JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

The Finance Analyst is an integral member of our strategic management team covering a range of responsibilities including:

Management Accounting:

• Oversee cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting and balance sheet management.
• Ensure that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected
• Ensure that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies.
• Review monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance.
• Establish accounting operational strategies by working with engineering team, identifying requirement gaps, automating processes, and implementing updates to internal tools.
• Coordinate work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records.

Business Analysis & Finance Modeling
• Create Accurate financial Forecasts for the business while managing clear, controlled Reporting and Analysis
• Participates in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for the business
• Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan, forecast, and prior year
• Drives business forecasting process through collaboration across the business
• Provides risk analysis for contingency planning
• Provides insightful and competitive analytics that anticipate change and drive decision making
• Apply external perspective and maintain knowledge of the business’s competitive environment, market conditions, customers, and profit drivers.
• Provide effective and timely financial information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure that Business leaders are effective in creating and executing the business segment’s strategy and operating plan.

Corporate Finance & Investor Engagement:
• Development and maintenance of financial models, controls, and documentation relevant to the on-going project financing activities of the business
• Provision of modelling and analytical support for discussions with various stakeholders:
1. Internal (e.g. workstreams, Executive Management Team); and
2. External (e.g. financial advisors, shareholders, banks, Export Credit Agencies, Infrastructure Projects financiers Authority, Government Institutions)
• Assistance with all other items of project financing, incl. contract analysis, insurance, accounting and tax, and shareholder support
• Assistance with handling both capital raising and due diligence analysis by external stakeholders

Required Skills
Within your skills and qualifications, you will…
• Be proud of your post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance or business and even more proud of your accounting designation (CIMA, ACA, ACCA,CFA )
• Have a minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant experience
• Be an expert user with Excel and other MicroSoft Office products
• Have a sound knowledge of management accounting principles and financial accounting principles (IFRS)
• Be overly analytical and detail orientated when it comes to financial data

Our client, a leading day spa in Ikeja seeks qualified candidates to fill the role of a business development and customer acquisition manager.

Responsibilities:[b][/b]

Responsible for outlining strategic and effective plans for expanding the business and Customer base. you will be at the forefront of the business
Develop strategy for the Business - essentially a business plan of how each Business unit can sell their beauty products and services into salons, department stores, homes etc
Conduct regular market analysis studies - gathering intelligence on competitor brands, consumer trends with the aim of ensuring the company maintains a strong competitive edge
Identify new opportunities and channels - extending the reach of a product/service to increase its commercial success. Business development strategy may highlight new geographic areas to sell the products/services into, new sectors, new business types, clients etc.
Create and submit business proposals - this is an integral part the job and will involve both writing formal business proposals and presenting in person
Negotiate and close business deals
Generate leads - a company needs leads to sell to if its going to grow its client base.
A program of ongoing leads generation is therefore essential
Account management - Maintaining a good ongoing client relationship
