thats a misconception.

they're attracted to other tribes but they settle down with their own tribe mostly.

besides, most other tribes except for the hausa, do frown on their kids dating fulani, especially if the kid in question is female. [because that means she will leave home].

So, that in itself limits the amount of ~~social~~ interaction between fulani and "other tribes".

which may have given rise to the impression fulani men do not get attracted to non fulani women. They do, but they prefer their own women eventually.

just theorizing here.

and btw, many of the pictures on the thread do not resemble fulani. Are they horners?

I can understand some of Bororojo reservations, especially with Cronsberg statement in exchanging groups of women as if they are mere property, and a woman only usage is for men sexual satisfaction. Statements such as that is definitely unacceptable and quite offensive, if you have respect for women, such statements would not be uttered but rather condemn. That is why i respect some Somalis or Ethiopians, they would never make a statement such as that in regards to their female population, irregardless whether they are attracted to other ethnic groups. To me statements such as that is a lack of respect for women. Again i am not against inter ethnic marriages, but that statement really did irk me a great deal.

You guys are cool anyway.

Actually, it was a mixture of both language groups, it you look at many monuments in Northern Sudan in the earlier period it was in the AfroAsiatic language, for example temple of Soleb, El kurru, and some of the earlier pyramids, however later it was switch to Nilo Saharan, which means you and the somali dude are correct. In other words, the region is more or less diverse linguistically, and you can obviously see that with the faces of the current population.

Actually, it is pretty chic place to venture in some parts of Los Angeles, and the Ethiopians pretty much help fixed a area called "U" street in Washington DC, which was crack infested and very ghetto area, by adding their businesses and know how, and now it is a vibrant area of DC. Many of my White colleague do venture to Ethiopia cuisine, and they loved their vegetarian dishes, also when i visited places such as Oakland and Seattle, i had seen many Ethiopian restauants, and other businesses.
