This is part of my argument why all loan apps should come to a total stop.
Your case might be seen as an isolated case but when someone views it with an open mind, it's another fact why loan apps should not even exsist at all.

Loan apps solves no reasonable issues, they just mess up your finances and disrupt financial system. Trust me
Omo like this i don learn lesson…not that i was even needing any loan from them self…my mistake was leaving the app on my phone since i wasnt using it again….I thought it wise that loan is a very stupid financial decision…and i just finished paying them a 30k i i took in April in the month of June or so, so deleting my account with them and deleting the app was my next move, then boom the unfortunate happened

Opay or Palm pay would do a face verification before such amount is borrowed
First thing is to block the line immediately
Bro trust me Opay(Easimonie) no dey do face verification again, the only thing they do is either dey decline the request or grant you the loan.

Trust me its so complicated and depressing, but i chose to wave it off and engage myself on things i love doing, cos if i start to think wetin happen that night it will affect my mental alertness, for your info, i have been borrowing phone to use since that July, i just bought a brand new phone in September ending….i have been using a friends spare phone since that July 30th.
That period i knew police people are very heartless, it was the first time in my life im entering a police station and to lodge a complaint…Police just dey bill me mad money that period just to help me so something about it and this is after i have put down my complaint in their police report sheet ooo

Either you are paying for some sin, or you are paying for something great the universe is bringing your way. Set your heart to pay up that loan, the universe will direct you. After paying it, forget about the matter, sit back and watch what is going to happen.
Omo this one is religiously deep ooo, “paying for some sin”🤦🏻🤦🏻🙆🏼‍♂️🙆🏼‍♂️😂😆….

Ogbeni this your story dey hard me to believe, because the story get kleg. I noticed some red flags which are:

1)July 30 na Thursday no be Friday, I assume July 2026.

2) Something like that happened to you, but 5 days later, your mouth strong kokoroko like Tegwolo own, dey argue football for Afcon thread here on NL, normally body no suppose weak you?

3)For a loan as high as that fairmoney dey mostly ask for head rotation, even Opay dey sometimes ask for head rotation when I dey transfer such amount to a completely new account.

4)You give them your devices passwords, how them take know your fairmoney password, Opay password, and transfer pin?

5)Weytin happen wey you no fit post about am then, but dey argue football that period, na now day break?
Okay make i calm down answer you.
To your Number 1 point(i may have mixed the date wrongly yeah it was on July 30th on a Thursday night so my bad on that, at least the gmail msg i sent to their customer care the next day i retrieved my sim card is an evidence of date it happened)

To your number 2 insult(na you get your mouth talk as you like), but i will put it to you for the fact i was robbed 5days earlier should not make me to start mourning like who lost a loved one for eternity, and mind you that was post-world cup and pre-wafcon period, so becos i was plunged into a financial set back i put my life activities on hold both offline and online(if e reach your turn you fit print flier for date of mourning loss of phone and money theft)

3. To your Number 3 point: im a regular loaner and i pay immediately on the due date of repayment, they have been flashing that 200k at me and even calling me on phone to borrow it, but i have been giving them response that i dont need such outrageous loan that the interest was crazily high… meanwhile when i retrieved my sim their customer care was the first i called that friday night to blast them why they couldnt do a face verification before granting such loan, their empathized with me and told me that i was eligible to borrow the money since they did not notice any unauthorized or forceful login into the app.

Now to your Number 4 interrogation: Prior to that day my phone password happens to be my fairmoney password, im sure they must have tried the password on all my financial app, cos i saw they also entered my opay account which is same password but na only 1k dey d opay, they also tried to loan from my(Easimonie)on opay, but opay declined them by saying they should try again in 5days time. I have all my huge savings on firstbank but i dont have first bank app on my phone for them to break into

To your number 5: im not a fan of Nairaland business forum, i just come on Nairaland super eagles page to argue and also add my own opinions to the page, not until yesterday night i saw a related post on google talking about Loan, Scam, high interest bla bla bla, i decided to click on the page and lo and behold i saw so many posts relating to things that has happened to me, so i decided to create a post.
The 200k loaned in my name is something i MIGHT consider paying back, but i just say let me hear people’s take here on Nairaland business forum.

Once again baba, dem rob me off some huge loan amount no mean say make i no move on with life on something i like doing, e no concern you if i argue like tegwolo, na loan anomalies i carry come here, my activities on super eagles page no concern you….stop monitoring people and thinking everyone lies you think

Hello Nairaland
On the 29th of July i was robbed at weapon point around Ikeja on a Thursday night returning from church.
These criminals collected my two phones and powerbank, forced me to give them my device passwords. I managed and reached home with the last cash on me and started using my neighbors phone to call my close ones to tell them of what happened. The next day(Fri 30th) i went to retrieve my SIM card to insert into a friends phone to open log into some apps, so i inserted the SIM card around 6pm in the evening as directed by the simcard providers which was when the sim will be activated . Lo and behold😭😭😭 i started receiving gmail notifications that my Fairmoney app has been used to borrow 200k to pay back 99k in 4months thats a total of 397k.
I went to ikeja that week to make police report but from desk to desk of different police personnel i met at Area F Ikeja started to task me on money to pay to help treat the issue, i dont have these monies i had to abort the move and move on.
But i am still bothered about the loan adding in my name.
How can i pay a loan i did not take😭😭, i have borrowed 30k earlier in may from Fairmoney and i paid them back transparently without any hitch.
Now this situation what do I do?🤲🏻🤲🏻😭😭😭

Modifiedsadpls on Thursday was actually on the 30th of July, pls my bad on the date mix up)

when was the last time you play worldcup? Drc congo we could not beat is it not neutral ground?
Oga shiii happens anytime anyday, Yess we did not play world cup we don hear, but they(DRC) are still not better than us.
2006 we also missed out on world cup with some exciting super eagles players playing in top clubs aswell….

From the onset of 2026 qualifiers we dont deserve to be at the world cup…that play off we qualified to was to let you know that the boys started getting their winning mentality back together again, which came late and also meeting a DRC team that almost won their group stage and also pumped up to qualify to their first world cup since after they change their name from Zaire to DRC.
We took the lead, they equalized and won on penalties even after Nwabali making saves upon saves to keep us in the race but Ajayi,Moses and Bassey got their penalties missed.
DRC! THEM NO BETTER PASS US

Na because of Diomande playing for Madrid make people dey intimidate us for here abi🤣🤣…abegii make we hear word….Let a serious outfit super eagles catch that Ivorian team in an afcon neutral ground…baba we go too beat them….
The quality in Super eagles is stronger than that of CIV….
People here want to be counting super eagles starting 11 with all players playing in psg,barca,arsenal,mancity,madrid…..

Super eagles shuld just help me beat Tanzania home and away in November and keep that 3points close tab on GNB(thats if they can even survive their own Madagascar double header fixtures sef) and then we welcome them on match day 6 in uyo…lets see how far.

Make we meet all this una Madrid Diomande for Afcon on a neutral ground in Uganda/Tanzania/Kenya lets see how far….
Madrid and Barca wey Chukwueze don use shine tire for Laliga una dey use intimidate us

I disagree with you completely on that statement. Nigeria's problem is administrative issues. I will take the Nigeria keeper over Morocco or Senegal. I will take Nigerian centre backs over Morocco and Senegal. I will take Nigeria right back, Ola Aina, over Senegal right back. Forget hype, Alex Iwobi is one of the most underrated SE players in history. I will take Alex Iwobi in that CM role over whatever Morocco or Senegal has to offer. Currently, both Senegal and Morocco are clearly better than us in the midfield area. An Inform Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze are on the same level as anything Senegal or Morocco can offer in that winger position. Victor Oshimhen is significantly better than anything Morocco or Senegal have to offer. People, you guys are understimating Nigeria too much here. Nigeria was a penalty kick away from back-to-back Afcon finals, and they were not even a host on either occasion. Nigeria's failure to qualify for the World Cup was a combination of an administrative blunder and a poor attitude from players who completely underestimated their opponents. Go back and watch the Nigeria vs. Losotho game in Uyo and see how arrogant our players were. They were missing clear-cut chances and were smiling, thinking that the goals would eventually flow in like a broken dam. If Eric Chelle were the SE coach, we would have been at the last World Cup.
Afcon 2023 and 2025(we were so unlucky to have lost those games against the host nation, its not easy beating an african powerhouse host nation

Algeria 1990(Algeria meeting us 2wice to beat us)

Tunisia 2004(even with our top guys like Jayjay,Kanu,Utaka,Osaze etc, Tunisia still found a way to eliminate us in semifinal)

Ghana 2008: we still could not beat Ghana in the knockout stage at home

If we had met Senegal in that semifinal, omo forget since they are not the host, we for comot them for road.

In 2023 beating CIV in group stage and meeting them again in the final esp having seen that they were on some fairytale run to the final, omo e go hard to beat that rejuvenated spirit from players and home fans oo.
Give Jpes another team aside CIV in that Final we for carry that cup

In the national team, we won't really see Onyedika's best until we pair him with a midfield partner with a profile close to Stankovic who partnered him at Club Brugge..
Not sure we have such a profile yet
We could try pairing him with Nnadi
That might work

The Fisayo/ Onyedika partnership worked against Mozambique at the AFCON as well, but we all know Mozambique is not a strong side..

I agree with you, Chelle should find a way to bring Onyedika into the team

We need to move away from Ndidi and Onyeka as mainstays
If Mozambique catch Guinea Bissau, na beaten those Guinea Bissau go receive

Fernandez is a good defender, but you see that equalizer yesterday, his slow reactions was just giving "Semi Ajayi" vibe....The reason why some of Bewene's lapses was not that evident was becos of how lively and hustling he appeared to be.....I personally dislike any player with sluggish body movements...then if you want to be sluggish in your body movements then be an "Iwobi" with eagles eye passes, be an "Iheanacho" with good goal sense

Now our main Koko now is not to even wish G/Bissau bad luck in their games..let us just do a back to back 2wins in November..it's possible to win Tanzania home and away and keep the 3pts close tab on Guinea Bissau, we went to Rwanda and beat them, they still came to uyo and collect beating )..... I wish Madagascar good luck sha...they have 1point, they just need one win in their double header vs Guinea Bissau to keep the group open, yes they can do it🤪🤪
