We are also assured that there is a way of escape with every trial. The way of escape is always the same, and that is the cross. If we would go to the cross and die to ourselves, our own ambitions, and the cares of this world, which are usually the roots of our trials, we would immediately find a peace that goes beyond human understanding. We are called to be dead to this world (see Galatians 6:14). What can the world do to a dead man? It is impossible for a dead man to feel rejected, abused, taken advantage of, or be concerned with loss. If we would go to the cross daily with all that we are and have, we would be the most free people the world has ever seen. If we would go to the cross and die to our own interests every day, we would also be free to love without reservation. Love that is not self-centered is not controlled by the fear of pain or loss. Neither does this love try to control the object of our love. Just as there could be no resurrection without there first being a death; there can be no victory without a battle. Like the tests we take in school to go on to higher levels, every test we endure in our lives is so we can go on to higher levels of maturity in the Lord. We should see every test as a great opportunity. The greater the test, the greater the opportunity. Always remember that regardless of how dark it seems to get, the light will certainly come, just as surely as the sun will rise every day. Rick Joyner |

Why should a Christian endorse Buhari; a man who was happy when my Christians brothers were killed because he lost election? You are being carried away by propaganda. Who told u Buhari will perform better than Gej? Is it God? Or are u just writing because others are writing? Don't mind him. Jonathan is corrupt, what about Tinubu, ameachi, obj, atiku and every other person backing Buhari, are they not corrupt too? |

Lol, see as the so called Bishop stylishly avoid saying that "Jesus was crucified and resurrected ". I trust He dare not say that! The man is only saving his skin, no true Christian, Bible believing Christian will ever say "Allahu Akbar ",let alone say it in church! It's like telling a Muslim to say "Jesus is Lord! |

FrancisTony: My take about this issue; it's obvious that GEJ & GMB are two evils. Why are Nigerians being dumb and myopic. Imagine someone saying that he'd choose the lesser evil.
GEJ- He's clueless and incompetent and i'll never vote him.
GMB- APC is a fraud party selling fraudlent idea to us. There pseudo-change is arrant nonsense. If you believe so much in change, there are many Northern islamic politicians who would do that, not Buhari. Aren't we leaders of tomorrow? He once failed and you're still rooting for him.
QUESTION FOR THE DAY- Is Buhari and Jonathan the only aspirants vying for the presidential seat? Isn't it high time we started seeing beyond PDP and APC gibberish.
Lord have mercy- We are our own problem.... Interestingly, That's what I was discussing with someone, are there no other parties apart from apc and pdp? Are we saying that there are no other credible individual in other parties? |

So because it's a Muslim state, other people should be shut out? Other people who doesn't accept Islam should be killed? I believe you will say Turkey is a Muslim state too. Very soon, the northern Nigeria will become a Muslim territory too. |

An0nimus: Nne you know me well. You worry about Nigeria is noted but I repeat what has already been said here - it will be extremely difficult to islamize Nigeria under a democratic setting. Talk of Buhari, Hope you know he was once a Military head of state? Have you wondered why he didn't Islamize Nigeria then?
Then again if Nigeria actually gets islamized what are Christians really scared of? Is it our sinful lifestyles being punished? less freedom to openly worship? Or are we scared of being martyrs for Christ?
What are we really scared of? Really? Are you actually asking this question? And do you think its about being scared? Sinful lifestyle being punished by who? Muslims? Are they in authority to punish christains for their sins? being martyred for Christ or being eradicated completely? Do you know what Christains in islam infested countries face? Iran, Iraq, Syria etc? so you actually think its about being scared? |

r231: Sorry for the late update. We have to make sure that we have all the facts and right information before putting anything out.
Update :
16 Jan 2015
As a reminder from the last update which was communicated before the end of the year, Hameed was referred to a cancer clinic in VI on suspicion of cancer while still on anti-tuberculosis medications.
The tests were not able to be carried out last year and for the first few days this year due to the holidays. They were however done last week
Samples of his blood was taken Tuesday 6/1/2015
CT scan done Friday 9/1/2015 The results of the tests got to us Monday 12/1/2015
Based on these results the diagnosis of the oncologist is that Hameed has been sick for a long while and has stage 4 cancer. This is quite unfortunate as it seemed there was some hope that he would pull through to full health.
The doctors working with us were sent the full test results (about 40 pages) and also acknowledged the complexity of the case considering blood tests seemed to show he was ok.
The hospital has sent the results in to their consultants at Rosewell Park Cancer institute, Buffalo NY for a second opinion
The oncologist has suggested a targeted form of chemotherapy as a means of ensuring quality of life as cure, at this stage, is impossible but quality of life can be managed.
For now, he has been placed on immune boosters and we are also in consultations as to the benefit of the chemo suggested.
Hameed and his family has been informed of this development and we are also working with them to make sure he is comfortable.
Thanks for your support and prayers on this case

Saying that Nigeria cannot be islamize is laughable. Jesus said we should watch and pray, we Christains have been doing neither, we have been sitting on the fence and this won't help us. Muslims are aggressive when it comes to politics because they believe it's the only way to dominate and have a say But we christains? May God help us. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Does Allah Heal The Sick? by Mintayo(m): 1:21pm On Jan 15, 2015 |
Abuamam: Actually, there are many documented cases of the Prophet (saw) healing sick people in the hadith. In fact, many more miracles were documented about him than the two dozen or so about Jesus in the new testament. However, muslims do not see miracles as a sign of anything in particular, and they are always de-emphasized. People who ask for signs can end up being deceived Be deceiving yourself, people are deceived because they do not know the truth neither are they willing to know the truth, such is the case of Muslims. Saying that your prophet did more miracles than Jesus shows you don't know what you are saying and talking with you is not worth It, |
