I love it when good services are applauded and/or poor services reprimanded. So I got this to share about my positive experience with Uber Lagos, Nigeria.

About Uber Nigeria

Uber Nigeria a digitalized Taxi service that lets luxurious car owners to monetize their leisure by registering their vehicles for Uber services. They normally accept 4-door vehicles from year 2005 upwards and charges users via the credit card that’s linked to their Uber account.

At the moment, their services in Nigeria is limited to Lagos and Abuja FCT, Nigeria metropolis.

My Positive Experience with Uber!

Few weeks back, I went on a business trip to Lagos and had to use the services of Uber Nigeria for movements within the city.

Prior to this trip, I had about NGN1,000 Uber credit left in my account. The credit was as a result of a user I refereed to their services.

While at Anthony taxi park, I booked for an Uber ride and was told that the available driver is just a few seconds away. I got a confirmation call from the driver who was actually not far away from where I was.

But then, there was an issue along the line. The Uber driver went to the wrong Anthony park (the one at GTB, while I was at VIO stand) and keep saying incoherent things on the phone.

After waiting for about 15 minutes (and sweating in the hot sun), I decided to cancel the trip and had Uber bill me for their NGN1,000 cancellation fee.

I immediately booked for another Uber driver that got the location aright and didn’t take as much time to arrive. While in motion, I contacted Uber CS about the ridiculous ₦1K charge as the driver was obviously at fault.

As if the 1k charge above wasn’t enough another bigger mess occurred. The new driver dropped me off at my location, yet the Uber app was still counting.

I called the driver to complain and also asked him to turn off the trip from his end. He confirmed it was already turned off on his device, but mine was still reading.

Mine didn’t stop reading until I turned on the mobile Wi-Fi device to support my data. I complained to Uber CS and got the biggest shock.

They did not only apologized, but refunded my ₦1k cancellation fee and the extra charges to my account. I was the more-shocked because I pushed them to the limit and got no insulting remarks, but resolves that really solved the various challenges.

In Summary

Uber Nigeria really got it right, judging from this particular experience. Would be lovely to see the other Nigerian companies treating the issue of customer care/support as a serious one.

Offline app should take the lead not online app, op these are all different version of a Bible, I was expecting different app, there is a single app that contains all these versions and more and it's offline.

For me, I was a victim too. It am too busy now to open a tread on how I was given a dead 2003 highlander by citihood. I paid 1.8M to citihood to deliver a car he claimed was almost toks only to be disappointed by what he delivered. I have never read any negative news here on NL about citihood and that's why I had the trust and confidence he would deliver as promised. The mileage he claimed was 146 was way far above it. The whole electrical components were not working. Fuel pump was bad. I paid him for tracking he never did it and has refused to refund me. He registered th car wrongly without engine number. In FRSC data base, the plate no is given to a V/wagen saloon car and had expired since 2013. Well, by next week I shall bring to light my whole dealings with citihood. I don't regret ever dealing with him but I want others to learn from me. I had trust on him but he disappointed.

1. Fasting energizes your spirit.

Well we had in a earlier post discussed on how to get speedy answers to prayers by praying the way Jesus taught us to pray. But there are certain issues that can only be resolved while you fast. Let’s look at this scripture.

In Mark 9:23-29 we saw Jesus heal a child who was possessed with deaf and dumb spirit. However, prior to that healing the disciples of Jesus had prayed for the young man with no success.

But after Jesus healed the man his disciples sort to know why they couldn’t do what he did. See his response. Mark 9:29 ‘And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.’

By implication, there are certain issues that won’t get solved until you fast and pray.

3. We earn God’s mercy when we fast.

We have mentioned that fasting is one sure way to humble your flesh and put your spirit in command. So as Christians, we can earn God’s mercy when we fast. It goes a long way to show Him that we truly regret our actions.

Countless number of times in scriptures we saw men like David, Ahab, obtain mercy by fasting. Similarly, in Jonah 3:1-10 we understand that God could no longer destroy Nineveh after they fasted.

In Conclusion:

You have seen some reasons you should fast and pray. So we urge you to take advantage of them in faith and see what God does. Keep in mind that your fasting doesn’t profit God but you.
