plaindealer: .
They don't have a Metro rail in the whole of Kenya, what they have is a commuter railway.
All the things you listed are false representation, there is nothing like functional water system in Kenya, they don't even have enough under the ground, 50% of the people lack access to water, they drink dirty and filthy water. . whatever that's built in Nairobi did not come from the City of Nairobi, it comes from Kenya as a country, Lagos is a state, not a country.
What you have is called fake facts. We are talking of making people accountable you are here defending corruption. Even your picture shows 50% of Nairobians enjoy pipe-borne water. The only area you'll see such in Lagos is Ikoyi, VI, Ikeja and some parts of Yaba Even the pipes in Surulere are all gone. I'm speaking of African cities you're say Kenya. I choose Nairobi because it IGR is very low compared to Lagos and you're still shamelessly defending this corrupt system. The IGR of Lagos alone is higher than that of Kenya, talk more of Nairobi! Metro line / Metro gauge are all semantic. Is there a rail line in Lagos ( made by with State or Federal) that can get you from one part of it to another? While the whole of Kenya is eyeing $45m in revenue lagos is already making #418b. Convert that to dollars at even #500 and see the gap between Lagos and the whole of Kenya. My conclusion is, it's people that think like you do that make our politicians act the way they do. Most of us aren't holding them to a higher standard .

plaindealer: The fact that you asked that question means you are likely not a Lagosian.
How come we don't see this kind of question when Lagos state commission projects, or when we post pictures of all the wonderful projects they commission? Or the money they fund the projects with falls from the tree?
Was it not the same funds they are constructing the 2 metro rail line with? What about the housing estates, Imota the largest rice mill in sub Africa, roads and bridges, including the best and the most beautiful bridge in Nigeria, the Lekki Ikoyi bridge that Nollywood can not wait to show in all their movies and shows?
I guess people like you have selective brains and eyesight, you only see when it convenient and blind when it's time to be mischievous. Ikoyi bridge! You dont know jack about developmental strides. This is not about insulting someone because you lack facts. Read and be reformed. Even Nairobi that that has lower IGR compared to Lagos has functional water system, metro line, constant power, functional public transportation. Which of these does Lagos have?

Dsalvo: Why don't you name them? Even Nairobi that that has lower IGR compared to Lagos has functional water system, metro line, constant power, functional public transportation. Which of these does Lagos have? Do you even know that Lagos state is the fastest growing city in the WORLD? How are our corrupt politicians preparing for the population? Do they have any short term and long term strategy to complement the future prospects? Or are they just concern about continuous stay in power ?

seguno2: Please can someone, anyone fault this excellent submission Any volunteer? This is my argument too but you must admit that, in Nigeria, our options of good leaders are limited. And ironically, Nigerians are only fixated on choosing among the bad leaders. The options we give ourselves are always between a thief and an incompetent dunce. The other better options, which are lesser parties, Nigerians will never notice them |

Dsalvo: Have you asked what your SE Governors have done with the IGR that "ultimately" comes out of the pockets of Igbos?
Lagos you remain obsessed with maligning is good enough to be the biggest home of Igbos in the entire universe outsidey your SE domain.
Yet who wants to relocate to wretched SE that your governors have horribly mismanaged and turned into no-go deadland zones? Please, leave East alone. If they like let them enslave their generation. I am Yoruba and I live in Lagos. Where are all these monies? I mean, these are recorded IGR. And you and I know that only half of what Lagos generates is recorded. Let's ask the relevant questions and stop all these irrational argument |

DOTian: The federal government should stop giving Lagos State any sort of monthly allocations unless as relief funds for say any sort of reasonable natural disasters.. The federal government has already helped Lagos to build up solid infastructure base more than any other state bar Abuja. This has given Lagos enough headstart in terms of monthly/yearly tax incomes bigger than that of most west African countries. I don't know why they will be dragging paltry allocations with the likes of Plautue, Osun or Ebony afterwards...
Many west African States are handling mega projects bigger than whatever Fashola or Sanwo Olu have done in Lagos State. Yet Lagos earns bigger revenue but will always be comparing herself with tiny Nigerian states. If the people of Lagos State are not willing to take actions to extricate themselves from the evil grip of the Tinubu odious dynasty, they should be forced to stew in their own juice! We can't be sharing our tiny oil money with some drug lord and his platoon of rampaging evil oligarchs.. Pls.. Thank you my brother This is what I usually say but most Nairalanders haven't been to other African cities to see real project with real impacts of the people |

With the level of fund available for Lagos government Kwara is still trumping it on the development scare. Are you saying Lagos is fully developed?

Tokskob2008: Out of the 36 states governors i can pick just 3 that are actually doing fine. Sanwo olu Zulum Wike The rest are just nonsense or utterly nonsense depending on which category they fall in. Among the three, only Zulum is doing fine. With the amount of fund at the disposal of Wike and Sanwo olu and looking at other African city with same IGR as Lagos, Sanwo olu and past Lagos governors ought to be in prison |

GeneralDae: Okay statistically as we see, Poland cannot be compared to Nigeria in terms of opportunities but my point is that from my personal experience with Polish citizens in Germany, how they populate the job market, and what a few have told me, the opportunities do not abound. So I speak from the viewpoint that even citizens relocate enmass from Poland and so foreigners may also not find it that easy. But clearly I was wrong about opportunities in Poland in comparison to Lagos Nigeria. These all steam from the fact that what will satisfy a Nigerian as a good job will certainly not be so for a Polish. So to a Nigerian, Poland is okay |

Any church that spilled hatred from the pulpit against anyone or tribe, incite people against constituted authority, lump unfounded conspiracy theory to arouse sentiment, count me out.
The conviction i have had as a Christian is that of love and not of hate, for God is love. So anything outside this is heretical to me. God is Love but He is quick to anger against oppressor of the downtrodden. God with certainty deal with Buhari and co |

Same with clubs, you can claim a fictional drunk spent millions. |
