First of all you should understand that it is the super mods not the sectional mods that move topics to the home page.

Now, It all depends on the section you are posting on.
Threads on sections like politics and crime make front page faster because most of those threads are like breaking news. So the super mods send them to the front page o time so people will get the information as soon as possible.

Now for a threads to make front page in other sections one thing you should bear in minds is this. The threads have to be interesting, something that would garner views and make people comment.
It could be informative, it could be funny but it must be something that catches the eye.

That being said, these days it seems the super mods prefer threads that have links on them. That's mainly because they are protecting against plagiarism of other peoples posts from other websites and blogs.
So for a topic you made up yourself to make front page, it has to be really good.

There is also a certain amount of posts a thread has to have before it is moved. It all depends on the discretion of the super mods though.

Lest I forget, always cross check through the front page to see if your topic has already made front page before you post it.

For threads on information, its always first come first serve. The first person to post the information gets his/her thread on front page.

So if you have a nice topic, just tag the super mods. This would allow them to see your thread and if it is f page worthy, they will move it.[/color]

Even though the OP is being sacarstic but for me we hadn't had any light for two weeks prior to the 28th. On the 28th they gave us maybe for 3hrs. Then the 29th they got power at around 6:30pm and didn't take it till 5:00am by 7:00am they brought it back and took it around 12pm. As I speak we don't have power but if it could be like this everyday from now on and improving that'll be awesome but I don't think that's realistic yet.

It rained here Friday night, but they switched off the power while it was raining. But the moment the rain subsided, the light was back again. Before, it takes atleast a day or two to restore the light. I wouldnt give the credit to the new government yet.
Oh well, developed country huh? We're getting there

There has been some improvement since may 28 but I don't think it has anything to do with the new govt, the only way I give total credit to the administration is if it scrap the privatization process and build a fresh electricity program in that way we can truly say the past govt failed in that aspect, as far as I can see there are alot of work taking place which will result to a better service

Yes! I'll attest to it. We have light here. We aint supposed to have it now, cos its been rationed, but we do. Same thing was done yesterday.

I wouldnt boast and say its cos of the Inauguration. Time will tell, but I know its gonna get better.

Me too, We are back to at least 18 hours a day. But they were on strike before anyway. I think most of the distribution companies across the countries were on strike before.
