Him try nah, what of this guy?

LAS VEGAS -- A British man who sold all his possessions, including his clothes, stood in a rented tuxedo Sunday surrounded by family and friends and bet everything on a single spin of the roulette wheel.

He won't go home empty handed.

Ashley Revell, a 32-year-old Londoner, sold all his possessions in March, took $135,300 to the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, did some low-stakes gambling and then placed everything he had left on "red."

The wheel was spun, a crowd of supporters including his Mum and Dad from London went wild, the ball bobbled over the slots and landed on Red 7 -- and Revell walked away with $270,600.

Me sef bet 300k (Naira o, I never see dollar before o) on 2 odd game some years back, I won! wink

This Violence must STOP with immediate effect.

With a stern voice and in a strict manner, addressing the evil ones among the Fulani herdsmen,
This is what our darling Daddy should come out to say in few hours from now on National TV.

I am a cattle rearer myself.
I have cattles.
That is my business,
And that is your livelihood also.
I do not support killings, kidnappings, raping of Nigeria Citizens.
For the evil ones amongst you going about causing violence, whatever you see, you should live with it, cos right now,
I will send out the Army to fish you bad eggs all out and protect my innocent citizens in their communities.

No Violence act will be encouraged under my watch.

And for the ones killing and burning innocent citizens businesses.
Destroying the properties of people that have been living in peace with you for many years, people going about their businesses legitimately, we will come for you also.

And this will be my final warning to everyone causing mayhem and Violence in this nation.

God bless Nigeria.

I Rise!

Idiots. So who is not a Nigerian cannot own sim card to make calls. Nigeria case is a case of when they discover new way of blocking the illegal, the people will still discover another way. Don't panic update must come. This is not the solution. First they need to kill corruption only then they can make progress.
That's too precious for them to give it up. Every other thing can wait.

The idea is okay but the deadline is unrealistic.
I guess the aim is to improve security and identity verification.

However, phones get stolen and sims get misplaced. It is advisable to report these incidents to your mobile network provider to avoid any implication.

If only you knew how disorganised our system was. When you have incapable people in position of authority you know what to expect, nothing works.

Please and please when it is about evicting ur tenant please and please don't use a lawyer. Most lawyers not all will use u and play ball. I just evicted someone 2 days ago this is the same person a lawyer collected almost 150k and was still asking me to pay more.
I wet straight to the judge and he adviced on what to do. Go to a magistrate court and tell them ur challenge and tell them u don't have a lawyer.
Please don't use a lawyer. I did that and within 2 hours they sent a representative to follow me to the house and issue a one week letter to the person. The judge told me most lawyers will get money from u and still meet the tenants to collect money.

Good to know.

Have you served them a quit notice? Also maybe you might have to go to a mediation center so that they will invite them for a round table discussion, the outcome will help you decide if you go to court or not.
But make you serve them a quit notice and also make sure that they acknowledge a copy for you

Should they fail to acknowledge a copy in order to further frustrate you, what happens?

It is I'll timed but long overdue and necessary. Terrorists , bandits and kidnappers are really having a field day with these illegally registered SIMs.
Kidnappers will call you 3 or 4 times and they can't be traced at the end of the day because of fake details.

Not true. If authorities really want, such can be traced even without the registration details.

Found the attached on Na.ira me.tric. I think these are mainly Fund II (under age 50) but I am not too sure.

I don’t know much about the NLPC that had 52% returns but they seem to be doing very well. AXA Mansard and Investment One are also very good.

Everyone I know uses Stanbic but I am disappointed in their performance. They have good customer service though.

Many thanks Brother.

I understand my Oga. The difference though is that civil servants were entitled to pensions (called defined benefit pension plans) where you get a certain amount of money after working for some years. It was the government’s responsibility to just pay the pensioners from their account. Unfortunately, corrupt people like Maina and his goons chopped the money plus our government is too broke (and corrupt) to even make up. That’s why Babas no dey see pension collect.

But under the new plan (defined contribution), money is taken from salaries and given to investment houses and pension funds chosen by staff. And these pension funds invest the money on our behalf until retirement. Similar to the 401k in Yankee and other plans in developed countries.

It is our responsibility to choose what pension funds we want to invest our money for us so we need to be careful with this choice. I can list a couple that are doing well but I no want anyone to come insult me again so I will pass. Mind you, it is the same guys that handle our mutual funds that handle these investments so they actually know what they are doing.

Trust me sir, this lazy youth generation of workers will not suffer the fate of those old babas wey dey queue and die waiting to collect pension. Especially if they are maxing out on voluntary contributions and also making other retirement investments (buying house, Tbills, bonds and as Oga Emmanuel says holding stocks long term).

Ps: I don’t know if the government workers will still be receiving pensions but i know they are making contributions to the pension funds.

Please name them if you don't mind.

I said it there was something very depleted about your thinking. So the protests should have continued till now and inflation should have become worse and the more of the prisons broken up so there will be more criminals on the streets? You really have a problem. Irrational thinking can never be cured, not even with education.

Don't mind them my dear.

I'm surprised u ended up firing a salvo in the wrong direction. Could it be that u never understood what was written by CNN?

U went completely astray by dragging IPOB into the issue, evidentially relying on recorded audio messages to assuage your position even though arrests made so far had the Yorubas in numbers, being responsible for wanton destruction of properties in Lagos.

Again, u decided to show your knack for tribalism by stating that those who destroyed Lagos were responsible for same destruction in Benin and Rivers without solid prove to back it up.

Nigerians like you are the reason why the govt can do anything and get away with it because the oppressors do have minions like u to defend their savagery.

Arguing with people paid the govt to speak the way they do? Enjoy the ride but never expect anything meaningful from them, they are part of the corrupt system in case you don't know. They make you believe fellow citizens from other tribes are your enemy to divert attention from the evil they do at helm of affairs.
