Hello beautiful mamas, I'm new here. Lo is 6weeks tom.

I had her via emergency cs, I just noticed that lochia stopped at 3 weeks only for me to see a lil blood on and off since last week Wednesday. The blood isn't much tho, I'm going for my appt on Mon. I'm just curious as to what's going on.

My Prince came on the 14th of November via scheduled CS weighing 3.7kg. His name is actually Prince.

He came on my parents wedding anniversary. Lost my mum so I am so happy to have my baby remind me of her.

My baby sleeps like a lamb. No vigilante yet and he doesn't cry.

She sucked and was swallowing till she fell asleep this morning. Made the soup yesterday.
I pumped with manual without stress (90mils) from i)one breast as she was sucking only one well.
Dunno if all is well now. But ate the remaining soup today.

When mum made it for me, it was bitter sha but the milk started flowing. Na me dey run now cos she sucks alottttt.

So sorry about that. Can you try bitterleaf soup made with cocoyam n not cornflour, it works like magic.
My sis had d same issue n tried all d tryables until she took bitterleaf soup, in less than 2hrs her breastmilk was gushing. U can give it a try.

I second this. Bitter leaf soup helps

BS epilogue

After the surgery, I woke up about 30mins later. They brought my baby to me and I started thanking God for safe delivery and for my medical team.

Was given water in sips at first, then a full cup, later tea. By morning next day, The catheter was removed and I was assisted to stand and walk around.

I was given pap in the morning and I was asked to take solid in the afternoon.
Got discharged 3 days post op..

I wish all the other mamas safe delivery in Jesus' name, Amen.

Here is baby Ese at 12 days...

BS PT II

I was checked at 12am, still at 3cm. The tablet was inserted; was told btw 6-10am I would deliver.

Oh boy... I thought I was in pain before. I now started to understand the spiritual realm a lil, lol.

Dh would help and rub my back, but I could see this would stop working. I would get up, hold anything I could when the contra tions came. In btw the nurses will check my vitals. By 4am, they were asking if I felt like going to the toilet and truly I didn't feel that at all. This went on till 9.30am when my doc came to check me. My water hadn't fully broken and I was still stuck at 3cm...

Was wheeled to the labour ward, my membranes were ruptured and that dreadful drip was inserted
I felt another level of pain o... I started talking all sorts and be looking at the time cos I wanted this to be over already.

Dh attempting to help rub my back:
Me: its not like that, apply pressure when the contractions are hard
Me again: easy naa, do you want to kill me/break my waist?

Btw Nurse and I
Me: I want to push o... Baby wants to come o
Nurse: pls wait, don't push oo. Let me check
Few mins later....
Nurse: You're still not ready yet, just endure a bit more
Me: Haaaaaaaaa....what do you mean Pls oooo
Okay, pls remove the drip o, I can't come and die oo
Nurse: its helping you ma, pls endure, soon it will be over

Finally my doc came almost 5hrs later after 2 VE by the nurses and checked himself and I was 5cm. I couldn't believe it o. All that pain and just 2 cm??

So doc says they will leave me for another 2hrs but then he noticed baby's heart beat started dropping and wasn't coming up plus I was sleeping during contractions. Mum was just scared saying they don't sleep during labour.
He called dh and told him they would monitor baby's heart beat and if it drops too low, they would need to do CS immediately. Dh gave his consent.

An hour later, they couldn't hear baby's heart beat, was wheeled into the theater. After the spinal injections, I couldn't feel my waist down. I was asked to move my legs but for where?! Lol

About 10mins later, I heard my baby cry and I was told missade that's your baby! I said thank God then slept off

BS...

Woke up early Saturday morning Oct 22 with back ache that will radiate to the front of my tummy. Around 9.30am, the ache was more consistent and about 10mins apart so I called my doc and explained to him. He asked me to come in for them to check me.

Got to the hospital with dh in tow, was checked and my doc said I was 2cm. He advised I go back home and keep active, do household chores, cook etc.. then come back when the pain is unbearable or my water breaks.

Around 7pm same day, the pain was getting ridiculous and about 3mins about and I felt some water trickle down, so we got Hosp bag and left for the Hosp. At the Hosp, doc checks again and says I'm 3cm and I'm like since morning!! I was admitted and told they will check again by 12am, if I don't progress, a tablet will be inserted to help me dilate.

I was busy managing the pain with dh trying to help and watch football at same time I was praying I won't need the tablet.

12am...doc and team arrived....

My princess arrived yesterday Oct 23 around 4pm. Mother and Child doing great.

I woke up at about 4am today with some pain lower abdomen but I wasn't sure it was contraction. It kept coming and soon were at regular intervals so i called my doc and he asked me to come in.
I went to the Hosp. Doc did VE, told me I'm dilating and that I should go home n come back in the night.
Pls pray for me.

I know today is not fabulous Friday but I'm panicking please I need delivery hair inspiration.
Baby dropped /engaged yester night, I just gave myself sense I'm doing my hair this weekend or mid next week. Please help o. Iomoge2, PrincessKF, alphahandmaiden, etc. I don't want baby to come out and see mummy looking like a rastafarian.

Most times, they advise you do sth you carry for a while like braids.

But as for me, I'm just looking for sth simple like I will plait it all back moderate length as I don't know if I will be looking for scissors to cut the braid when the time comes, lol. Besides, I just never seem to carry braids for long, the longer it stays, I start breaking out.

First Sunday of the month so let's give thanks...

Almighty Father, we thank you for your faithfulness, for your provision even in this time. Thank you for the safe deliveries of the mamas here. Thank you in advance for the double restoration you have granted for any loss experienced.

As we step into October, please Lord take absolute control of all the October mothers and September mamas yet to deliver. We commit our Nov mothers too who will port to October. Lord, please let your grace, mercy and favour reign in abundance this month!

Let the birth announcements be 10/10! We will NOT experience any loss this month and henceforth. We will deliver safely and all our doctors will be connected to Heaven to give us the best advise and experience.

In the end, we will return all the glory back to you as we celebrate the gift of life you have granted to us.

I'm so excited for this month! Its my birth month, my dad is turning 80!!! and....possibly the birth of my first child.

May HIS grace keep us all, Amen.

Hello my beautiful Nov Mamas!!

Present cappo...

Sooooo....i went in today for normal appt. That's how doc says baby is measuring 2weeks ahead and they saw significant amount of glucose in my urine. I just weak straight! So I have to do glucose test tom and have a proper urinalysis test to be sure.

I have been having frequent stomach tightening and today, I had this pain in the middle of my tummy, so I complained at the Hosp. I was given a drug to take at night to slow it down.

It is well and I pray the tests come out alright.

As for counting down, no body do am pass me oo...lol. Just can't wait as I'm really getting tired and everything na work to me now.
