I'm in the UK an having listened to all these female spitters and comparing them to those over here (and the US), BOUQUI wins hands down! Having said that all these girls are doing us proud; they're all gifted. smiley

Femlag,

I'm so sorry I seem to have missed your PM to me undecided.

I'll send you the necessary info ASAP!

(ps: my posting above should have read N4m not N3m (and this excludes professional fees of about N1m for the solicitor, agent fee, mortgage, broker, etc)

So in total you're looking at a minimum of N5m (20,000GPB).

Canachy,

can you send me links to your forums please?
WebmastersRe: Starting A New Forum Like Nairaland. by missy06(f): 5:47pm On Jun 18, 2007
1) We'll I'm no expert! In regard to my comment on SMF having 'licensing issues' see the links below:

http://www.hiveminds.co.uk/node/597?from=20&comments_per_page=10

http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=244739

2) Canachy, in your opinion, which are the top 3 you would recommend? and what are their drawbacks.

I set up my forum using phpBB on Saturday and about to put it out today. I'm thinking of moving it to VBulletin later (not doing so at the moment as you have to pay for it and I want to ensure I'm happy to continue the forum) . Is this easy to move over later?

3) Also have you had problems with spamming? , As this seems to be a problem with some of these open source forums. undecided

Thank for that.

It seems SMF has licensing issues and a friend recommended phpBB so I've gone with that for now.

Thanks again!!

Femlag,

realistically I would suggest you make your budget N3m.

For this amount, your options are open to various kinds of properties in various locations in the UK.

I can run the options by you and also send you info; do let me have your email addy.

You can send any enquiries to: enquiries@lordshomes.co.uk

Rodent,

the interest is 6%. Which is very good for a foreign mortgage product smiley.

It is a tracker product which is 0.75% above base rate. Base rate is currently 5.25%, hope that makes sense! If it doesn't let me know and I'll give you more info.

sartorius:
why not try invest in hostel accomodation, it pays if you manage and package it well, i tried something like that with not so much and i tell you , long term it pays, ---------------------------------------------------------30 room well furnished with all mordern amenities- at least -each room goes for about 150 gees, about 4.5 m each session, land aint so expensive like yaba for lag etc , or you could refurblish houses there on agreement
Sartorius, do you really think this will still be profitable long term? It's been rumoured that Lag, for example, is going to start putting a limit on it's annual student intake. Doing the simple maths of it, that means an automatic drop in the student population,

I hope the mind-set of having pictures online is changing. smiley

My company sells property to individuals and corporates here in the UK and in Nigeria. These are mainly new-build (off plan) properties mainly in upcoming areas that aren't expensive.

A while a go we expanded our services to UK clients that want to buy in Nigeria. We are currently carrying out a Client Satisfaction Survey and so far we've discovered, from the feedback so far, that our clients are reluctant to bother with properties that they can't initially see online. Note that most of these individuals can't fly to Nigeria to just view properties they're not sure of!

As UK buyers are used to eliminating properties by pics before actually viewing it physically, Nigeria agents are definitely doing themselves a dis-service as they lose the buisiness of such parties. sad

Hi everyone.

Just to let you know as foreigners you can get a mortgage up to 90% in the UK.

My company sells investment property to individuals in the UK as well as to Naijas not based in the UK. We specialise in new builds (off-plan properties) but also source older properties for our clients.

Everything is above board and legal and the mortgage is arranged on your behalf by a specialist mortgage broker based over here in the UK.

It has proved to be a great way for quite a number of Naijas who have between 10%-20% deposit to invest over here!

Bomega4u,

thanks for the feedback.

The property she's looking at buying is a 2 bed ground floor flat. It's immaculate and just need some painting. The garden has been well maintained and (as we've since found out) you've already said, is well secured.

She's been asked to pay N6Miller. What do you think?

I'm looking at investing in a 2 or 3 bedroom bungalow in Abraham Adesanya Estate.

I'm told it's in Lekki or Ajah, not sure which exactly. The 2 bed is going for about 7.5m and the 3 bed 9.5m, anyone know much about this area, the props and any disadvantages of the area?

I just wanted to find out the low-down on Oko Oba.

A friend is looking at buying a ground floor flat there for about N6M. Does anyone know much about this area? I think the flat is in the LSDPC estate or somewhere, undecided
