Find out from your state ID headquarters. That’s where I did mine and they took it to Lagos and gave me date to pick it up. It’ll just cost you extra but it’s worth the stress of going to Lagos

It’s supposed to be healing already. I don’t know about penicillin as I used petroleum jelly (Vaseline) for my son. Was the penicillin prescribed at hospital?

Changing depends on how often he urinates to make the diaper wet. You don’t necessarily need to change after each pee but when the diaper is visually wet. And six wet diapers per day is what pediatricians say shows your baby is having enough fluid

Thank you. I was just concerned about the the umbilical cord since it needs to be kept dry always for quicker healing.

Just keep it dry and don’t cover with diaper. Baby’s clothes are mostly cotton and allow easy airflow so nothing to worry about that.

Are you sure she’s getting enough milk. That could contribute. Does she wet up to 6 diapers daily? I’m advised to call the hospital if my baby doesn’t soil his diaper after 3 days. You may meet a pediatrician to confirm your baby is okay. You may also express the breastmilk that way you’ll know the quantity you produce at each feeding

Doesn't mean not to cover with cloth. Just don’t allow diaper cover it so air can circulate and keep it dry. Major thing is to keep it dry. I was advised not to use anything on it but if it looks dirty I should use water to clean and dry. It fell on day 7 or 8 I think though my mum was initially covering it with diaper until I told her not to when she started complaining it’s taking time to fall because we’re not cleaning

No experience with this. Do you massage her with warm water to be sure she’s not having pains? Hope you also don’t use water that’s too hot or too cold on her. Is your home cold? That could give her shiver too

We use AC 24 hours at home so what I do is cover baby if I’m cold. Just know the temperature you feel is same for your baby. Your baby is cold when you are and hot when you are. As for the cough, try vitamin C but if it’s serious or continues see a pediatrician.

Hospital gave me white petroleum jelly to apply on it at each diaper change with small gauze to cover it and it healed even before the navel fell. Though my son’s wasn’t ring

I used petroleum jelly. Bend a finger and apply small Vaseline on it, then press onto the navel to rub rotating it to touch all parts. That’s what my mum did and it didn’t take time to heal. As for pains, I don’t think there’s any associated pain

Just to add to what angeltolly said, use washcloth dipped in warm boiled water and pinch of salt. They dislike the cleaning process and cry alot. So kindly pay attention to LO while cleaning so u know when s/he has held breath for too long, when this happens, remove your hand from mouth and let them coordinate and catch their breath.

Why the salt pls? I was asked to clean with soft wash cloth dipped in water morning and night for healthy gum.

And it stayed , in the past I never made it past 12dpo but I’m 19dpo today and couldn’t be more grateful.
I test everyday for progression because of fear that it might disappear but God been faithful.
The test attached is 19dpo.
I bought the ovaboost but not sure I took it up to 10 days and only different thing I did was prayers n fastings.

Good morning about to conceive mothers and other sabi people. Trust we had a beautiful night sleep. I just discovered this thread and I hope I find solutions here.
I used to have itching in my outer vag from 5 months after my second baby, around April last Yr. I went to hospital and they said it is reaction, I was given something to apply and it stopped. Now this year it started again this year in Feb, I went to hospital in May they discovered candida albicans, I was given diflucan, two packets to be taken at two weeks intervals.
It didn't stop when I completed it, I went back again I was given a drug to insert and another to apply, with flagyl. I have completed it no improvement, pls is there any natural ways to treat it since medications did not work. I tried to conceive too from December to March and nothing happened, I don't know whether it is the cause, pls help me sabi mamas.

You may need to run another test to confirm the type of infection and treat with right antibiotics with dh. Also abstain during treatment. I think it returned because you both didn’t treat. It always does that. Also wash all undies with warm water or change to new ones if you can. You can try garlic insert in the vj to ease the itch or sit bath with ACV in warm water, unsweetened yoghurt robbed directly or eaten, Myco.ten is also good. But these are just for relief, for treatment you need to culture so as to know the antibiotics that will work on it.
