Phones / Infinix S3 Review: The First Snapdragon Device From Infinix For Nigeria Market. by MissTechy(f): 3:50pm On Mar 27, 2018 |
Infinix just beat Tecno in the Snapdragon race, especially in Nigeria! Before now, the company had launched a Snapdragon device — the Hot 3 LTE, but the Snapdragon variant wasn't readily available n Nigieria. Now, in comes the S3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvscHOrTF7E&t=34s The first Snapdragon device from Infinix for the Nigerian market. In the video, I talked about a couple of features like the Face ID and how the Snapdragon was able to handle heavy tasks. But do you think the shortcomings mentioned in the video are deal breakers? Phones / Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A: Would You Rather Buy This Or... by MissTechy(f): 8:26am On Mar 20, 2018 |
Like I said on the blog, Xiaomi has partnered with Jumia to sell their latest phones in Nigeria and the guys at Jumia sent the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A just in time for their mobile week. Now, this phone cost about N34,000 on Jumia (Original price) and at that price you are getting basic specs. By basic, I also mean, no fingerprint sensor or front flash type of basic. Watch my first impressions below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUn46IXl4rU&t=173s And let me know if you think this is a better budget smartphone than the likes from Tecno, Infinix to name a few. Phones / Is This the King of Budget Phones? by MissTechy(f): 6:32am On Feb 23, 2018 |
The Nokia 2 is currently the most affordable Android Smartphone from Nokia, the device is, of course, not perfect but hey! It sells at N32,000. But despite the impressive and not so impressive specs (see the some of the specs below), is this device worthy of being called the King of Budget Phones? Well, I tried to answer the question in the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fOM6uIauV4&t=1s So watch and let me know what you think? Cc @lalasticlala 6 Likes 5 Shares

Phones / Inside Transsion’s (Mother Company Of Tecno/Infinix) Headquarter In Shanghai. by MissTechy(f): 2:18pm On Feb 14, 2018 |
It’s no news that Transsion is the mother company of Tecno, Infinix, iTel, and Carlcare, and if you are just knowing about this little fact, well, how big is the rock you've been living under Anyway, I and a few others had the opportunity to visit their headquarters in China, an interesting experience. And I have a video to prove it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1canLWZW3g&t=2s But for those who still want to see the pictures, well, here you go: 22 Likes 3 Shares

Phones / Between The Zero 5 And The Phantom 8 by MissTechy(f): 8:14am On Nov 20, 2017 |
Infinix unveiled the Zero 5 in Dubai last week, an event I was privileged to attend. Of course, I had to do a quick unboxing there, so check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd9YUvJw7hI&t=44s As far as specs are concerned, it shares some similarities with the Phantom 8, especially with the RAM and the processor. However, design-wise, the Phantom 8 happens to be people's choice. So, over to you, which would you pick, the Zero 5 or the Phantom 8 and what would you like to see in my full review. cc @Lalasticlala 3 Likes |

Phones / Meet The Phone That Wants To Take On The Infinix Note 4 & Tecno Camon CX Air. by MissTechy(f): 11:27am On Nov 11, 2017 |
Meet the Gionee X1s, Gionee's answer to the Tecno Camon CX Air and the Infinix Note 4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpwHupCS4xM&t=43s In the video, I tried to unbox the X1s, the little guy that wants to take on the Camon CX air and the Note 4. With 2017 being the death of the bezels, the bezels on the X1s (and the Note 4 and the Phantom 8 and yeah, I could go on and on) might disappoint some folks and while I don’t deny that they make the phone look older, I don’t think it affects the general usability of the phone — I was able to hit all the four corners of the device with one hand. cc @Lalasticlala 9 Likes 5 Shares

Phones / My Phantom 8 Review: Your Questions Answered. by MissTechy(f): 9:22am On Nov 07, 2017 |
I am sure some of us have questions and concerns about the Phantom 8, questions that I’d try to answer in this review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDwQmnX5dws BOOT TEST Like with every other smartphone, the first thing you’d do when you get the Phantom 8 is to power on the device — which takes about 29 seconds and this places the Phantom 8 in the 4th position on the boot test leaderboard. FINGERPRINT TEST The next thing you’d probably do is to unlock the device and it would interest you to note that the fingerprint sensor on the Phantom 8 is incredibly fast and accurate, just a tap unlocks the phone. You can also use the sensor to take a picture and accept calls. DISPLAY With the device unlocked, you are fully able to see the 5.7 FHD display. The screen is not an OLED display, so you are not getting the super rich and vibrant colors specifically in the reds and blues. But, overall, the Phantom 8’s screen is still a pleasure to look at, plus, sunlight visibility is quite good. UI The next thing you’d get to experience is the UI, which isn’t stock Android because Tecno used the latest HiOS — HiOS 3.0 The overall experience is a two-way thing — you either like it or you don't. If you do like it, you can further tweak the option by choosing between the single launcher — which places all the apps on the home screen: Or the Standard launcher — this comes with an app drawer. On the bloatware side of things, the Phantom 8 comes with a couple of them like, Recharge King, to name a few All of which can be uninstalled to save storage. STORAGE Speaking of storage

Phones / My Tecno Phantom 8 Unboxing — What's With The Fingerprint Magnet? by MissTechy(f): 8:25am On Oct 23, 2017 |
Okay, I admit that the title was "in part" a click bait, but the Phantom 8 is here guys!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Td3YuhEPxb4&feature=youtu.be The first phone from Tecno to sport the trendy dual cameras. The Tecno Phantom 8 also boasts of other premium specs like the 6GB of RAM, 64GB of Internal storage, Helio P25 octa-core processor that is clocked at 2.6GHz a 20MP front-facing camera with dual flash and others. Like I said in the video, the speculated price for the Phantom 8 is about N150,00 but I will update this once it is confirmed. As always, let me know what you think about the Phantom 8 and don't forget to follow me on Instagram and the blog, it's at . cc @lalasticlala 14 Likes
