Hello house, been following this thread for a long time now and I find it greatly educative.
Please I need advice from experts. I am 15wks pregnant and for some days now I have been lacking appetite. Morning sickness is greatly reduced and nausea is greatly reduced but appetite is barely there. I drink water a lot though. I have increased appetite for water.
Is this normal? should I be worried?

I think it's absolutely normal to have increased appetite for water, Infact doctors do advice some to drink water like a fish about the lack of appetite Pls eat something no matter how small...

Tanx ma'am but u are not alone o...That was how DH ate d remaining food in my kitchen yesterday while I was asleep, although d man meant no harm cos we've both eaten our share and d remaining wasn't meant for anybody. Then, I woke up later in d evening to topple my tank wen I found d pot empty, na so I begin cry imm. I was so depressed and d man was doing his best to calm me but d more he calm, d more cry I cry (u can imagine me dey cry like baby cos of food )
Anyway, we concluded its preggy hormones and it will return to wherever it comes from with time

Na childhood hormone cause am no be your fault my sis

Welcome back mama, I don't even understand how its doing me now, the fear is taking over me and I don't know why, am getting depressed which is not good am just looking for a way to get over the depression and maybe it's part of the package... Protect us, our baby and our family members from all evil and dangers. 4 You are our refuge and our fortress. 5 For You, Lord, will give Your angels charge over us. Our God, in You we put our trust. During this time of waiting, help us to guard this new life carefully and do nothing to hurt it in any way.

Lord, Your word also says, 6 “Truly You have formed our innermost being. You have woven me in my mother’s womb. “According to Your Word, let our baby grow normally with all its requirements fulfilled. Take away all complications from our baby and us. Grant us and our baby good health. 7 Lord, let our baby be perfect as You are perfect.

Lord Jesus, You be present with us during all this time this baby grows and comes into this world. Lord Your Word says “8 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you. Please grant us a safe and normal delivery. Take away all blocks and barriers that are hindering this blessing in our life. Lord I also pray that You lead all pregnant women who are reading this prayer to safe and normal delivery. All this I ask in the name of Jesus, who is Lord of Life, now and forever. Amen.

Happy Sunday to all the expectant mothers in the house. Please help inform me, I don't know if my condition is normal or not. I am a first timer mother. Got my result last week but the rate at which I feel nausea is alarming, funny enough I don't vomit but the feeling to is so severe. It has given a great discomfort and I feel as if life is slowly choking out from me.


I met with a doctor who said nothing could be done about the symptoms until after the first trimester. I have googled and ask for different opinions but nothing seem to be relieving it. I have added prayer to it. It just get worse everyday, I lose apetite as each day passes. I have been on folic acid, Vit. B complex, multivitamins and felruse(Red blood tonic capsule), add ginger to my drinks and water. Nothing is helping.

Please what am I doing wrong? Senior Colleagues please help coz I can't bear this for 3months.

Sorry mama it is just for 3months, before you start taking ginger you need google more on it I don't think it's that safe for everyone in 1st trimester

After two sets of twins and two single births with five living children! I'm here again.

I've booked for an evacuation twice and didn't have the heart to go through with it.

So yep! Me that thought I was through with child bearing is now 11weeks preggo.

Thank God it's one baby! Im definitely​ going permanent after this one, it's obvious I can't rely on any temporary family planning. Not after two failures.

Pls go to hospital for check up, same thing happens to me at 11w+ for two days, I did scan and everything came out fine and I was given drug they told me to rest...

Early viable cyesis means early stage of pregnancy and cardiac pulsation means the heartbeat was noted.
In summary everything is fine and normal. Shey you are happy now

Nothing to worry about. Scans are plus or minus 2 weeks. Cardiac pulsation is doctor speak for heart beat,
Cyesis is pregnancy. They use these words to confuse us and finish our money. Healthy and happy 9 months to you

Hubby has HMO with R.Jolad, so we decided to go there today, hmmmmmm, my sisters d place be like market! Imagine waiting 2hrs to see doc in a private hospital! I simply told hubby that I will carry patience go gbagada general but d guy was saying Jolad isn't that bad, it's because of public holiday blah blah blah....
Abeg, na so we comot oh, went for another scan! Lo and behold, my little angel is right there! D report reads "An active FETAL pole showing good cardiac pulsation is also shown within the sac".........Hehehe, my Joy doubled instantly. For me oh, I already know my baby's gender! On dis note I'm in officially for #teamjanuary# EDD 30/01/18

Congrat teamie... I will try and do mine this week, am too curious to wait till week12 am 10w+ now

I just came back from Lab nau and my report reads:

Gravid uterus with a single intra uterine gestation sac is demonstrated, there is NO FETAL POLE or ACTIVITY WITHIN THE SAC YET.
GSD:20.0mm
EGA:6weeks 2days (instead of 7weeks 2days)

I was asked to repeat d scan in 2weeks but I'm worried sick about it. Pls mums, isn't there supposed to be a fetal pole by nau? Even heartbeat sef?
I hope dis doesn't indicate any problem?

Abeg teamie take am easy o, nothing is wrong with our LO's, so many stories that raised BP of scan done before 12weeks and at the end the baby will be fine. We are 8w1day today and as much as am eager to see yet have not done any scan just because i dont want to raise my BP, i Will wait till week12. Keep calm and go for another scan in 2weeks. It is Well...

Congrats to all mamas that has put to bed, may Almighty God watch and keep ur lo. I was patiently waiting for Saturday so I can get a positive news concerning the heart beat, only for me to start having cramps all through yesterday and i was spotting.hmmm toward evening the cramps became unbearable it's was like I was having contraction every 5mins. Went to d hospital this mrn nd they gave me an injection and was sent to scan ,they couldn't find the baby again only for me to go nd pee and i popped it out and blood everywhere. I couldn't believe it, was so shocked but relieved as well,my baby at 11 weeks was finally gone. Hopefully I will join u all soon by God's grace.

So sorry for you loss ma, God will give you double for your trouble and affliction will never rise again... It's well with you.

I think these is better than morning sickness, I can't imagine myself throwing up among ppl wey no dey gree mind their own business
