Nigeria is gone. Nigeria is already gone to the Dogs. No single day passes without an ugly report of insecurity. People can no longer travel. The roads are deplorable and can lead to death. If the bad state of the road does not kill you from accident, commercial kidnappers will capture Passengers and kill them even after the captives' family have paid their ransoms. I pray for their safe release. It's well. |

badaru911:Twice shy. Omorr Bro, people dey dis life I swear. I can never do this if I was that woman. Where is our conscience for God's sakes? |
Good afternoon guys, So I have a customer who I buy soft drinks(minerals, malt, recharge cards and Bags of sachet water from). She also does POS business. This is where I patronize her the most. This woman is in her late 40s, I call her "mummy". I buy things from her almost everyday since her shop is close to my house. Sometimes, I buy her drinks. I also buy drinks for her last child, a girl who is 7years of age. 2/5 times I go there, I buy her whatever I'm buying for myself. If her baby girl is in the shop, I also buy her drinks and biscuits. I give her money to safeguard for me, especially when I need to use the money later. This helps me not to spend the money except for the purpose it is meant for. Whenever I buy bread on my way back from work, and I pass through her shop to make withdrawals, she would ask me if I bought same bread for her. Then I would say No, I didn't. Afterwards, she will ask me to get her a loaf the next day. And I will gladly do it. These are loaves of bread worth 2k cos I don't eat these small small breads. I have bought her bread like five times on different occasions and each was 2k. Sometimes, I go to her shop and meet her with her friends, I will buy them malt and pay. Also, whenever I keep money in her custody, and I'm collecting the money in bits, she will be charging me. For instance, if I told her I needed 2k from same money I gave her to save for me, she will give me the 2k cash and also deduct her charges. I never complained because I felt she was only doing her business. There was a time I bought a bottle of coke and biscuits worth five hundred naira(500) and I couldn't pay back for almost two weeks. To my shock, this woman kept sending people to me to come pay her the money. She even had to come knock on my door. I felt really embarrassed. But no hard feelings, I continued patronizing her. Do you know that each time I give her money to keep for me, I always dash her 2k from same Money?. This is just to appreciate her. I find joy in giving. Now this is happened today: I went to her shop to pay her for the items(a bag of sachet water, malt and airtime) I collected yesterday. The total was #1600( One thousand and six hundred naira only). I went there, withdrew 6k and I asked her to take out her 1600 and give me my balance after also deducting her 100 charges. When she gave me the balance, I remembered I still needed another 2k, so right there, without moving an inch, I asked her to give me another 2k. I gave her my ATM card and pleaded with her to take 50naira for her charges instead of the usual 100naira charges. But she refused and insisted on her maximum 100naira charges. I initially thought she was joking, but no she wasn't. She gave me Back the 50naira I had given her and withdrew 2100 from the POS and handed over to me. I stood still for a few seconds and began to ask myself some salient questions. Like, is this how people are? This is a woman that I have NEVER benefitted anything from and I thought the least she could do for me was to accept that 50naira without contemplating or having to think twice. I'm thinking of completely cutting off from her cos I feel terrible right now. I feel like I've being a fool all this while. May God help us in this world. Nlfpmod |
Please, can someone just try to make me understand the whole reason for our existence? Because I'm always asking myself this question. What exactly are we here for? You're Born into an Evil world, you have to struggle to make it. And while struggling, you could just die at any time. Even after making it, you can't just enjoy the fruits of your labor. A man Weds today, spends all his life's savings on the wedding, and the next day, he dies, leaving the woman a widow. Someone works so hard, saves money for many years, buys a car, and the next week, he dies from a fatal accident. You're traveling by air, and the plane crashes. Nobody even gets your corpse to bury. What exactly are we here for? In Nigeria especially, To live, you must first Die. Nlfpmod

They paid ransoms to be released by their captors. I don't understand Why these army and other security agencies lie so pathetically. Gosh! |

And hunger wan kpai me for here. God when? When God? Ah! God I'm not asking for a private jet, neither am I asking for a car or Bicycle, I only need what I can survive with my family at this time. |
AngelahFlo:I got your mail |
Jeezuzpick:I swear, no be small maggots and some black black tiny living tins dey dey under that basket o. U need to be removing the plates and be washing the entire basket from time to time |
do4luv14:So annoying. Especially when the hunger serious |
DeepSight:I swear. I personified them. 😂 |
This is a very funny basket for plates. When you're in a rush to eat, finding spoon in that basket can be a daunting task. You can over a hundred spoons in there, but may not be able to get one while you're rushing. This is because there is a certain spot within the basket that the spoons go to hide, thereby making it difficult to access them. It can be annoying some times. Share your thoughts on this.

Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has introduced far-reaching reforms in the state’s education sector to protect parents, reduce exploitative practices, and make learning more accessible for children. Under the new policy framework, schools are directed to abolish the use of customized exercise and textbooks that restrict transfer to other learners, thereby restoring the traditional practice where senior students can pass down books to their juniors. The Governor also ordered the discontinuation of compulsory after-school lessons, except where parents give consent, as well as the abolition of mandatory graduation ceremonies for kindergarten, nursery, and basic schools. These reforms, to be implemented from the first term of the 2025/2026 academic session, are designed to relieve parents of unnecessary financial burdens while ensuring that education remains people-focused and affordable. To ensure smooth implementation, a consultative meeting with school proprietors, Parent-Teacher Associations, and other education stakeholders has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Governor Alia has assured that his administration will continue to prioritize policies that uplift families and guarantee quality education for every child in Benue State.
