My car is from the US. I'll have the coil pack checked.

I checked the error code from my VAG and it says "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected". It also says " Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected", " Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected" .

This has happened over several times in recent past. and each time, we had to buy new set of plugs.

My question is how do i know if i REALLY need to ring my engine or just to check my engine intake vacuum (cos i also hear sounds of air escaping when am on the move).

it wasnt the same issues and its much better right now. no more jerking and the engine is not "dying" on me anymore. I called the Itire (VW spare parts market) seller to deliver it to my mechanic. He then fitted then and cleared the codes. The engine light was off for just a day. now its back. Even when the check light was off, the car still took the 3rd starting of ignition to respond fully.

My engine is 2.0L (manual Tranny). I have read the code and that was how i discovered the Engine coolant Sensor and MAF sensor that i changed were bad. Albeit, I'll scan the car again this night to see if it has thrown new error codes. I'll give you the feed back here tomorrow. Thanks man.

Hi Siena, am also having almost same problem. In my case, the idling is not smooth unless i rev for some time and the car takes like the fourth time to start fully. i.e. it starts and stops within 1/2 a second.
Its a VW New Beetle and it runs great on gas, i just changed the MAF sensor, Engine Temp Coolant Sensor, plugs on it 2 days ago. My Mechanic said the engine has lost pressure (whatever that means) and he needs to ring the engine. it runs great at high RPM though. I went to some forums and was told i should use an injector cleaner. So what exactly do you think i should do?

That is a wrong assumption. Some private companies owned by foreigners do not rely on our univ. degrees. They have their own aptitude/smartness test. Once you have the experience they need and you can pass their test. They employ you based on your experience and expertise without giving a hoot if you attended a univ or not.

Just like someone said earlier. NIIT/Aptech are a good springboard to start your IT career even if you studied Christian Religious Knowledge, just be good in what you are do.
