Presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore has rejected the PACT result after Fela Durotoye emerged as consensus candidate. According to the Sowore’s campaign organization, the party never participated in the straw poll. Durotoye who was part of PACT (Presidential Aspirants Coming Together), emerged as the consensus candidate at the party’s meeting on Thursday, beating the likes of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy Governor Kingsley Moghalu and Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters. Sowore who should by virtue of the result withdraw his candidacy and support Durotoye said in a statement that he was not part of the selection process. “On Thursday, the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) selected a Consensus Candidate from amongst the aspirants who participated in the straw poll. The TakeItBack Movement and our convener, Omoyele Sowore, were not part of this action,” the statement read. In the statement signed by Dr Malcolm Fabiyi, the Director General Sowore2019 Campaign, it said: “Our position at the TakeItBack Movement has always been that a United Front of progressive forces is essential for wresting power from the status quo politicians. We believe that our voices are stronger together. As we’ve stated previously, the successful cooperative struggle which several youth presidential aspirants participated in, to extend the voter registration exercise, clearly demonstrates the power of a United Front. “However, we have also been very clear in our position, that the choice of who becomes the leader of almost 200 million Nigerians should not be determined by only about a dozen people, in a nation of 180 million persons. As democrats and progressives, we believe that leaders should emerge, only through a transparent process that allows the millions of Nigerians that are yearning for national development and transformative leadership, to have their say in electing their own representatives, in free and fair party primaries and eventually at the national polls in February 2019. “Our unwavering commitment is to a fair and transparent democratic process that includes party primaries and coalition building. As all the political parties stage their legislative, gubernatorial and presidential primaries between now and October 7th, 2018, we enjoin all Nigerians who desire national transformation to participate actively in the political process by joining political parties or competing for elective positions. “For those seeking a political platform that stands solidly with the Nigerian people and is not aligned with either of the twin evils – the APC and PDP – that have ravaged Nigeria for decades, we invite you to join us in the African Action Congress. “The democratic process is about more than just the presidency; it is our aim to fill elected offices across Nigeria, from councillorship to the Presidency, with young men and women who are tired of the status quo and are truly primed to reclaim Nigeria. “We have heavily subsidised our nomination form fees to give brilliant and progressive minds across the country a chance to make their mark on Nigeria. Our complete fee exemptions for the disabled, youth corpers, honourably-discharged defence personnel and serving or retired teachers, nurses and emergency service workers, prove that we are committed to building a greater Nigeria. “The TakeItBack Movement and the African Action Congress party are committed to creating a Nigeria that works for all, not a select few. We thank all the millions of Nigerians that have supported our campaign for transformation thus far. “The road ahead of us remains a long and arduous one. With your continuing support, we will remain steadfast in demanding a fair and equitable nation, that works for all Nigerians. “Onward together! Let’s TakeItBack with action and determination!!” Source: https://naijaroko.com/2018/08/31/omoyele-sowore-rejects-pact-results-after-fela-durotoye-emerged-as-consensus-candidate/

Sources in the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC have disclosed that the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole is currently unhappy with the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki. NAIJAROKO gathered that Oshiomhole’s failure to meet with the aggrieved members of the party in Edo state last week was the chief cause of multiple defections that rocked the party last Thursday. According to the source, the meeting was to set a new future for APC in the state because “everybody is angry. Most people had remained in the party because of Oshiomhole.” According to party insiders, Obaseki had failed to fulfill his campaign promise to the APC youths two years after the governorship election in the state. It was learnt that Obaseki promised to empower the APC youths who worked to ensure he won the Edo state gubernatorial election two years ago. “Obaseki failed to empower the APC youths and Kwakwansiyya members as promised, few days before the election in Edo,” the source disclosed. According to the source, N10 billion was supposed to be used to empower the APC youths after winning the election. “Oshiomhole wanted to ensure that the youths were empowered as promised but Obaseki being a stubborn man refused to work with the youths and members of Kwakwansiyya. “We don’t know Obaseki in this Benin. If not for Mr. Osamede Adun and Oshiomhole, who is Obaseki. “Oshimole was willing to do everything possible to ensure the youths and the Kwakwansiyya members were empowered but it seemed Obaseki was working against the party to destroy it in Edo state. “Who is Obaseki”, he asked. “Oshiomhole we know but Obaseki we don’t know and for that reason we will ensure that his failure to release the N10 billion empowerment fund to the youths and failure to work with the Kwakwansiyya members will cost him his re-election in Edo state. “Let me hint you, if things continue like this, over 300,000 members of the APC will decamp before the end of next week. It will be the biggest defection ever witnessed in Nigeria, mark my words. Responding to this and other allegations, Governor Godwin Obaseki, in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said, “The focus of Governor Obaseki is governance and getting the dividends of democracy to the ordinary Edo people. “While he holds every member of the political party in high esteem, his first loyalty is to the Edo masses. “They are the ones whose mandate he carries and they always come first.” https://naijaroko.com/2018/08/11/defection-how-n10-billion-empowerment-fund-caused-kwakwansiyya-members-to-dump-apc-in-edo/

Cutefine02:Yes. The guy told me he had laptops & phones too to sell... I also met him Obgogonogo market. Useless guys looking for who will fall for their stupid scam. |
Speakdatruth:You just said my mind... Rubbish list from Forbes. |
I met someone like this in Asaba. The guy said he was from Benin Republic and couldn't speak Pigin English. I had to help him locate a street and then I met his partner. I noticed something wasn't right when the guys accent started changing. He started talking like an Igbo man at some point. I disgraced him by adding some local Nigerian slang like 'shay', 'abi' and he understood well. Him no smart reach for me. |
Marry her first. No marriage no gift. 4get girlfriend matter. |
The thing is obviously a scam. Why will US want care givers from Nigeria? After US confirmed that they were working with a Nigerian company, the first thing you guys would have done is to get the address, phone number, website and names of their Nigeria representative. That would have been the end of scam. Another point is, how sure are you guys that the bigger body they claim is in the US even exist. The guys in Naija might even be the once you guys were talking to in abroad for confirmation. Lol. Many ways to catch a thief. Hope those guys get caught. |
bemagnify:Nice question.... |
CodeTemplar:If he is not, then he shouldn't be talking about how his tithe has increased but rather, be talking about the 'souls won'. |
CodeTemplar:I aff die..... what is 'foundation aggregator'? Are you hungry? |
CodeTemplar:I told U earlier that the man is trying didn't I? He is trying but he is more interested in acquiring wealth than being philanthropic. That's his business not mine. The last time, he wasn't happy when bloggers underrated his wealth. If his dream is to be richer than Dangote then he has a lot to do. I DON'T WISH TO DISCUSS THIS ISSUE WITH YOU ANYMORE. GOOD DAY. |
CodeTemplar:Don't call me 'sir" after insulting me on NL. Away from that... but Oyedepo tells people to pay tithe na. |
CodeTemplar:Show me one 2018 picture from the mentioned foundation, shared by one of its members on social media. Abi church members nor they carry phones they waka they snap selfie. Oyedepo didn't come to social media to tell us he bought a new jet, follows carried the gist to social media. If the pastor is helping non Christians and Christian alike, the gist with pictures will be on social media. That's what they call unofficial images. |
