DEADLY HABITS! BEWARE!! Habits when formed are usually too hard to break. More awful it becomes if these are sinful habits. This inevitaly contaminate the spiritual life and eventually damn the soul. Sinful habits of gossip and suspicion thrive most of the life of the unregenerate sinners and presumtuous Christians who claims religion without righteousness. Both sinful habits destroy lives. The one destroys the person being slandered while the other destroys the sufferer himself/ herself. Do u realise that many Christians are vulnerable to these sinful habits when they are expected to be channels of blessings to the lives of all around them? It is most unfortunate! For the suspecious, he sins within the heart while the gossip voice it out. The suspecious finds fault within every action, look, gesture and speach of the neighbours, friends or brethren. He/she reads wrong meaning into inocent actions taken by another. Some are even so infected by this deadly sin that they consequently create rejection of self and become wounded at heart. The gossip on the other hand spreads rumours, faults, scandals and sometimes falsehood about others, thus destroying reputation, love and and unity. Do you realise that both the tale-bearers and gossip are culprit before the Lord? Beloved, either of these sinful habits in your life demostrates the lack of practical love which condones no evil. Therefore, if you have been inflicted with any of these deadly sins, then you need help from the saviour to purge u clean. As you are washed, watch over your heart and never give room to the devil, he is always seeking how to plan these habits in hearts of men in order to ruin good relationships.
