Jumoke the “bread street hawker” turned model who landed the cover of Thisday style gets united with her husband Sunday who is now in Lagos.


According to Ty Bello, the idea of putting Jumoke on the cover of ThisDay Style first came up from renowned ThisDay journalist Azuka Ogujiuba, according to Ty, Azuka said “Imagine if Jumoke was the next style cover”. From that single idea, Jumoke’s life changed in a second.


Jumoke who is now signed to Few Modeling agencies, is going to be featured in other leading publications both within and outside Nigeria. She is scheduled to pay some courtesy visits to top government officials in the country as well as top entrepreneurs and business moguls.

We are told she will be featured in a lookbook campaign of a top Nigerian designer, be the campaign face for a major fashion week in Nigeria as well as being featured in the billboard campaign of a major fashion online retailer.

"When my daughter was 2 years old she fell seriously ill and I thought she was gonna die. In fear, I picked up her feverish body and tied her to my back oja style. The heat from her body burned my back as if someone poured coals of fire into the wrapper. Without slippers on my feet I raced to a business center where one could make calls for N20 a minute in those early days of mobile phones as I did not have credit on my phone. People looked at me mortified, wondering if I just went mad. The fact is that I was racing to call my daughter's father to please send help (money or someone) to take us to the hospital. I was a first year student in LASU and had no money to do so. As a matter of fact I was sleeping on the floor of a friend's house then for 3 years with no help from my sperm donor!
It was very early in the morning when his phone rang and he picked it up at first ring:
Me: Hello Ali, please help me (sobbing incoherently) Zsazsa is very ill, I need to take her to the hospital. She's very weak unable to eat and I fear that she may convulse due to the fever.

Me: Hello hello Oh my God! (to the operator) he has dropped the phone what do I do? please call him back.

You may ask why I didn't call her first. The answer is " because the baby has a father!" I am yet to see N5 from a man who claimed to love me every day and still calls to say it till date. Any way I digress, back to the issue.
Davido is a young man (boy in my eye) if he could father a child with a woman who is older and still care so much as to rent a house for the mama in Lekki, take the baby for medical attention in Dubai and still give her a N300,000 allowance, I think he has shown that he is 100.1% a true father and not a daddy and should be left alone! Older men leave home for months expecting mothers to feed their children while they gallivant from one woman to another. A man I know told his wife when she asked for money for school fees for his children " are you not their mother? Pay na! You think say to marry fine boy easy?" With Jerry curls on his head (anuofia!). Nobody should say "fiiiiim" about Davido. He has behaved like a true man. Not many men can do what he has done. N300,000 as allowance in Nigeria of today no be beans! Some oil company workers don't even receive that in a month. No court in Nigeria would even award you that if you have 10 children in a divorce case. Many women still collect N20,000 for allowance for 5 children, yet people have the audacity to say he is irresponsible! What would you now call my sperm donor then? Msheeeew!

1. Crazy Mood Swings:
One minute he's pleased with the office,the next,he's running gaga over very minor stuff that even a 5 year old can find solution to! You wonder if there is a remote control somewhere in charge of his grey matter. Maybe he's just borderline psycho and needs to lie on some couch for professional evaluation! You don't want to work under such unpredictability. Very bad for anyone's productivity!

2.The CCTV Boss:
This one gives you an assignment and teleguides you all the way. Until the job is complete,he's constantly looking over your head,squinting at your computer monitor to make sure it goes the way he wants. If the job is half done,he stalks you on the phone reminding you to remember not to forget to do that 'thing'! When you turn on your phone in the morning,you are certain to see a series of text messages reminding you of the all important assignment. Whatdaf.ck! Oga,you for just do am by yourself na!
3: The Bully:
Like all bullies,this one feels good when he inflicts pain. He acts as though he couldn't wait to get to the top so make life miserable for those underneath. He's an expert in issuing queries,but very hesitant when it comes to commendation. The bully prays for employees to get into trouble in order to have an opportunity to wield the big stick! With this set of 'ogas' you dare not go on leave.If at all you are permitted to do so,its abridged. Not that you are indispensable,no!You must not be fully happy,yes! The only time a bully Boss is nice to you,is when something bad happens in your life. Misery loves company always! They end up being major prayer point by staff.lol.
4:The By~Force~Best Friend:
Initially,you will thank your stars for having a boss who gets down to your level. Drinks and personal issues are shared with no airs. Toothy Selfies of you two pop up on facebook and your DP. The draw back is that the friendship will affect your official roles. You don't know when you are stepping out of line.One bright sunny day, you are both trading polite 'yabbis', and then suddenly,he sternly reminds you who and what he is to you. 5.The Non Boss:
This type are just there.They don't lead anyone.The office runs itself;inevitably aground.They offer no ideas,offer or solutions. You are free to come and go as you please.Some employees consider them nice,but in actual fact,they are uninspiring. They lack motivation and are secretly lazy. Funny how they are well loved.
6.The Competitive Boss:
Chayee! I once had a boss who came across as the competition.
