1. The igalas
2. The Ebiras
3. The Okuns (Yoruba speaking part)
Their current governor Yahaya Bello is from okene and they are full blooded Ebiras. Though Kogi State had the igalas as governors sometimes ago too. Dino melaye and Smart Adeyemi are from the okuns part and they happens to be the minorities among the 3 tribes. That’s why the okuns mostly have Yoruba names
Notable mention is Gen David Jemibewon(Rtd) who’s also an Okun from Iyah gbede(Ijumu LG).
