.

Your profitability on the online space is largely dependent on your visibility


Any thing you want to do or sell on this online space you need that audience.


New Opportunities open up everyday for you to jump on.


But when you think of it, most of those Opportunities require you to have a good number of audience.
Now, if sending message or joining gain train is not an effective strategy in building a buying Audience on WhatsApp,


What strategy is then effective�‍♂️
Let's take affiliate marketing for example.

Affiliate Marketing is simply the practice of promoting the products or services of another person without having to create your's in exchange for a commission on the resulting sale.

Assuming after your negotiation, you reach an agreement of 20% commission on every human hair sold.

While still promoting the product at 82,000+ as a retailer.

So that’s over N16,000 on every sale made

Selling 5 of that is N80,000
Now understand that

What you are doing is to bring a customer and get them to buy

So you can focus on building an audience around that product.

Let's use this analogy
Someone is selling let's say human hair for N80,000 (big time seller)

And she needs more buyers for these products.

You don't have a product but you have an audience to market her product to.

You can simply enter an agreement with the brand owner to promote her Product with your business name.

To make N100,000 in a week is easy.

Create and offer or sell a product of N1000 to 100 persons

Create an offer or sell a product of N2000 to 50 persons.

Create an offer or sell a product of N5000 to 20 persons.


_All boils down to you having the audience to sell to._
Building your audience make it easy for you to make money on this online space.

You hear people say they made 6-7 figures selling on WhatsApp only.

That can only be done with good number of buying audience.
