Then it's better u go for HR..don't be deceived by all those nursing success stories..just cos it worked out for the ones u hear about doesn't mean it worked out for everyone.going for HR will make ur app less complicated. As for the agent Part, they do not guarantee visa, Infact peeps have used agent before and ended up on this thread for guidance so just choose what works for u best. And don't forget to send ur statement of purpose to peeps here to help u check before submitting.
All the best
MrsM: Thanks for your replies Haustraliah and Missbon! Its either human resource management or nursing....seems I will have a better chance of getting a visa if I go for the former..i chose nursing because nurses seem to have better prospects in Canada...but I might be wrong. It seems most people on this thread did the whole process themselves. Someone told me its better to use an agent..i always apply for visas myself and so far i've been to Uk(have a 5 year visa) and US on visits. But is it really better to use an agent? And also..at my age 31 will I be allowed to take the course as a second degree?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 9:51pm On Jul 10, 2014
What u should know is that it is difficult to convince the visa officer that u r genuine in this situation so if you must go thru with it then be ready to do a lot of convincing and another thing u should be aware of is that after crossing that visa hurdle, are you gonna be able to cope with studying nursing when you have no background in it? Peeps have come here with such motive and ended up having a very hard time which led to changing from course to course cos they could not cope so pls think abt this again and again. Why not go for a course related to ur first degree. Your success here doesnt depend on nursing alone. So pls think abt it well
All the best
MrsM: Hello everyone! I just went through most of this thread..and I really need some honest opinion/answers. I'm a 31year old housewife with a child(13month old). I'd like to move to Canada..and I'm seriously thinking of taking a nursing course. I graduated from University in 2006 with a 2.2. I studied Accounting. I worked for a while before going into trading. Although I did register my business name. But nursing is totally a career change..and I dont even know if it'll be possible to get admission...i can either do the two year or four year course. Has anyone done this before and at this age? What are my chances? Please I'll appreciate honest opinions and advice! Thank you in advance!

It's not compulsory to submit it, only ur own birth cert is important..ur siblings birth certs is optional, it neither helps u get ur visa nor affects ur app negatively.it's ur choice if u want to
codebreaker: Hello house.. Do I nees birth certificates and passport bio pages of my siblings for my online app? Or Am I seeing wrongly
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 6:08pm On Jul 09, 2014

Am so sorry about the refusal....am sure God has better plans..
UzoTheZone: Hello everyone. I want to thank everyone who has specifically contributed to my application process. You've all been super kind and your insights have been very helpful.

Sadly, I got refused the visa today.

I wish everyone expecting medicals and trv God's favour.

Life moves on for me though.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 1:38pm On Jul 09, 2014
Getting admission is not the problem here, the main issue is can ur documents be ready for visa application as soon as possible? If not then u should choose a suitable start date. Betterstil choose the one you will have enough time to prepare. Avoid rush hours
yomisley: i found a skul in canny and the deadline is for application is aug 1st, can i still meet up with the registration and all other things if i register now...
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 1:35pm On Jul 09, 2014

What u should know is that using sponsors abroad makes it difficult for u to convince the visa officer. It will be gud if you can include a family member based in ur country of residence as co-sponsor. Also a Job can help.as ties. Landed properties will also help.
All the best
BadmanBoss: Hello house, my sponsor is abroad(my sister) but my family is based in Nigeria, will any issue of home ties arise in my application??
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 11:31pm On Jul 08, 2014
It is not compulsory for the online route
chidimma1: please is police clearance compulsory for online route
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 6:45pm On Jul 08, 2014
Yes u can proceed but note that ur bachelor degree and the amount of credits acquired in the graduate certificate will be taken into account
All the best
zerray: pls i hv a question,

can one proceed after completing graduate certification in college to masters in university? if yes how is it done ? pls its urgent
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 4:24pm On Jul 08, 2014
You are free to change ur course.when writing ur sop, everything should be geared towards the new intended course. U don't need to state that yr switching courses
monp: Please I have 2 questions.
can one change course from specific management course to a more general management course when re-applying following visa refusal

2. Do you need to put the reason for switching in the SOP. I.e why a new course or
is switching a big No No

Will appreciate anyone who has first or second hand info on course switching after visa refusal
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 4:14pm On Jul 08, 2014
If u can state all.this things in the affidavit it will help, pls work on ur sop very well. The reasons for ur refusal is all about u not ur sponsor so pls fix ur own end. If possible add ur wife's business docx. Or anything to show that she will take care of things when you are away. If u must add a co-sponsor.pls use a relative. All the best
dannydolly: I'm employed (public servant) majorly into emergency and rescue management. I added my appointment letter, payslip and introduction letter from work. On family survival, I'm leaving the cab for them which brings a weekly income and my wife is also running her biz.

@all... Thanks so much for the advice. I will work better on the sop. On the finances, Guess I need to add a co-sponsor but what's the excess of adding a co-sponsor who is not really sponsoring. Is it adviseable to do that at all just to get the trv? My uncle that is really sponsoring me gave me all the necessary documents including the affidavit of sponsorship and he has no dependant which was also stated there.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 11:40am On Jul 08, 2014
If I may ask, are u employed somewhere else or just self-employed? When u come here to study, how will ur family survive or are there finances in place for them?
This should be explained in your affidavit
Also a well written sop will.help, try to send it to peeps before u apply.
All the best
dannydolly: My application was refused today. Reasons; purpose of visit, limited employment prospects in your country of residence, your current employment situation and your personal assets and financial situation.

Pls house is there anything that can be changed or included to re-apply. I submitted admission letter (going for nursing as a second degree), sponsors documents (business reg docs) and statement of account 6m plus, appointment letter, personal statement of account (1.9m), first degree cert and transcript, O'level cert, marriage cert and kids' birth cert, pension cert and statement (700k+), and taxi cab docs in my name.
Please help a brother good people of the house.
Thanks

Gudluck to anyone that can combine both. Experience is the better teacher. All the best
abisolmi: I worked at Amazon in the UK during my undergrad, it was tough, i was on weekend shift only and weekdays I stayed overnight sometimes in the Library to catch up with assignments. it is tideous, yes but not impossible and I did come out tops in my class. I am not saying it is easy, all i am saying is it is possible. I checked some school vacancies in Canada and they had a call centre that runs 3 hour shifts after classes so I am saying what i researched.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 2:25am On Jul 05, 2014
It comes with medical instructions..recently the number of peeps asked to pay tuition is close to none..so what you should consider is the deadline/conditions the skul gives to pay ur tuition
All the best
bjoseph: To those that are contemplating on where to do their medicals, if you based in Lagos or near Lagos, I would suggest Asaju Medical Clinics. Reason for this is that, I experienced their speedy rate of sending medical result to embassy this week. I booked an appointment with them on Wednesday July 2 and today I got an update that have passed the medical. An indication that, they can process your medics within 2 days. Please friends that have gotten their TRVs, after passing the medics, what next. Are some required to pay tuition after the medics or it ought to have been asked before the medics?

By this time next year, maybe late for u to apply for sept entry. Althou its possible if you have all ur docx set. You can read past pages of this thread, visit www.cic.gc.ca for everything abt studying in canny then you can drop any questions u may have.

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 2:26pm On Jul 04, 2014
You need a biometrics letter so do as you were instructed..dats why it's always advisable to apply early incase anything happens but don't panic, you may get it in less dan 28 days. Remain positive

ms.anon:
I have. I got an automated message saying i should expect a response within the next 28 days. I don't have 28 days. I'm not sure what to do at this point. won't my receipt and other documents be enough for them to take my fingerprints and pictures?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 2:20pm On Jul 04, 2014
If you do not receive it by nextweek, pls mail the embassy..I cnt remember the email add but am sure u can find that out.

TGIF peeps,
I will like to congratulate all the peeps who got their TRVs recently and also just a quick tip to anyone who may need this,
Peeps who were denied recently or about to apply, pls take ur time to look through ur docx, ask peeps on here to also help you. Don't just assume you know what is wrong with ur app and rush to reapply again. The more refusals accumulated, the more it becomes harder to really help that application. And if u were denied for personal assets, financial status, purpose of visit..pls look thru ur employment docx and sop. Something may have gone wrong somewhere...getting ur visa is not a competition so pls move at ur own pace, don't rush it.
Wishing yall a wonderful weekend and more successful applications.

God ain't sleeping

Am.sorry abt ur refusal..The schedule 1 form has nothing to do with ur reasons of refusal. I will suggest u list ur docx for the house to check.
All the best
chidimma1: hello nlanders, please I need advice urgently, I was refused visa to canny based on purpose of visit, is there any connection between filling Schedule 1, application for temporary resident visa form and my purpose or reason for traveling, since the form is optional. Please make una answer before I submit to avert further refusal.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 4:02am On Jul 03, 2014
Avoid using too many sponsors, use the best two you have. If you can renew ur passport, get it done.
The docx u scan and submit online are original so they won't ask for the hard copies.if there are any doubts abt their authenticity, they wont request for a copy, rather a final decision will be made which may result in bad news.
All the best
yomiraheem: Hello guys, and thank you miss bon for ur emails...the SOP and all.

I have some questions however:

1. Is it ok using my brother, myself, and parents as sponsors? My brother has 3m in his acct, 2landed properties and a nice job with good cash flow. I have just 2m. My parents have only a few thousands but has 3 landed properties.

2. My passport expires Dec 2015 and the program I'm going for is 1 year, starting from January 2015. Is it ok to apply with dat..its exactly 1year but I think they give like 3months extra on visa.

3. After the online submission are they still gonna ask u to submit the original documents, aside d passport?

I'll appreciate your response all, tanx
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 3:58am On Jul 03, 2014
If you have to include ur masters cert, then be ready to explain why you wanna go for a pgd also if you exclude ur masters cert then be ready to explain the gap from ur previous education till date.this are the things u should put into consideration, anyone u choose requires convincing the visa officer. But from observation, peeps don't include their masters. They use their jobs/work experience to explain gaps. So the choice is urs

sexysammy0906: Hello everyone, i have been following this forum and have found it very useful. please i need help with some information. I recently got an admission to cetennial college for pgd program and i was about applying for visa when my agent brought to my attention tht i might have some issues with getting a visa since i have a master degree from uk. he explained that the embassy recently have been rejecting applications from most persons who have completed a master degree in another country and wants to study for a lesser degree in canada. please is there anyone who has a master degree and is going for a pgd program and has gotten visa. i am really confused and i really do not knw what to do. i would really appreciate any information. thanks

Why wil u stress urself going all the way to Ghana when u can just apply online and get ur visa in less than 5 weeks.
By the way, u have to be a legal resident/citizen of Ghana for u to apply there so it won't be possible if ur a tourist.
Even if u decide to reside there for some time, how wil u prove home ties and other things in ur app. Pls don't set urself up so it's better you apply online which doesn't require u go to Ghana. Also faster
All the best
Holu26: I have nigeria ecowas passport which I believe can be use to get entry to Ghana as a tourist. Plz is it not possible that way?

But what if I decide to reside in Ghana for the duration of the visa application processing time, will that work?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 2:29pm On Jul 02, 2014
Am.sure if u read the past pages, u will figure out the online route is the way to go except if u r super patient then u go for the paper route but none of them guarantees visa tho
Ur situation is not a big deal, listing ur parents and using them as ur sponsors is a strong home tie. U can also use ur job if you have one and if u don't, u must state whatever u have been doing since ur last education. Just focus on presenting all true informations with evidences
All the best
fejeerow: Good day everyone, few questions to ask. I got accept to bcit for post graduate diploma program for jan 2015
Anyone going to bcit?
Paper route and online, which do u recommend?
What do u recommend for me to use as strong ties to my country? Am still young 23,not married, not engaged, no company to take care of, pls help me of an idea to use as home tie

ms.anon:
So basically same answers for all three questions right?
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 1:21pm On Jul 02, 2014
always indicate thesame date I told u previously and always state that u ar still studying and going on an exchange program. Pls do not indicate anything abt work since ur still a student.

i don't know when you'll see this miss bon. I've been able to fill in 2 of the 3 employment history slots using your suggested approached which worked( Thanks!) however there's one more and although its accepting NOT APPLICABLE for Previous activity/occupation and Company/employer/facility name.. The dates still needs filling in.. and country. Can you think of anything to fill in there?
@house, if anybody can help me with this inquiry, that would be very very helpful. Thanks
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 1:00am On Jul 02, 2014
Since ur still in skul then write the year you got in and the month. Then the current activity should be that you are still in school and going on an exchange program. The current employer should be ur school's name
The jobs dat can be included are the ones attained after you have graduated so Pls don't put any temporary jobs there cos it could affect ur purpose of visit.
All the best
ms.anon:
I appreciate the effort miss bon. Thanks. I'm still doing my first degree; just going for an exchange program. I have worked briefly in the past but for a few weeks, should i just put that down? They were temporary jobs and i don't know if they really count. At this point, i'm willing to just put it down so i can get past this stage to be honest. Thanks for your help.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 11:58pm On Jul 01, 2014
I had to download the form to check myself, I noticed the form has changed. What use to work before doesn't work now so I will advice you to write it this way
Date: indicate ur graduation date from ur first degree and month
Current activity: graduated on the said date and no current actiivity or state any volunteer work or anything ur doing
Company/employer name: write 'none' if you stated no current activity or place ur doing the work stated
I hope this helps
ms.anon:
Thanks for the response, Miss bon; however its not accepting none for the employment dates. the error message keeps saying 'The correct format is: Numeric characters and between 1990-current year. The following characters are invalid: N/A'

Please how do i get past this? Does anyone know what to fill in for the form to be validated? I'm stuck here and need to apply ASAP. Pleaseeeee
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by missbon(f): 11:43pm On Jul 01, 2014
I guess if it's not taking alphabets then u can write '0' as in the number zero.
