frozen70: Instead of stopping her over what she has made up her mind with
You guys should leave her do what she wants
If it comes out good or bad, that's her luck
You can't actually stop a moving train
The best your family can do is to ask her to keep the child with you people so that she can be free and that she is free to visit the child and she will be responsible for the child education and welfare The child's education and welfare is being taken care of by us and not her. |

Coolgent: Sorry about the demise of your brother. Honestly speaking I think is better for her to remarry then to be mingle with someone. We were created differently at this point of her life she need someone close to her as ages are not on her side (she need to have more kids before she reach menopause) In a nutshell don't consider this as an act of disrespect towards your late brother. In my religion wife is free to remarry after 4 months 10 days of her husband demise. Ok. Thanks. My issue isn't about her remarrying. It's about the safety and well-being of my niece. She's taking her to the new husband's house |

Prolificdeman: Hy guys, through my rigorous search for a better and more conducive country, a friend suggested South Korea for me. Have done a little research on it and would like to hear from Nigerians living in any of this country and how good the country is. Is it good for business, and what's the fastest or the easiest way for migration? Education or Immigrant visa?
Please note I would like to move with my family just me and wifey, and would also like to know my chances of succeeding in such countries.
Why others are moving to the West, would like to use it as a stepping stone to other countries.
Looking forward to the experiences and suggestions of people living in this country.
Also note that we are working on a tight budget and would like to country we can easily move to without breaking a bank.
I'm a young fellow and looking forward relocating to start on a fresh slate. My business here is no longer like before and would like to make faster decisions before everything goes south.
Looking forward to your suggestions. Still waiting plsss Got your private message. Lots of persons keep sending me PMs and when I reply, they become nonchalant. I really can't fathom |

I know a lot of you will call me all sorts of unprintable names and would want to nameshame me.
My Elder brother died about nine months ago and his wife is about to Remarry.
They had been married for ten whole years, but unable to bear a child for 7years, until God blessed them with a beautiful and lovely baby Girl. We all celebrated and were joyous. A few weeks after childbirth, my brother became sick. What initially looked like an ulcer became something else, and he had to go under the knife. After the surgery, there were some Terrible complications, which resulted in his eventual demise. Most painful part was, he had just landed his dream job after five years of graduation. He was extremely depressed as a result of this joblessness until luck smiled at him. He was traveling round the world like he was going to his backyard. He was breezing in and out of Nigeria for official duties until the sickness struck. Now it's been nine months, and she already made her intentions known to my family that she wants to Remarry. Meanwhile, the baby is just two and half years old.
As a woman, I understand how lonely and traumatized she is. I perfectly understand what she's going through but myself and my family feel it's too too early for this. We, her late husband's family didn't and have never interfered in her dealings. All my brother's properties are in her custody, the Businesses they co-owned are all in her care.
I thought she would have waited a bit much longer to do this, considering how much she seemingly loved her late husband. Meanwhile she's 38yrs old. Her parents have told her to wait for some time, but she wouldn't listen. But before making her intentions known to my family, we already suspected that she was seeing someone else, going by the way she was acting.
I'm now the next in command in my family after my elder Brother's death, but I'm also a woman and have limited powers. Even if I had all the powers, I still wouldn't be Able to stop her from doing what she wants. After All, she's older than me.
I'm really pissed now as she will be taking my niece to live with another man. She's marrying a man who already has two wives, making her the third.
What should I do?

My gender and Money. If he wasn't rich, who would have wanted to be a second wife or third, fourth and even 19th. Mind you, these are fresh young ladies who I believe had never had children from any another man. Now how will he satisfy them? There's every likelihood that 1/2 of them will have extramarital affairs cos of lack of sufficient attention |

Nairaland General › At Your Age, What's That Thing You Would Never Do No Matter The Peer Pressure? by MistyDense(op): 11:32am On Sep 25, 2025 |
In life, there are some things you will never indulge yourself in, no matter how Pressured you are. I mean pressure from your peers. No matter their influence on you, you will never give in. For some persons, it's Smoking. To others, drinking, gambling, womanizing, mannizing, clubbing etc.
When I was in school, I had friend who smoked all kinds of stuffs, I was the only one who never tried it. They called me all sorts of names, but I never gave a hoot because of my background. I also had friends who were into hookups just to see themselves through sch and cater for their insatiable wants. I was called "Holy Mary" at some point. I decided against involving myself in all that, not because of spiritualism or religiosity. But because of Morality and personal conviction that these things are wrong and detrimental, not just to ones health, but future entirely.
I want to encourage you my brothers and sisters to not succumb to peer pressure of any sort, no matter how enticing and attractive it may appear. So, share with us what you would never do no matter the peer pressure.
I'm MistyDense and I just want to make common sense.

Go and meet a powerful Babalawo to fortify you if you're ready for politics. Politics in Nigeria isn't for the fainthearted. I already knew this.
I was supposed to be made my ward councilor three years back, but I rejected it cos I wasn't ready. It was zoned to my clan at the time and I appeared to be the appealing to my people. But I ran away. Also, my local council chairman wanted to knack me, several other contestants within and outside my party weren't smiling at me at all. The odds weren't favorable to me, especially morally and spiritually, so I had to run for my dear life. I can't die like a cockroach cos of ordinary councillor |

Rizzputin: Nothing much to say besides your bro chose the wrong girl from the start AND/OR messed up the relationship somehow.
Either way, he should ignore her and find someone else. If he forgives her, she'll cheat on him with that same guy and more. The way some of you talk like you "know it all" is really puzzling and baffling, to say the least. How would you know you've chosen the wrong woman from the onset? Based on the story, how did he mess up. Mess up in what aspect? |

Politics › What If Fubara Refuses To Return Back As Rivers Governor? by MistyDense(op): 11:30am On Sep 18, 2025*. Modified: 12:05pm On Sep 18, 2025 |
As a young lady who loves Politics, I've being asking myself this question. What if His Excellency, Sim Fubara Refuses to take back his position after the expiration of his Suspension from Office?
Given the Circumstances that preceded his suspension and even it's aftermath, some persons with high ego and pride may not be willing to return to the government house again. We all saw how Fubara was maligned, disrespected and ridiculed by Wike's Praise singers. No Governor deserves such treatment. No one.
But this is Nigeria. I don't see any Black man on this Earth, especially a Nigerian Politician turning down such opportunity. Maybe I'm the only one who can potentially do such. I would not take it back. After all, I'm already a rich man and I have lots of investments and businesses here and there. However, I know power intoxicates in no small way and people are never satisfied. Nigerian Politicians would want to remain on that seat till eternity, if they had their ways.
But look at the situation from a legal and constitutional standpoint, does Fubara have the Legal backing and Right to decide against returning to office?

drstranged: I believe the so called fucking was of MUTUAL CONSENT between the two parties, two consenting adults and so it has nothing to do with his authority over her. He can't take permission from the father of an adult lady who has willingly opened her legs for him. On the aspect of faithfulness, if we're going by your logic it means the girl has every right to Bleep any guy she sees and deems fit and thus turn herself into a prostitute. Isn't it better she stays faithful to one man in a proper RELATIONSHIP/COURTSHIP before he does the formal proceeding for marriage. Relationships/courtships are necessary for couples to know themselves properly before committing to marriage. And in this phase of relationship, it's expected that both parties are committed and loyal to each other. On the aspect of sex in relationship, I don't subscribe to it because it's not moral but again one can argue for the fact that it's of mutual consent and secondly, as a human you can't judge a man from a moral point of view because you also do immoral stuffs too...more like pot calling kettle black. His sins might be sexual, yours might be stealing or telling lies. Only God can morally judge a man. So in every sense, that man was right to have expected a reasonable degree of loyalty from that girl he was in a relationship with, which I believe was a prelude to meeting her people formally for marriage. If she can't be faithful to him in a courtship then she won't be in marriage. Simple. Pls don't waste ur precious time replying that moniker. Pls 🙏 |
