It is better to be know for the truth than to be telling lies every minute. As a leader, he's supposed to verify every statement he makes even if it takes time so that people will know his words are sacrosanct. Obi should not be competing for nairaland first to comment! With all these lies, who will believe him when he cries out when rigging takes place! People will see him as telling more lies.

The last time I checked, you're still a member of PDP.

WIKE is still in PDP while receiving salary in APCHaram.... Is that not anti party?
Wike doesn't receive salary from APC. He receives salary from the FG. The FG is not APC and APC is not the FG.
Wike doesn't attend APC meetings. He's not a card carrying member of APC. He is a member of PDP. Obi attends coalition meetings, he's a foundation member of the coalition and he attended the inauguration of party chieftains of ADC. You can see the difference!

Supreme Court have made it clear that no court have the right to disqualify any candidate the political party have chosen through their internal affairs.
All they need to do is resign before the elections, but for now, the game continues.
Let's wait and see. The law can be used as a two edged sword. It depends on how good the lawyer is.

I like the way they're playing the game this time. Tinubu plays dirty politics, therefore they need to play dirty to beat him in his own gain.
Nobody knows the real coalition party, is it ADC, SDP, ADA, LP or PDP ?
Wike and Tinubu played the PDAPC game and normalized anti party. The supreme Court legalized it, now is time to teach them how to play the real anti party game.
You guys like talking rubbish without knowing the implications. What an elder will see sitting down, a kid will not, even when he climbs a ladder. Right now a lawyer is gathering evidence of their actions vis a vis the electoral act, to see if they can be disqualified after primaries or election.
To you it's fun. Don't complain when a case of disqualification is brought up in the election tribunal.
You cannot belong to two parties at the same time. And for you to participate in an election you must be a card carrying member of the party you're contesting under.

Cost of 1 vehicle can provide several primary health care centres in some villages.

you have not made good use of what u have gathered and you think gathering more is where progress is going to come from?

please be truthful, u cant defend waste
Is that why he refused to conduct LG elections for 8 years because he was saving the money?
You talk about cost of buying one vehicle. Do you know the cost of not buying that vehicle?
Also, provision of primary health care centres is suppose to be a Local Government thing. We have three tiers of government that shares allocation. Let the others do their part

If its only cost of governance OBI will reduce then he is the right man for the job.

Lets get a few things right in this country.

at least nobody can argue that OBI hasnt done that successfully before and you cant also argue that bloated government cost is not one of our major problems in nigeria.
Tell us how he will reduce cost of governance? Do you think reducing ministerial portfolios or presidential travels will reduce the cost of governance? Those are peanut change if you must know. The problem of Nigeria is not government spendings but revenue generation through productivity.

A very resourceful guy, but politics is not played like that. If you set the bar too high while you are not yet in power, you will never get anywhere near power because all the people you threw under the bus will turn into your enemies .

Tinubu used El Rufai to get to power, and discarded him immediately he got there.
Yes, it is very important to surround yourself with folks who share the same ideology with you. But it is even more important to avoid turning possible friends into certain foes on your way to power..

Hundeyin should avoid being another Sowore; an ideologue stuck at a spot by the stiff ideological walls he has built against possible helpers over time.
Such people seldom get to their destinations, unless the have the power to will their goals into reality..
Now they'll fine a way to castigate their hero just because he dumped Obi! Una no dey shame! Criticize him for something he did wrong not because of a personal opinion he took .

SUPERPACK:
Since naira is not a stable currency we have do the calculation with the value of a stable currency against the naira which is dollar.

In 2008 the average naira to dollar exchange rate was #117 per dollar. #50000 divided by #117 per dollar = $427.

To get the new value we multiply $427 by the current dollar to naira rate of #1560 per dollar = #666,120.

So that #50,000 is worth about #666,000 in our today's economy.

Mynd44.
Oga! Naira was being subsidised then. So stop this comparison

Politics › Re: Peter Obi's Brother- Rebuke To TVC Presenters Show Of Shame by Misterone: 4:23pm On Jun 27, 2025
warrilawyer:
The recent coverage by the presenters of TVC concerning the unlawful demolition of a property in Lagos—allegedly belonging to Peter Obi’s brother—is a disgraceful masterclass in sycophancy, deflection, and journalistic malpractice. One would have expected outrage. One would have expected questions. Instead, the Nigerian people were treated to a nauseating display of political bootlicking and willful ignorance.

Rather than interrogate how a private property was destroyed without due process, without acknowledgment from the Lagos State Building Control Agency, and under the suspicious guise of a possession order against so-called "unknown persons", these presenters chose to parrot Reno Omokri’s asinine tweet—suggesting that Obi couldn’t possibly be targeted if his bank is still operational. What level of stupidity does it require to equate a man's personal business interests with the integrity of his family’s private property rights? This is the level of intellect TVC now considers newsworthy commentary.

But worse than the stupidity is the cowardice. Instead of asking who ordered the demolition, why LASBCA is denying involvement, whether proper notices were served, or why the court did not insist on visible, provable service to an adult occupant—especially in a country where legal processes are routinely forged, faked, and removed within minutes—these presenters, like well-trained lapdogs, repeated the tired, robotic line: "Go to court."

Go to court?

This is the go-to response of every coward and apologist in a captured democracy. It is the mantra of those who would rather stand on the sidelines while justice is violated, human dignity trampled, and homes destroyed—so long as they can keep their paychecks and please their political masters. Let’s not pretend. TVC is not an independent media house. It is a political extension of its owner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and it is operating precisely as one would expect: not to inform the public, but to protect the powerful.

Let us be clear about the law. A possession order is not a demolition order. They are not the same. You cannot, under any guise, demolish a structure—especially a structure with occupants—without proper statutory notice, without a separate demolition directive, and without the involvement of a regulatory body like LASBCA. If LASBCA denies involvement, then someone has committed a grievous crime, and it is the media’s job to ask who, when, how, and why.

But TVC doesn't care. It doesn’t want answers. It wants silence, confusion, and distraction. It wants to read Reno Omokri’s tweet like a dog chasing a thrown bone while the house burns in the background. It wants to shame critics into submission with empty slogans and smug grins. It wants to normalize lawlessness—as long as it serves the interests of its political godfather.

And what’s even more galling is the presenters' deliberate refusal to acknowledge the systemic abuse involved. In Lagos today, unscrupulous lawyers and court bailiffs are known to paste notices on walls at night and rip them down before dawn. This is not fiction—it is common knowledge. The courts themselves are aware, yet a judge, rather than demanding personal service on a known occupant or ensuring strict compliance with procedure, grants possession against “unknown persons”—a legally dubious shortcut that has now paved the way for armed thugs to raze a home to the ground. And the response from TVC? Go to court.

This isn’t journalism. It’s disgrace. It’s betrayal. It’s cowardice wrapped in fake neutrality. And if it weren’t so dangerous, it would be laughable.

Let us strip away the pretense. Even if the house did not belong to Peter Obi’s brother, this act would still be illegal, immoral, and indefensible. But the political context—Obi’s growing public support, the relentless attacks against him from known state proxies, the eerie timing of the demolition—makes the silence and smirking complicity of TVC all the more sinister.

TVC has proven itself to be not a media house, but a political instrument. Its presenters have revealed themselves not as journalists, but as mouthpieces for power, uninterested in truth, justice, or the rule of law. Their refusal to condemn this unlawful demolition is not neutrality—it is complicity. Their smug suggestions to "go to court" are not advice—they are cover for impunity.

Shame on you. Shame on your silence. Shame on your cowardice. And shame on the station that allows such pathetic excuses for journalism to masquerade as public service broadcasting.

You had a chance to speak truth to power. You chose instead to lick its boots. Let history record your choice.
Why this long epistle because of just one exposé! Rufai Oseni does this almost every day against Tinubu but no one writes this kind of long thing! Are you guys pained! You can't take what you give others daily?
