The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the fuel subsidy regime under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, administration as a monumental fraud and an unpardonable scam against the Nigerian state.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), yesterday said that cyber criminals are taking advantage of the Coronavirus (COVID’19) pandemic to defraud Nigerian citizens.

The apex bank, in a press statement signed by its Director Corporate Communications, Isaac Okoroafor, explained that some of the fraud tactics used are phishing campaigns, relief packages and impersonations.

The Akwa Ibom governor, Udom Emmanuel, has said there was no confirmed case of the novel coronavirus in Akwa Ibom State, and there was no need to shut down schools in the state.

The management of the University of Lagos has implored its students and staff to adhere strictly to all recommended safety measures against the dreaded Coronavirus disease.
This is contained in a statement signed by the institution’s Principal Assistant Registrar, Communication Unit, Mrs. Taiwo Oloyede, in Lagos on Friday.
