You must renew ur passport, if you need a visa dat will cover the duration of your course

i hav a lil question though, I intend to apply in august for the winter session, 2015 in canaada but then my passport expires May 2015.
i dont know if i should apply with this passport or renew it before applying for the visa... what do you guys think?

I can't. Its not letting me put in anything. No alphabets. That's where i'm stuck cos i don't want to leave it blank. Not even N/A is working.

It may be difficult to convince the visa officer dat the applicant is a genuine student but it's not impossible if there are no other complications with the app, lets say the finances, job ties, family ties and every other thing is on point and this is the only problem then the applicant can give it a go. keeping in mind that solid reasons must be provided as to why the course is essential to his/her career and plenty of proof to show the applicant will be returning after studies.

Am sorry but this can lead to a lot of complications,the application might have been reveiwd by the visa officer so adding dis may affect the decision already made. we have seen so Many times here when peeps submit what the visa officer didn't request for and next thing they get medicals, before they even proceed, they get denied..almost like the application was judged twice so pls it' not advisable to give this info here. All hope is not lost for her application yet.

What if u fill another form and pay another visa fee altogether. ( waste of money i know). You don't want to be caught telling a lie on a visa application form, though i still feel they would have access to the information. And if you are called to ask why, you can tell that you noticed the mistake and thought to rectify it. I'm not sure it works that way tho.

Like you won't attend the biometric appointment for the wrong application you already submitted.

Not sure if this even makes sense since I've never submitted an application myself. Maybe people who've applied before can correct me if I'm wrong.

Dats the process everyone goes thru before coming here so if you have gotten ur medics, relax and go do it then wait for the good news. No need to stress

Just an observation
To those who own/run their own company, when you mention this in ur app,don't forget you will have a lot of convincing to do cos u may look like ur gonna abscond when you get here. Stating that after ur studies, u will return to ur company may raise red flags, some questions need to be answered like 'who will run the company when you are gone' if this question can't be answered then it may look unreliable. It's advisable to state very reliable info in ur app. pls don't forget that you are applying for a study permit not work permit, your app should be mostly about ur studies, jobs and work experiences should only be mentioned when needed

My app was refused today.
Reason was that I do not have a family tie in canada and in my home and secondly my purpose of visit .
other reasons: You failed to satisfy me that the project of studies in Canada is not principally for the purpose of gaining entry to Canada

Documents submitted :

Completed application form
Sop
Cac documents
Tax clearance certificate
Tax receipts
Tuition deposit
Bank acc both personal and corporate acc
Dad's bank acc
Dads landed property and affidavit of co sponsorship
My affidavit of sponsorship
I applied as a self sponsor
Pls house can u pls tell me how to tackle this issue cos i intend reapplying next week.
The start date of my course is 25th of August . Can I meet up?
Pls advise.

I did everything by the book didn't leave any room for error and yet I got denied at the last minute.
VFS said they got way too many denials for a week or 2 cos they heard a new new immigration officer stepped in to handle applications for 6 weeks.
So bad timing for me and all the other numerous people that got denied during that period I guess.

I have one question for people that have used or are using the online application route though..
Do I need to upload a receipt for tuition payment right from the start or should I wait until the embassy asks me to do that.. cos as it is am due to get my full tuition refund from Seneca college by end of January so I can now use that to pay for my new school.
