The verdict is out there except you lack understanding
The fact producers could not have buyers to buy their products to extent of having trillions of naira unsold goods as at Dec 2024,should bring it home to you
Multinationals are exiting the country in droves
Unemployment is pervasive
Poverty increasing at an alarming rate
If all these do not point to an economy that is down, I wonder what your definition of an economy that is down means or maybe in apc administration you don't rate economy
Story! Go and explain to your imperial masters

This is a man that have never criticized IPOB! An organization that has been destroying the economy and the GDP of his region.
When he was governor, he never did anything to improve the lives of his people other than to invest in a foreign brewery that has gone to the dogs.

The economy isn't down. The prices of commodities doesn't determine if an economy is down.

Honestly, if not for forum rules, these people deserve to be called lower ranking animals.

A pig rolling in the mud is far wiser than these baboons.

They are totally bereft of what is about to explode on Nigeria. They have no idea of the tornadoe that is about to hit Nigeria.

Forget about PETER OBI for once.

Tinubu is actually a total failure.

Before you call me MUMUDIENT or whatever, read through what I am about to say first.

In 2015, South Africa was Africa's second largest economy.

In 2024, they are number one. Not just that, they doubled their wealth!

Nigeria on the other hand practically retrogressed under these wild animals ruling Nigeria! Nigeria moved from first to fourth abi 5th! Not even second that South Africa was.

How can EGYPT be richer than Nigeria? Are these APC supporters these daft?

Nigeria was at least 450 billion dollar rich in 2015. Now, Nigeria is 188 billion poorer!

Who does that if not evil rulers viz a viz, Muhammadu Buhari and the worst of them, BOLA AHMED TINUBU. (The most useless president in the history of the world). This is verifiable to even the blind.

They are even talking of 2027. No one is talking about REAL GOVERNANCE that should happen between 2023 to 2027!

You see how stewpid these APC supporters are?

Like I said before, forget about PETER OBI for once.

We want to see the workings of the USELESS government of the man called BOLA AHMED TINUBU. Power had been grabbed. Now use it wisely? Never!

Who can tell me why these TINUBU supporters are this brainless?
You just wrote rubbish. Just because we devalue our currency doesn't mean our economy is down

It doesn't matter.

This year's budget was based on oil being above 75 dollar per barrel. The current oil price is below that. So, loans will be taken whether we like it or not.

Also , we need oil to be above 130 dollars per barrel to balance our budget. The oil price is lower than that,so loans have to be taken

Even with the 75 dollar benchmark, a deficit of 13 trillion was factored into this year's budget. More loans to be taken

The above table is an exercise in self deceit. Yes debts be paid thanks to subsidy removal freeing up more money, but it does not mean that we will stop taking loans

Until we cure our dutch disease. Tinubu does not have the medication and is just continuing on the same old same old.

I pity Nigeria

And no, obi or atiku are not the answer either..obi was saying he would borrow to pay subsides. Hahahaha
stop writing rubbish!

*Dear Peter Obi,*

When Lagos State lawfully demolished part of Landmark Beach Resort in April 2024 to make way for the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway, you and Obi Ezekwesili IMMEDIATELY went to town, accusing both the Federal and Lagos State Governments of targeting Igbo businesses. You broke the Internet dancing naked in the streets.

You paid a solidarity visit to Maryanne Moghalu three days after she tweeted, 'Invest in Lagos at your own peril'.

But you have not said a word twenty-four hours after the Anambra State Government demolished Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing's office for a road project. You have maintained a stoic silence.

Why the double standards, Peter?

That is Peter Obi's regular trademark. If it happens in Igboland, Obi will suddenly become deaf, dumb, and blind. But if it occurs in the North or Southwest, Peter Obi will dance naked in public like a madman.

Or am I lying?

Peter Obi investment different.

For someone to invest in you, they would see potentials. They agreed to come build their factory, they spent initial 100m dollars. That’s means Peter Obi attracted 100m dollars investment.

Peter Obi the invested back, but your economy no dey let am rest, you damn don’t have an economy. A stable one.

Abeg e don do. Una just dumb. Fact check

Obi made the investments as long-term diversification for state revenue, not quick-profit schemes.
Investing surplus funds (instead of excessive government spending) was viewed as fiscally responsible by many analysts and citizens.
The investments didn't vanish, even if their value fluctuated — and some were still held as assets.

Long term investment is not MMM, CBEX etc

mrvitalis:
One thing I have always said is if I ever decide to be governor or president Economics would be made compulsory in all schools from SS1 to university 200 level...

Volume of debt or size of debt is not an issue
Ability to repay is the issue

Someone can owe 2 million and be worse than someone who owe 10 billion

In nigeria the issue we talk about is our revenue to debt servicing is too high..

We need to increase revenue, sadly the only way to do that is to borrow more but use it for what would generate revenue or ability to pay back the loan

So borrowing and using it to build road, bridge, rails, and the reat feel good projects is foolishness... Very big foolishness

And that's what APC have been doing since
Oga, you know nothing about economics. The first rule of governance is that : Government have no business in business. Government is all about welfare. Business is all about profit.
Now, how do you tax your citizen, use the money to create a business then request for profit as a means of revenue generation? That is criminality.
Building or construction of roads and bridges is a means of generating revenue. First, the workers pay tax. Second, roads bring about development. An access road to a land increases the price of the land, it also enhance ease of doing business in the area. This encourages business and the businessman will pay tax. Revenue is created.
